| Natural Gas To Improve Boeing Jets Fuel Efficient By 60 Percent Posted: 21 Mar 2012 09:30 AM PDT Boeing has this week unveiled a new aircraft and propulsion system called SUGAR Freeze, which has been developed by Boeing to revolutionise air travel and make their planes 60 percent more fuel efficient. SUGAR which stands for Subsonic Ultra Green Aircraft Research was a project commissioned by NASA and can be seen pictured at the bottom of this article . The new aircraft concept uses cryogenically stored liquified natural gas, which completes the Freeze part of the concepts name. They use a laser pulse to bounce photons of surfaces, the photos then travel back to the camera and it can measure how far away an unseen object is, have a look at the video of it in cation below.
