Kinect Grocery Cart Could Soon Prowl a Whole Foods Near You

Whole Foods has commissioned a very cool and high-tech shopping cart that could soon prowl the aisles of the store. The card uses a Microsoft Kinect for Windows sensor mounted near where you would place your hands to push the cart. That sensor would be able to recognize a shopper’s loyalty card and follow them around the store with no input from the shopper.

OCZ Debuts 1000W Fatal1ty PSU for PC Gamers

The company made its name with computer memory early on and then later stopped making computer memory and moved into power supplies and SSD’s where it found its place. Apple iPad 3 Event Confirmed For March 7th In San Francisco

We have been hearing rumors that Apple would announce the date of their iPad 3 event for next Wednesday, the 7th of Marc, it is now official and Apple has sent out invites to the event.

As in previous years Apple’s iPad 3 launch event will take place in the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco at 10AM PST, on Wednesday, March 7th.

Apple TV 3 Coming In March With iPad 3?

We recently heard that we may be getting closer to the launch of the new Apple TV 3, as stock of the existing Apple TV seems to be low at a number of retailers with some of them sold out.

Now according to a recent report from the guys at 9 to 5 Mac, the new Apple TV 3 will be announced alongside the iPad 3, which is expected to be unveiled early next month, and we have previously heard that Apple may hold a special event on the 7th of March.

Mercedes To Integrate Apple’s Siri into Future Cars

Mercedes Benz has announced that they plan to integrate Apple’s Siri into their new Drive Kit Plus program in some of their upcoming vehicles, the system is being upgraded to support Apple’s iPhone 4S and also Siri.

The new system will allow users to navigate through their iTunes library in the A-Class with a controller in the armrest and also with voice spoken commands using Siri on the iPhone 4S.

LG Optimus 4X HD Hits The UK In June For £456

LG recently announced their first quad core Android smartphone, the LG Optimus 4X HD and now we have some more details on when  it will be available in the UK along with some pricing.

The guys over at Clove just dropped us an email to let us know that the LG Optimus 4X HD will be available in the UK from June and the handset will retail for £456 including taxes SIM free.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 Lands On Verizon March 1st

Back in December of last year we heard that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 would be headed to Verizon in the US, and now Verizon has announced that they will offer the Galaxy Tab 7.7 on their network from the 1st of March.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7  will be available for $499.99 on a new two year contract with Verizon, or you can purchase it without the contract although this is going to set you back $699.99.

Sennheiser Unveils MM 550 And MM 450 Headphones

Sennheiser has this week unveiled two new headphone sets at the Mobile World Congress 2012 show, the Sennheiser MM 550 and MM 450-X. Both headphones are equipped with Sennheiser’s Apt-X file compression technology, which now compresses audio four times faster than on previous version of the headphones.

As well as the Apt-X both headphones are also equipped with NoiseGard 2.0 technology, which has been designed and added by Sennheiser to cancel up to 90% of surrounding background noise whilst in use.

Google Offers $1 Million To Hack Its Chrome Browser

Google has today announced that it’s putting up a bounty of $1 Million for anyone who can hack its Chrome browser and pinpointing vulnerabilities within it.

The competition called Pwnium will take place at this years CanSecWest security conference on March 7th. With prices totalling a million dollars, with prizes for $60,000, $40,000 and $20,000, for finding vulnerabilities in Chrome.

Chrome Update Now Opens Email Links Directly In Gmail

Microsoft Demos Holoflector Augmented Reality Mirror ( Video)

Microsoft has shown off a new augmented reality mirror, which the company calls the Holoflector, and it is basically a large translucent mirror which has an LCD panel about three feet behind the mirror.

The Holoflector is capable of displaying computer graphics on people and around them in real time, have a look at the video of it in action below.

Google Exec Hints Android 5 Jelly Bean Launching, Fall 2012

ZTE PF112 Android 4.0 HD Smartphone Announced

ZTE has added another Android smartphone to their range with the launch of the ZTE PF112, which comes with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The ZTE PF112 features a 4.5 inch HD touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and it also comes with dual cameras.

Sony Unveils TX66 Ultra Compact Camera, Rugged TX20 And More

Sony has today revealed a number of new additions to its range of compact cameras unveiling the new rugged TX20 as well as the ultra compact TX66. Together with the larger Sony WX150 and W690, both equipped with a 10x zoom.

Asus Release Promo Video For Asus Padfone

Yesterday we finally got to find out the specifications on the new Asus Padfone, which is a hybrid smartphone and tablet device that also comes with a keyboard dock, and now Asus has released a promo video for the device.

The video below shows how the Asus Padfone will work, with the tablet dock and also with the keyboard dock, which looks very similar to the keyboard dock on the Transformer Prime tablet.

Guiding Light System Makes Brings Gaming Navigation To Life (video)

MIT Media Lab Research Assistant Jaewoo Chung has brought the navigation system from the game Dead Space to life. Recreating the in-game navigation system using projected arrows and magnetic positioning.

The new system called Guiding Light combines a smartphone with a mini-projector and magnetic positioning, and projects arrows on the floor in a similar in fashion to the video game, guiding users to their destination. Watch the video after the jump to see the Guiding Light system in action.

Proview Attempts To Take Worldwide Rights To iPad Name From Apple

We have been hearing quite a bit about the case between Proview and Apple over the iPad trademark in China over the last few weeks, and now Proview is attempting to take the worldwide rights for the iPad name from Apple.

Proview sold the rights to the iPad name to a company called  IP Application Development Limited,or IPAD which was basically a shell company used by Apple and their agents to purchase the trademark.

Nokia 808 PureView Smartphone 41 Megapixel Camera Sample Images Released

Canon EOS 1DX Will Arrive In April For $6,800

Canon has this week announced that their new Canon EOS-1DX will be arriving in stores at the end of April. Followed shortly after by the EF 500mm F/4L IS II USM and EF 600mm F/4L IS II USM which will be arriving in May 2012.

The new Canon EOS-1DX is currently Canon’s most advanced EOS camera and was first revealed back in October 2011, and has been created to replace the existing EOS-1D MK IV and EOS-1Ds MKIII.

Samsung Galaxy S III To Come With 1080P Display, Quad Core Processor?

Yesterday we heard a rumor that the new Samsung Galaxy S III would feature a 4.8 inch display, and now it would appear we have some more details on Samsung’s next flagship Android smartphone.

According to a recent report by the BGR, the Samsung Galaxy S III’s 4.8 inch display will feature a full HD resolution of 1080p with a 16:9 aspect ratio, which would make the device one of the first smartphones to display full HD video content.

ZTE Announces Two Quad Core Android Tablets

Yesterday we had a new quad core smartphone from ZTE, the ZTE Era and now the company has unveiled two new Android tablets which are also powered by a quad core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor.

The two tablets are the ZTE T98 and The ZTE PF 100, and both devices are almost identical in specifications except for the screen sizes, the ZTE PF100 features a 10.1 inch display whilst the ZTE T98 features a 7 inch display.

HTC One X Hits The UK April The 5th

Yesterday we were told by a couple of UK retailers that the HTC One X would be available in the UK in April, and now it would appear that we may have a possible release date.

Amazon has listed the HTC One X one their UK website with a release date of the 5th of April, although they have the device up for pre-order for £530, which is about £30 more than other retailers in the UK.

BLU Studio 5.3 Android Smartphone Announced

US smartphone maker Blu has announced a new Android smartphone which they will be launching in Europe, the BLU Studio 5.3, which features a 5.3 inch display.

The BLU Studio 5.3 is designed to be a budget Android device, and it will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is powered by an 800MHz MediaTek MT6573T processor, and it can take two SIM cards.

Apple Launching Developer ID Certificate Scheme

Apple has this week started sending out emails to its Mac App Store Developers introducing a new Developer ID scheme its created. The new Developer ID scheme has been introduced for developers that don’t want to distribute their Mac applications on the Mac App Store, and provides them with a way to prove they are a trust source to Apple Mac owners looking to purchase their software.

Samsung Says They Are Not Doing Well In The Tablet Market

You very rarely hear a company saying that one of their products isn’t doing very well, that is what Samsung just did at this years Mobile World Congress.

FXI Cotton Candy Pocket Computer, Available To Pre-Order For $199 (video)

Any one who is interested in the new FXI Cotton Candy pocket sized PC, that wad first unveiled back in CES of January this year. Will be pleased to learn that the tiny form factor PC is now available to pre-order for $199. With shipping of the final devices expected to start sometime next month.

The FXI Cotton Candy PC is similar in size to a standard flash drive and is equipped with a USB connection on one end and a HDMI on the other. Watch the video after the jump to see it in action.

Windows Phone To Widen Reach

Unreal Engine 4 To Be Shown Off At GDC

If you’ve spent $60 on a PC or console game this year, there’s an excellent chance it was running Epic’s industry-defining Unreal 3 technology under the hood. It seems Epic’s “Samaritan” GDC demo from last year was only a preview of things to come.  And with Epic having gone on record stating the new generation of Unreal engine will need hardware ten times as powerful as the Xbox 360, this year’s showcase should push way beyond what we’ve already been shown.
