Posted: 28 Dec 2011 04:01 AM PST The guys over at WMPoweruser have got their hands on what is reported to be a leaked roadmap for Microsoft’s Windows Phone, and it gives us an idea of what is headed to Windows Phone in 2012. According to the roadmap, which you can see below, we will see Windows Phone Tango launching in quarter 2 of 2012 and Windows Phone Appollo launching in quarter 4 of 2012. Quad Core Meizu MX Coming Next Year? We previously heard that Meizu will launch a quad core version of the handset, and it would appear that the quad core Meizu MX will feature Samsung’s new quad core Exynos 4412 processor. Sharp Aquos IS14SH Android Smartphone Announced In Japan Posted: 28 Dec 2011 01:50 AM PST Sharp has launched their latest Android smartphone in Japan, the Sharp Aquos IS14SH, which comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and the device features a 3.7 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. The Sharp Aquos IS14SH also comes with a slide out numeric keypad, plus an 8 megapixel camera and 4GB of built in storage, there are no details on what processor it is running. LCD Makers Pay $538 Million In Price Fixing Case Posted: 28 Dec 2011 01:42 AM PST A number of LCD manufacturers have been accused of price fixing on LCD panels, the companies include Samsung, Hitachi, Sharp, Epson Imaging Devices and more. It looks like the companies in the case have decided to settle, and they will pay out a total of $538 million to settle the allegations that they have fixed the prices of LCD panels over a period of eight years. Airtight Brings AirPlay To Google TV Posted: 28 Dec 2011 01:35 AM PST AirTight is a new app for Google TV, and according to the developers it is the first app that brings support for Apple’s AirPlay to Google TV devices, allowing you to stream non DRM content to your Google TV. The app will let you stream content from your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to your Google TV device, although there are a couple of features which aren’t supported at the moment, including music and mirroring. Apple’s iPhone 4S Headed To China In January? Google Activates 3.7 Million Android Devices Over Christmas Posted: 28 Dec 2011 01:05 AM PST Google’s Andy Rubin has announced that the company has activated over 3.7 million Android devices over Christmas, which include Christmas Eve and Christmas day. That works out at around 1.85 million Android devices activated per day, which is quite an increase over the normal 700,000 devices that are normally activated every day. Apple Planning New iPhone Design For Fall Of 2012? Posted: 28 Dec 2011 12:23 AM PST According to a recent report by the BGR, Apple is planning to release a completely re-designed iPhone in 2012, and we won’t see the device around June or July of 2012, instead we will have to wait until the Fall of 2012. Apple launched the iPhone 4S in October 2011, so it would make sense for them to launch the new iPhone around the same time in 2012, I could be wrong on this but i would put money on it being called the iPhone 5. Google Plus Hits 62 Million Users? Posted: 28 Dec 2011 12:05 AM PST It would appear that Google’s attempt at a social network, Google+ is becoming more popular, according to Paul Allen, who has been releasing estimates ever since the service launched, Google+ has now reached over 62 million users. This figure is up from 43 million users in December, and if it continues to grow at this rate, Google+ would reach the 100 million user mark by around February or March of 2012.
