Microsoft Unveils Project Detroit Mustang

Microsoft has announced one the coolest projects I’ve ever seen come out of the software giant called Project Detroit. The project is a concept car at intended to inspired developers to build apps and automotive technologies for the future. The project uses a 2012 Ford Mustang that looks like a 67 Mustang fastback.

Nintendo 3DS Gets 3-D Music Videos

Battlestar Galactica Viper Full Motion Flight Simulator (video)

In preparation for the next upcoming Maker Faire Bay Area, a group of 5 high school students plus parents and mentors from Marin, Oakland, and San Francisco, are all combining their efforts to create a science-fiction full motion flight simulator which has been inspired by the Colonial Vipers from Battlestar Galactica movie and TV series.

Starhawk Two Player Screen Layout Unveiled

The Sony Playstation Blog has unveiled a few new screenshots of the Starhawk two player multiscreen layouts, you can expect to use in the upcoming Starhawk game which is currently under development, once its launched.

The split screen allows you to play with another friend on the same PS3 console. Unfortunately though while in two player mode you can’t earn trophies or or character customisations, such as outfits, paint jobs, decals as these features are saved directly to your PS3 console.

Windows Phone Marketplace Hits 70,000 Apps

Yesterday Microsoft launched their Windows Phone platform in China, and the company also revealed some details on how many applications are available in the Windows Phone Marketplace.

According to Microsoft, the Windows Phone Marketplace now has more than 70,000 apps, with more than 300 applications being added per day.

Acer Iconia Tab A510 Goes Up For Pre-order

Acer showed off their new NVIDIA Tegra 3 powered Iconia Tab A510 at this years CES and now the device is available to pre-order direct from Acer, and it comes with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The Acer Inconia Tab A510 is powered by a quad core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and it features a 10.1 inch multi-touch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.

Fake Android Store Discovered In China

We have seen plenty of fake Apple’s stores in China, last year quite a few were discovered and then subsequently shut down by the authorities, but I think this may be the first fake Android store we have seen.

The photo below was taken by Brian Glucroft from Isidor’s Fugue, and the store is located in Nanping in Zhuhai in the Guangdong province.

Acamar Transformer Windows Netbook Unveiled

Chinese company Acamar have this week unveiled their new Netbook, which has been designed to easily transform from a netbook into a tablet. Which is not radically new I agree, but the Acamar Transformer is equipped with just a 8.9 inch display.

The Acamar Transfomer is equipped with a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N450 single core processor, supported by 2GB of DDR3 memory. With storage provided by a 120 GB hard drive.

Google Street View Now Available In the Amazon (Video)

Single Unique Hublot “Antikythera” Watch Going Up For Auction

Watch maker Hublot has been painstakingly recreating a 2,100 year old clockwork relic, which was found off the Greek island of Antikythera in a shipwreck beneath the waves. Now that the clockwork mechanism has been recreated by Hublot, they have decided to include it in to one of their very unique watches.

New Surveillance Camera Can Read 36 Million Images In One Second

A new surveillance camera system has been developed by Hitachi Kokusai Electric, that is capable or reading 36 million faces in just one second.

The camera can detect a face from either a regular photo or from surveillance footage, and the search results are immediately displayed.

Yamaha Vocaloid Keyboard Sings (video)

Yamaha has developed a new style of keyboard which has been created to also sing. The new Yamaha Vocaloid Keyboard is equipped with a extra set of 16 keys which can be used to control consonants, vowels, and the two types of voicing marks.

Toshiba Unveils 13.3 Inch AT330 Android ICS Tablet (Video)

Toshiba has shown off a new Android tablet in Germany, the Toshiba AT330 which comes with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The Toshiba AT330 features a 13.3 inch multi-touch touchscreen display that has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, although this hasn’t been confirmed as yet.

New iPad 3 Crux360 Keyboard Case

Since the new iPad 3 launched last week a number of new cases designed for the tablet have started to become available. One of these is the new iPad 3 Crux360 Keyboard Case, which can be used either with or without a keyboard attached.

Nikon D800 DSLR Goes On Sale In Japan

Panasonic Eluga Launches In Japan March 29th, Europe Next Month

iPhoto For iPad Hits 1 Million Downloads In 10 Days

Along with the launch of the new iPad, Apple also launched a couple of new apps for the iPad and iPhone, one of those was iPhoto, and it looks like the app has become extremely popular.

Adobe Releases Free Photoshop CS6 Beta

Commodore USA has resurrected another Commodore brand with the launch of the Commodore Amiga Mini PC, and this one is a little more powerful than the original Commodore Amiga.

Zynga Buys ‘Draw Something’ Game Maker OMGPOP

Zynga has acquired OMGPOP, the maker of one of the most popular mobile games at the moment ‘Draw Something’, and whilst no details on the deal have been disclosed, there are reports that Zynga have paid around $200 million for OMGPOP.

Draw Something is extremely popular, the game has been downloaded more than 30 million times, and is played in 84 countries around the world.
