Its now looking to switch from Flash to HTML 5 for its video playback, and formally adopted the HTML5 standard for videos on the regular and mobile versions of its news website. | iMAME Game Emulator Lands In Apple’s App Store Posted: 22 Dec 2011 01:49 AM PST A new game emulator has landed in Apple’s app store, called iMAME, the emulator comes with a number of games, which include games like Circus, Side Track,and Hard Hat, and you can apparently load other games onto the emulator. It is possible that Apple could pull the iMAME game emulator form the app store at any time as it has done with previous game emulators, and the app is available for free.

| Motorola Droid 4 Launch Postponed To February? Posted: 22 Dec 2011 01:09 AM PST We recently heard a rumor that the Motorola Droid 4 would land on Verizon Wireless today, the 22nd of December, although it would appear that the launch date has now been moved to February. According to the guys over at VZBuzz, who have managed to get their hands on a reported internal Verizon document, the Motorola Droid 4 will go on sale in the US on the 2nd of February 2012.

| Nokia Lumia 800 Appears At The FCC Posted: 21 Dec 2011 11:56 PM PST Nokia recently announced their first Windows Phone smartphone for the US, the Nokia Lumia 710, and they are expected to unveil a number of Windows Phone handsets at CES 2012 in January, which may include the rumored Nokia Lumia 900. The Nokia Lumia 800 launched in Europe last month, and Nokia hasn’t yet provided any details on when the device will launch in the US, but now it would appear that Nokia will launch the Lumia 800 in the US shortly, probably at CES in January.

| Symbian Becomes Nokia Belle, Headed To Symbian Devices February 2012 Posted: 21 Dec 2011 11:30 PM PST It looks like Nokia has decided to change the name of its Symbian OS, with the new version which was previous called Symbian Belle, now being called Nokia Belle, and Nokia has announced that the latest version of the software is headed to Symbian devices soon. Nokia has announced that it will release the new version of Nokia Belle to a range of devices in February 2012, and the list includes the Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia E6, Nokia X7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia Oro and the Nokia C7.

| Posted: 21 Dec 2011 11:17 PM PST AMD has announced their latest GPU, the AMD Radeon 7970, which is the worlds first graphics card to use the new 28nm transistors, and it comes with a massive 3GB of RAM, and it comes with support for Direct X 11.1. The AMD 7970 features up to 32 internal computing units, and is the first graphics cards to use PCE-E Gen 3, and it can support up to a total of six monitors at the same time.

| Sony Ericsson Xperia LT28at For AT&T Leaked Posted: 21 Dec 2011 10:58 PM PST It looks like Sony Ericsson has a new Xperia smartphone planned for US mobile carrier AT&T, the Sony Ericsson Xperia LT28at, which has been revealed via the Bluetooth SIG. This could possibly be AT&T’s version of the Xperia Arc HD that we heard about recently and the device is expected to come with a4.55 inch HD touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

| Hasbro Sues Asus Over Transformer Prime Name Posted: 21 Dec 2011 10:43 PM PST It looks like toy maker Hasbro isn’t happy with the name of the latest Android tablet from Asus, the Transformer Prime, and now Hasbro has decided to sue Asus in the US for using the Transformer Prime name. Hasbro released a statement,which you can see below, and the company obviously thinks that the name is too similar to Optimus Prime, who is the most famous character from the Transformer toys and movies.

| Sony Ericsson Xperia Handsets Getting Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich March 2012 Posted: 21 Dec 2011 09:56 PM PST Last week Sony Ericsson showed us a video of an early build of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich running on one of their Xperia smartphones, and now they have confirmed when the first Android 4.0 update will land on Xperia devices. Sony Ericsson will start rolling out the Ice Cream Sandwich update to various Xperia devices at the end of March 2012 and the start of April 2012, and we have some details on which devices will get the update.

| Microsoft And CES Part Ways, No More Keynote’s After 2012 Posted: 21 Dec 2011 09:39 PM PST Microsoft has been delivering the keynote speech at CES for the past 14 years, and it would appear that CES 2012 will be the last year that Microsoft does the keynote at the conference. Microsoft has announced on their blog that 2012 will be the final CES keynote for them, and the company will also not have a booth at CES after this date, and Microsoft has said that they are pulling out because their product releases don’t tie in with CES’s January dates.
