This is a smart move for Apple, as they will now be able to offer two different tablets at two different price points, and by dropping the price of the iPad 2 by $100 to $399 they will make their iPad range more accessible. | Apple’s iOS 5.1 Golden Master Testing Complete, Launch Imminent? Posted: 07 Mar 2012 03:29 AM PST Apple are expected to release iOS 5.1 with the launch of the new iPad HD and the Apple TV 3, and now according to Chronic Wire, the Gold Master of iOS 5.1 has finished testing and is ready to be released to the public. The Gold Master build of iOS 5.1 is the final build before the public release of iOS 5.1, and we suspect it could be available some time next week as the iPad HD or iPad 3 is rumored to go on sale next week.

| UK Mobile Provider Three Abolishes Out Of Bundle Data Charges Posted: 07 Mar 2012 02:01 AM PST UK mobile provide Three has announced that they are getting rid of out of bundle data charges, which is good news for their customers and smartphone users. Previously if you went over you monthly data limit, you would be charged more for any data you used over you allowance, and this has in the past been standard across the mobile industry here in the UK with the exception of T-Mobile, but this could change as Three is one of the first companies to remove the excessive charges.

Now according to a new report, Apple may be seeking to end the legal battles with various Android handset makers, by offering the companies a deal which could see Apple receiving up to $15 for each Android device sold.

| Apple TV 3 To Be Announced Today, Will Retail For $99 Posted: 07 Mar 2012 12:41 AM PST We have been hearing rumors over the past few weeks that Apple are about to launch a new Apple TV, the Apple TV 3, the device was first discovered months ago with the J33 reference number. Now the guys from 9 to 5 Mac have discovered that the Apple TV with the J33 reference number will retail for $99, which is the same price as the existing Apple TV, although the existing model now appears to be sold out in almost all of Apple’s retail stores.

| Google’s Android Market Renamed Google Play (Video) Posted: 06 Mar 2012 11:28 PM PST Last week we heard about a number of different domains that had been purchased by Google, the domains were all related to Google Play, and there was speculation that this would be the name of Google’s first tablet. Google has now announced Google Play and it is the new name for their Android Market, and Google describes Google Play as an ‘integrated destination for apps, books, movies, and music, accessible to users on Android devices and to anyone on the Web’.
