Space Shuttle Endeavor Flight Deck Has Eleventy Billion Buttons

Some new pictures of the now retired space shuttle Endeavor’s flight deck have surfaced showing how many buttons and toggles the spacecraft actually has. If you’re looking at all the buttons and thinking, by golly I’d like to push them all, you aren’t alone. Apparently, there were so many buttons that mission control what the point the astronauts to some little used controls when needed.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, Co-op Shade Survival Mode Trailer (video)

Today Naughty Dog community strategist Eric Monacelli announced that the new Uncharted 3 PS3 exclusive game will be receiving a co-op Shade Survival mode downloadable content next week.

Microsoft Launches Its Robotics Development Toolkit For Kinect (video)

Microsoft has today launched its Robotics Developer Kinect Toolkit for commercial use. Allowing robot builders to now integrate Mircosofts Kinect motion sensor into their builds.

The new Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio 4 software can also be used to create “virtual bots” without the need to have any hardware to create your perfect robot. Watch the video after the jump to see the Kinect toolkit in action.

I Am Alive iOS Companion App Now Available To Download

The new free companion application for the I Am Alive game has just landed int he Apple iTunes app store, and is supported by the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Currently there is no information as to whether a similar application will be arriving on Android devices.

The I Am Alive companion app contains a number of maps together with exclusive hints from the games developers, to help you along the way in the main game. The main I Am Alive game will be arriving on Xbox Live tomorrow.

OpenStreetMap Claims Apple’s iPhoto For iPad Uses Their Data

Along with the new iPad 3, Apple also announced iPhoto for the iPad and iOS devices, which features new mapping data which doesn’t come from Google.

When iPhoto was announced, everyone, myself included thought that the mapping data in iPhoto was provided by Apple’s own in house mapping solution, but now the OpenStreetMap is claiming that Apple is using their data for iPhoto

Some HTC Sensation Devices Receiving Android 4.0 Update In Europe?

According to a recent thread over at the XDA developers some owners of certain HTC Sensation devices have started to receive the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update in Europe.

It seems that owners of the original HTC Sensation in some Nordic countries, and there also reports of the HTC Sensation XE getting the Android 4.0.3 update over in Germany.

CM9 Alpha For the Nook Tablet Officially Released (video)

Today CM9 Alpha has been officially released for the Nook Color, by XDA Developers. The CyanogenMod 9 alpha 0 still has a few things to be corrected such as the microphone, hw composition, hw video decoding (basically all TI ducati features are not working), Bluetooth and FM radio. Apple Starting To Sell Out Of 4G iPads

Apple’s iPad 3 which comes with 4G LTE only went up for pre-order yesterday, and in less than twenty four hours it looks like some 4G LTE models of the iPad are already starting to sell out for launch date.

The guys over at the BGR noticed that some models of the 4G LTE iPad for AT&T have now had their shipping date change from the 16th of March, which is the official launch date of the iPad 3 to the 19th of March.

Google’s Chrome Hacked During Pwnium Competition

Feeling pretty confident after successfully succeeding to fend off attack in the previous three years during the annual Pwn2Own competitions. Last week Google offered a million dollars in rewards for anyone that could successfully breach their browsers security.

Google this year setup its own hacking competition called Pwnium and set up top prizes of $60,000. With that sort of incentive it didn’t take long for aSergey Glazunov, a Russian university student, to walked away with a prize after successfully hacking Chrome.

Apple To Ditch Google For Its Own Mapping Service?

We have heard rumors in the past that Apple were working on their own mapping service to replace Google Maps, yesterday Apple released iPhoto which comes with mapping features built in, although the mapping features are not coming from Google Maps.

Netflix HD Headed To New Apple TV, Integrated iTunes Billing

Netflix has announced that their TV and video streaming service will now be available in full high definition at 1080p on the new Apple TV 3 and you will now also be able to sign up to the service directly through your iTunes account.

Quantic Dream Project Kara (video)

iOS 5.1 Tethered Jailbreak Released For A4 Devices

Yesterday Apple released the latest version of its mobile OS, iOS 5.1 and it looks like the iPhone Dev Team have already released a jailbreak for A4 based devices, which include the iPhone 4 and the iPad.

According to the guys over at Redmond Pie iOS 5.1 can be jailbroken on the iPhone 4, the iPad, and the iPod Touch, the jailbreak is a tethered one, which means it has to be connect to your PC or Mac each time you boot the device.

LG Lucid For Verizon Leaked

The other day we heard about a new smartphone headed to Verizon Wireless, the LG Lucid, and now we have some photos of the device along with some more information.

Amazon Launching Two New Tablets In 2012

Amazon is expected to launch two new tablets in the second half of 2012 and move away from the eBook readers of old concentrating more on tablets, reports the Digi Times website today.

According to the report on the website, Amazon is planning to launch both a 7 inch and 10 inch tablet in 2012. Which has been prompted by the strong sales of its Kindle Fire tablet, of which Amazon has sold 3.98 million.

US Smartphone Subscribers Hits 100 Million, Android Makes Up Nearly Half

Comscore has just released a new report for smartphone popularity in the US, and according to the report there are now more than 100 million smartphone subscribers in the US.

Infinity Blade: Dungeons iOS App Trailer Unveiled (video)

With the arrival of the new iPad yesterday, Epic has wasted no time rolling out the next version of their Infinity Blade franchise, in the form of Infinity Blade: Dungeons.

The new Infinity Blade: Dungeons  game will make the most of the new quad-core graphics of Apple’s new iPad provided by the tablets new dual core A5X processor, and the tablet new retina display. Watch the video after the jump to see Infinity Blade: Dungeons in action.

iPad 3 4G LTE Price Plans Revealed

Yesterday Apple announced the new iPad 3, which is Apple’s first tablet that is compatible with 4G LTE in the US, and it will be available with data plans from Verizon Wireless and AT&T in the US.

We now have some details on the 4G LTE data plans that will be available with both carriers, which you can see below, AT&T’s entry level plan will give you 250MB of data per month for $14.99, whilst Verizon’s entry level plan gives you 1GB of data for a monthly fee of $20.

Apple’s iMovie And Garage Band Get Major Updates

As well as announcing iPhoto for the iPhone and iPad, Apple also released some major updates for its other iLife applications which include iMovie and GarageBand.

Apple iMovie now works with HD video on your iPhone and iPad, and it comes with a new Theater view that lets you preview and choose from a total of nine different templates, and you can now stream your movies that you have created to an Apple TV in a resolution up to 1080p.

Apple Announces iPhoto For iPad

Along with the launch of the new iPad 3, Apple also announced some new applications, one of those is iPhoto, which will work on the iPhone 4 and 4S as well as the iPad 2 and the new iPad 3.

iPhoto will let you edit your photos directly on your iPad, and it comes with a range of built in features that will let you edit your photos colors, exposure etc, and you can crop and straighten images just like in iPhoto on the Mac.

Apple TV 2 Software Update Adds New Apple TV UI

Yesterday Apple announced that they were launching a new Apple TV, the Apple TV 3, which would come with a new user interface, it looks like the new user interface is also available on the existing Apple TV 2.

Apple also released a software update for the existing second generation Apple TV, and the update brings the new user interface to the device, which you can see in the photo below.

iPad 3 vs iPad 2, Specifications Compared

Apple has just announced their third generation iPad, the iPad 3 which they simply call the ‘New iPad’, and the iPad 3comes with a range of new specifications over the iPad 2, which include a new high resolution display which features a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, plus it now comes with 4G LTE.

The iPad HD also comes with a more powerful processor than the iPad 2, it now features an A5x processor with quad core graphics, and it also features a new iSight 5 megapixel backside illuminated camera which is capable of recording full high definition video in 1080p.
