Spotify For BlackBerry Comes Out Of Beta

Spotify has announced that is BlackBerry app is now out of beta and available for all compatible BlackBerry devices, which include the BlackBerry Bold 9780, Bold 9700, Curve 9300, Bold 9000, Curve 8520, and the app only supports devices running on GSM networks.

Lovefilm Seals Sony Pictures Television Deal

Details have been released today, confirming that the Amazon company Lovefilm has now sealed a deal with Sony Pictures. The deal is a major multi-year content deal giving Lovefilm members exclusive streaming access to new and forthcoming Sony Pictures titles during the second subscription pay TV window, as well as catalogue titles and TV series, from June 2012 .

Lovefilm members will now be able to enjoy streaming Sony Pictures titles such as The Social Network, Salt, and 2012 as part of their existing subscription, at no extra cost.

Xbox Dashboard Receives Support For Vudu, DailyMotion, UFC And More

Xbox 360 owners who have upgraded to the new Xbox Dashboard which Microsoft has recently rolled out to their gaming console. Might be pleased to know that more media support has now been added in the form of Vudu’s Video on Demand service. Which enables its Vudu users to use Kinect voice and body commands to search for programs and perform DVR functions.

As well as Dailymotion, UFC, 4 on Demand, ABC iView, Demand 5, M6 and MSN Video which have all now been added to the Microsoft Xbox 360 Dashboard.

Firefox 9 For Android Launched (Video)

Yesterday Mozilla launched Firefox 9 and now they have released a new version for Google’s mobile devices, Firefox 9 for Android which comes with a range of new features for Android tablets and smartphones.

Myraid Alien Vue Brings Android Apps To Your HDTV (video)

Myriad has this week unveiled a new customisable OEM platform which has been designed to enable TV and set top box manufactures to add Android Apps to their existing products.

The Myriad Alien Vue allows app designed for Google TV and HTML5 to be added to non-Android devices which can include iOs and MeeGo. Myriad will be showcasing Alien Vue, demonstrating Android apps on TV for the first time at CES 2012 January 10-13. Google Puts Nexus S Android Ice Cream Sandwich Update On Hold

We recently heard that Google had started rolling out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Google Nexus S, although it would appear that the update has now been paused.

According to a recent report, Google has paused the update for the Nexus S after a number of users reported battery issues on the device after receiving the update, although this has yet to be confirmed by Google.

Super Talent Storage Pod Mini USB 3.0 SSD Announced

Super Talent has announced another portable storage solution, the Super Talent Storage Pod, which is a mini portable solid state drive, with a USB 3.0 connection.

The Storage Pod features a SandForce SSD processor and it comes with speeds of up to 260MB/s, and it features an anodized aluminum casing and it is about the same size as a 2.5 inch drive.

DenGyo Rectenna Creates Energy From Unused Microwaves

Dengyo has unveiled a new device they have created to harvest microwave oven or industrial microwave heating machine electromagnetic energy which is discarded during the heating process and normally wasted. Once harvested by the little box the microwaves are then converted into energy.

The small device is capable of recovering up to 100 watts of power, if its located within a microwave. Around 10% of the energy used to power a normal microwave oven.

Motorola Droid 4 Coming December 22nd?

It looks like Verizon and Motorola’s latest Android smartphone, the Droid 4 will launch this month, according to the guys over at Droid Life, the Motorola Droid 4 is expected to go on sale tomorrow, the 22nd of December.

The Droid 4 will come with a 4 inch qHD touchscreen display and it is powered by a dual core 1.2GHz processor and also comes with 1GB of RAM, plus Android Gingerbread.

Windows Phone Tango To Debut At CES 2012?

It looks like Microsoft will be showing off the latest version of their smartphone OS, Windows Phone Tango, at CES 2012 in January, which would tie in with Nokia’s recent announcement that they are holding a Windows Phone event at CES.

Windows Phone Tango is expected to bring a range of new features to Windows Phone devices, which include support for LTE, and also support for smaller devices with smaller displays.

Asus ET2700 All-in-one 10 Finger Multitouch PC Launched

Asus has this week launched their new Asus ET2700 all-in-one PC system, that was first unveiled back in CeBIT in March. The new Asus ET2700 is different to most all-in-one PCs as its display supports 10 finger multitouch control.

The Asus ET2700 is powered by a choice of Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 CPUs, supported by 4-8 GB of DDR3 memory @ 1333 MHz, to suit your budget. Graphics for the system will be provided by Intel HD Graphics, but it doesn’t look as though there will be any ATi or Nvidia options to choose from.

theKube2, Unveiled As Worlds Smallest Touch MP3 Player

A new MP3 player named theKube2 has been unveiled this week which is being marketed as being the worlds smallest touch MP3 player by its creators Bluetree Electronics.

LG Prada 3.0 Top Hit The UK In February

LG and Prada recently announced their latest Android smartphone, the LG Prada 3.0, and now it looks like this new Android handset will be available in the UK in February of 2012.

UK mobile retailer the Carphone Warehouse has the LG Prada 3.0 listed on their website with a February launch date, although we still don’t have any information on pricing as yet.

LightPad Projector Transforms Your Smartphone Into A Laptop (video)

A new device has been unveiled this week by QP Optoelectronics, called the LightPad projector, which has been designed to transform your smartphone into a laptop. The LightPad is made up of a pico projector and full-sized QWERTY keyboard and an 11 inch screen.

Simply connect your smartphone to the device and use the LightPad rear projection screen to view your apps and games. Currently the LightPad can handle 854 x 480 pixel display resolutions. But QP Optoelectronics is hoping to increase this in future models allowing it to handle 720p video. Watch the video after the jump to see it in action.

LG’s Magic Remote Brings Voice Control To Its Smart TVs

Acer Iconia Tab A200 To Retail For $399

Mozilla And Google Sign New Deal For Firefox Search

We heard a while ago that the deal between Mozilla and Google had come to an end, and now Mozilla has announced that they have signed a new deal and Google will continue to be the default search engine on Firefox.

The two companies have signed a new three year deal, which is good new for Mozilla, as the income from Google is reported to make up a high percentage of Mozilla’s revenue.

Google Activating 700,000 Android Devices Every Day

The last time we had some figures from Google, the company said they were activating more than 550,000 Android devices per day, and now Google’s Andy Rubin has released some new details.

According to Andy Rubin, Google are now activating more than 700,000 Android devices per day, which works out at around 22 million Android devices activated per month.

Too celebrity oriented, weighed down by treacly wholesomeness, with prominent guests from other fields merely skirting the heart of serious issues. Not to be unnecessarily harsh, but the subtle art of the one-on-one intie has gone downhill since Frost/Nixon. Archos 70b Tablet Gets Official for $199

The Archos 70b tablet was spied getting some of the approvals it needs not too long ago. Today the tablet has gone official with the tablet getting the full unveil. It runs Android 3.2 Honeycomb for the operating system. The tablet is a 7-inch screen and replaces the old Archos 70.
