The GeChic On-Lap 1302 is one of those gadgets that looks like it would be annoying and cool at the same time. It would be cool if you really need a larger second screen. Tablet or notebook to be able to get one, but it would be annoying having to deal with a 13.3-inch screen on the go. The screen needs cables and adapters to connect to your smartphone or other device.

FAA Eyes Freeing up Gadget Restrictions on Flights

Other than irritating flight attendants and pilots, I’ve never understood what reasons airlines and the FAA have for banning the use of gadgets like tablets or other devices during taxiing and take off. The aircrew always tells you put away your gadgets until the plane is at flight altitude, which is annoying when the chances of anything on the market today interfere with avionics is slim.

Queen 40th Anniversary Box Set Includes All Digital Tracks

I’m not exactly a fan of the band Queen, though there are a few songs that I like the band performs. AT&T Announces Record iPad Sales And Activations

Earlier today we heard from Apple’s CEO Tim Cook that Apple had a record weekend with the launch of the new iPad, and now US mobile carrier AT&T has also announced record sales of Apple’s new tablet.

Just like the apple announcement, AT&T didn’t go into any specific numbers on how many devices were sold instead they said that on launch day, last Friday they had record sales and activations.

Fourth Dimension Unveils New 1 Inch 2048 x 1536 Display

One buzz around Apple’s new iPad 3 tablet is its new 2048 x 1536 display. But Fourth Dimension has this week revealed a new 1 inch size display they have been developing which is crammed with a HD 2048 x 1536 resolution as well.

Up until recently Fourth Dimension had only developed 720p and 1080p resolution displays at this size. However Ars Technica is now reporting that Fourth Dimension has revealed a new 1 inch 2048 x 1536 display.

Which during Apple’s new iPad unveiling was shown to provide four times the performance of the Tegra 3 chip. But Apple didn’t show any benchmark details to substantiate this claim.

Nokia Lumia 900 Up For Pre-order In Canada

The last thing we heard about the Nokia Lumia 900 was that the device would be available in the US with AT&T from the 8th of April, and now the handset has gone up for pre-order in Canada.

Canadian carrier Rogers are now offering the Nokia Lumia 900 to pre-order on a three year contract for $99.99 up front, according to the guys over at Nokiapoweruser.

Samsung Galaxy S II Android 4.0 Source Code Released

Samsung started rolling out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for their Galaxy S II smartphone at the end of last week, to some countries, with other countries expected to get the update this week.

Apple Has ‘Record Weekend’ With New iPad 3

Apple launched the new iPad 3 last Friday, and whilst we don’t as yet have any actual sales figures for the device in its first weekend, it looks like Apple sold more of the new iPad in the first weekend than it did with the iPad 2 launch last year.

Apple’s CEO Tim Cook revealed that Apple had a ‘record weekend’ with the launch of the new iPad 3 last weekend, although he did not reveal exactly how many of the new iPads Apple had sold.

HTC One X Headed To Sprint June 10th?

We have previously heard a rumor that the new HTC One X would be headed to US mobile carrier Sprint, and now according to the guys over at S4GRU, the device could land on Sprint on the 10th of June.

CyanogenMod 7.2 Release Candidate Now Available

We have been hearing rumors for a while that Samsung’s new flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S III would come with a quad core processor, and now it would appear that this has been confirmed by Samsung.

It looks like Panasonic are about to unveil their latest Micro Four Thirds camera, as the guys from 43 Rumors have got their hands on a photo of the new Panasonic Lumix GF5.

The device is rumored to come with a new 12 megapixel sensor which features improved SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio), and the device will have an ISO range up to 12,800 and also a super fast auto-focus.

Linux 3.3 Kernel Released With Merged Android Support

A new version of the Linux Kernel has been released by Linus Torvalds this week which brings with it a fix for the occasionally caused system interruptions when writing to slow storage devices. Together with a multitude of new features and tweaks.

Another major difference in the Linux Kernel 3.3 release is that its now also been merged with Android Project. The merger comes after many years of disagreement between developers from both Linux and Android Projects.

New Apple TV 3 Gets Taken Apart

Apple’s third generation set top box, the Apple TV 3 went on sale last week, and one forum member for XBMC.org, decided to take the new Apple TV apart.

Instapaper 4.1 Update Brings Retina Support, Full Screen Mode And More
