| Australian Government To Take Apple To Court Over 4G Claims On New iPad? | LG’s 55 Inch OLED TV To Launch In May For $7,900 Posted: 27 Mar 2012 03:44 AM PDT We first saw LG’s new 55 inch OLED TV at CES in January, and we previously heard that it would launch in the 2nd quarter of 2012, and now it would appear we may have a possible launch date. According to a recent report LG will launch their new 55 inch OLED TV in May during the Cannes Film festival, and the device is expected to retail for 9 million Won which works out at around $7,900.

Now the guys from PC world decided to compare the running temperatures of the new iPad against a number of different Android tablets, and it turns out that the running temperatures are very similar.

| Google To Bring Google Voice Integration To Other Carriers Posted: 27 Mar 2012 02:22 AM PDT Sprint is currently the only carrier that integrates Google Voice into its service, although it looks like this may be about to change, as Google has told Cnet that they are looking at partnerships with other carriers. Vincent Paquet, who is the Group product Manager for Google Voice told Cnet that “We are having discussions with other carriers about this,”, although he didn’t give any specific information on which carriers Google were in talks with.

| NFC Enabled Smartphone Shipments Hit 30 Million In 2011 Posted: 27 Mar 2012 01:44 AM PDT Last year we saw quite a few NFC (near field communication) enabled smartphones launch, and we can expect to see many more this year, now according to a recent report we get some information on how many NFC enabled handsets were shipped last year. According to research firm Berg Insight, there were around 30 million NFC enabled mobile phones shipped in 2011, and these are expected to increase dramatically over the next few years.

| The Cloud To Offer Free WiFi To London Overground Stations Posted: 27 Mar 2012 01:26 AM PDT Earlier this month we heard that Virgin Media would be offering free WiFi on the London Underground this summer for the 2012 Olympics, and now another provider, The Cloud has announced that they will also offer free WiFi to London’s overground stations. The service will launch this summer in time for the Olympics, and commuters will get up to one hour of free WiFi when they are at a station, after this time they can purchase more time if they need.

| Apple’s Siri Becoming More Popular According To Report Posted: 27 Mar 2012 12:48 AM PDT It looks like Apple’s voice activated virtual assistant is becoming more popular according to a recent report by consulting firm Park Associates, who surveyed iPhone 4S owners of their usage of Apple’s Siri. According to the report, 87 percent of the iPhone 4S owners use Apple’s Siri at least once a month, and people seem to be using Siri for making phone calls and sending text messages.

ITV Digital, which originally started out as On Digital here in the UK was a pre-paid TV service, that became popular, and one of Murdoch’s companies, NDS allegedly used hacker site Thoic, or The House of Ill Compute to put ITV digital out of business.

If you go to Google’s homepage today you will notice that the navigation bar has changed, and you will now see a listing for Google Play, with the word ‘new’ next to it in red.

| Microsoft To Launch An Xbox Lite In 2013? The new comes from MSNerd, who posted the information on Reddit, and the Xbox Lite would be a stripped down version of the Xbox which would be capable of playing Xbox Live games, and running Kinect apps.

| Apple’s New iPad Can Run For 25 Hours As A 4G Hotspot Posted: 26 Mar 2012 11:06 PM PDT Apple’s new iPad comes with a much larger battery than the iPad 2, it also comes with 4G LTE, which is the main reason for the new larger battery, and now it looks like the device can be quite useful as a 4G mobile hotspot. The guys over at AnandTech have been testing the battery life out on the new iPad and they have tested the device as a 4G mobile hotspot on Verizon’s 4G network.
