Genius unveils Imperator Pro Gaming Keyboard

Genius has been launching a lot of new gaming accessories and peripherals lately falling into the GX gaming family. The latest product to come along in the GX series is a new keyboard called the Imperator Pro that is specifically aimed at the MMO or RTS gamer. The keyboard has backlighting and you can choose your own color from 16 million RGB varieties.

TARDIS Smart Safe Hits Pre-Order in US

Remember in late January when we talked about the Doctor Who TARDIS Smart Safe? This thing is a small toy safe with a slot for the iPhone on the back. It has doors that open once the correct code is input and an app that runs on the iPhone.

Leaked Assassin’s Creed 3 Artwork Reveals American Revolution Setting

Artwork has been leaked by a Best Buy employee that reveals the new Assassin’s Creed III game will be set during the American Revolution. The artwork pictured in full after the break shows the  new Assassin wearing what appears to be an 18th-century military jacket together with matching age weapons. The character also looks to be native American in origin, but this is still to be officially confirmed by Ubisoft.

Dolphin Android Browser Now Equipped With Voice Control

MoboTap the developers of the popular alliterative mobile browser Dolphin, have rolled out a new update to their Dolphin Browser on Android, which brings with it a number of great new features as well as voice-control.

The new voice control features called Dolphin Sonar enables users to use their voice to carry out searches, share, bookmark, navigate and more.

SmugMug Launches Camera Awesome iOS App (video)

SmugMug has today launched a new camera application for iOS devices called Camera Awesome. The free iOS application has been created to provide users with an array of tweaks and functions to manipulate images and photographs.

The SmugMug Camera Awesome application is now available to download for free from the iTunes App Store and requires iOS 4.3 or later to function. Watch the video after the jump to see SmugMug’s Camera Awesome application in action.

Trike Drifting Looks Awesome (video)

Unfortunately I don’t have a three wheel trike lying handily around in the office at the moment, but if I did I would definitely be busy modifying it for a go at this. If you have a spare trike lying around you might be interested in this video showing a new trike drifting sport using modified trikes. Which might well be worth a go if you fancy a bit of an adrenaline rush.

Apple To Launch A Smaller 7.85 Inch iPad Mini Later This Year (Rumor)

Apple will announced their new iPad 3 at a special event next Wednesday, the device is expected to feature a similar design to the existing iPad 2 although it is rumored to come with a higher resolution display than the existing model.

We heard earlier today that Apple may also continue to sell the iPad 2 alongside the new iPad 3, with a new 8GB iPad 2 available at a cheaper price.

BioShock Infinite Release Date Announced (video)

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 In Action (Video)

One of the new tablets that was announced at this years Mobile World Congress, is the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1m which comes with a 10.1 inch touchscreen display.

The 10.1 inch display features a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and the device comes with a multi-screen function which you can see in action in the video below.

Readability iOS Application Launches

Readability fans who have been waiting patiently for the highly anticipated iOS application to arrive. Will be pleased to know the wait it is now over and the new iOS Readability app is now available to download from the iTunes App Store.

We mentioned that the new Readability iOS applications were readying for release back in November 2011, but now the finishing touches have been added to the Readability application for its official launch. Sony’s Quad Core Smartphones Not Coming Until 2013?

A number of manufacturers showed off quad core smartphones at this years Mobile World Congress, Sony didn’t show off any new quad core devices and now it appears that we may have to wait until 2013 to see quad core smartphones from Sony.

Cnet Asia recently spoke to Stephen Sneeden, who is the product marketing manager for Sony Mobile, and he indicated that Sony wont release any quad core smartphones until next year.

Asus Transformer Pad 300 Tablet Appears At The FCC

On Monday Asus introduced a new version of their Transformer Android tablet, the Asus Transformer Pad 300, which is designed to be a cheaper version of their Transformer Prime Tablet.

Navy Railgun Prototype Shown Off On Video

The Navy has tested one of two new prototype railguns, which can be seen in the video below, and the railgun is a 32 megajoule prototype weapon which has been made by BAE systems, and the device has been fired six times in the last week.

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection #1 Arriving March 20th

Today Activision have announced that they will be launching their new Content Collection #1 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on March 20th for the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live. The new content collection will include four brand-new multiplayer maps : Liberation, Piazza, Overwatch and Black Box. Together with new Special Ops missions Black Ice and Negotiator, and marks the first time a Special Ops has been made available by Activision for gamers to download.

Nokia 808 PureView Promo Video Released

Ultra Thin MacBook Pro Coming In April?

We have been hearing rumors for some time that Apple will launch a newly designed MacBook Pro this year, the new MacBook Pro is rumored to have a much thinner design than the existing model.

The new design is said to be much more like Apple’s ultra thin MacBook Air, and now according to a recent report by Digitimes, we may see these new MacBook Pro’s in April.

Gamestop Planning Mass Effect 3 Midnight Launch Events

Gamestop has today revealed that they will be organising Mass Effect 3 midnight launch events at over 3,600 of their stores throughout the US. But don’t worry if you will be unable to make any of the events in person as fans will also be able to participate and interact with the Mass Effect 3 development team virtually. Samsung Galaxy S II Lands On US Cellular

We heard last month that Samsung’s massively popular Galaxy S II smartphone was headed to US Cellular, the handset is now available for $229.99 after a $100 mail in rebate.

The Galaxy S II is available when you sign up to a new two year contract with the carrier, and the device recently won the GSMA best smartphone award at this years Mobile World Congress.

Sony Dropping Its Cell Processor For Next Generation PlayStation Console?

It’s been revealed that Sony may not be using its custom developed Cell processor or any variant of the chip in its next PlayStation gaming console. A gaming industry source has divulged to the Kotaku gaming website.

Sony first developed the Cell processor with help from Sony Computer Entertainment, Toshiba, and IBM, and was designed to make the PS3 the most powerful games console in the world. Unfortunately for games developers the Cell processor was tricky hardware to work with and failed to knock the Xbox 360 into touch.

iPad 3 To Be Available In WiFi, 3G And 4G Models?

In just under a week Apple will unveil its third generation tablet, the iPad 3, or iPad HD, and the device is rumored to come with a higher resolution display than the existing iPad 2.

Nokia Lumia 900 Appears At The FCC

The Nokia Lumia 900 is due to go on sale in the US this month, Nokia also recently announced that they would be releasing the Nokia Lumia 900 in Canada and Europe and now the device has appeared at the FCC.

The Nokia Lumia 900 features a single core 1.4GHz processor, plus a rear facing 8 megapixel camera with an f2.2 Carl Zeiss lens, the rear camera is capable of recording HD video in 720p, up front there is 1 megapixel camera with an f2.4 lens.

Samsung Ships Two Million Galaxy Note Devices

It looks like Samsung’s Galaxy note has become a popular device, as Samsung has announced that they have now shipped a total of 2 million Galaxy Note’s since the device was launched last year.

Option has this week unveiled whats currently the worlds smallest mobile 3G and WiFi Hotspot, powered by a USB connection. Allowing you to install the device where ever there maybe a free USB port.

Once inserted into a USB port the XYFI mobile 3G, WiFi hotspot can be administered via a web-based GUI and dedicated mobile pages. Its even equipped with its own microSD card slot which can be used to share files and documents over your local network.

We have been wondering what Apple would do with the iPad 2 when they launch the new iPad 3 next week, and now it would appear that Apple may sell the iPad 2 alongside the iPad 3 as a cheaper model.

This is something Apple has done in the past with the iPhone, offering last years model as a cheap option alongside the new device, and now it would appear that they could be following the same pattern with the iPad 2 and iPad 3.

Wacom Unveils Next Generation Intuos 5 Drawing Tablets

Today Wacom has unveiled their next generation line of Intuos 5 drawing tablets, that have been designed to provide professional photographers, designers and artists a more natural interface for digital content creation.

The drawing tablet also come supplied with a Intuos 5 Grip Pen that Wacom has equipped with 2048 levels of pen pressure and up to 60 degrees of tilt.

Swarming Quadrocopters Play James Bond Theme (Video)

Students from the Penn’s School pf Engineering and Applied Science have been playing around with some quadrocopters, and their latest video is one of the coolest to date.

In the video below, you will see a swarm of quadrocopters playing the James Bond theme on real instruments, with the tiny robots landing on organ keys, beating a drum and more to play the theme tune.

CyanoBoot Alpha Nook Tablet Bootloader Unveiled

A new CyanoBoot bootloader has been unveiled this week for the Nook Tablet which has been designed by developer and hacker Fattire. Now that the Nook locked boot loader on the Barnes & Noble device has been circumvented.

The new CyanoBoot has been created to be used with the forthcoming CyanogenMod 9, but it can also be used to boot CM7 or Ubuntu Linux or even the stock firmware if required.

Raspberry PI $35 Computer Sells Out In Less Than 24 Hours

Yesterday the Raspberry PI $35 computer went on sale, even after an hour of the device going up for pre-order one of the companies selling the device on behalf of the Raspberry PI Foundation had sold out of their pre-order stock.

Now it looks like the second company has sold out of its pre-order stock, as Raspberry PI announced on Twitter that all their pre-order stock was gone as well.

Samsung’s Flexible OLED Display On Target For Mass Production

Blizzard Lays Off 600 People, Mostly Non-Development Personnel

World of Warcraft developer Blizzard has announced massive lay-offs, letting about 600 people go. The company says this is the result of shifting “resources” and “overstaffing”. 90%  of departing staff is said to be non-development personnel and the World of Warcraft team seems to have remained unaffected.
