But after a few hours of use it now looks like the update is causing problems for a number of users. | Corning And Samsung Form New OLED Glass Partnership Posted: 02 Feb 2012 06:28 AM PST Corning is well know for producing the majority of glass that is found in our smartphones, Samsung uses it in many of its devices, as do a range of other manufacturers. Now Samsung and Corning are forming a joint venture where the two companies will manufacture special OLED glass substrates, which will be made up of Corning’s lotus Glass substrates and Samsung’s OLED displays.

| Google Fined $660,000 In France For Offering Google Maps For Free Posted: 02 Feb 2012 05:56 AM PST A court in France has fined Google a total of $660,000 for offering Google Maps for free in France, according to the court ruling Google is abusing its dominant position in mapping by offering Google Maps for free. A company called Bottin Cartographes filed a lawsuit against Google, the company produces a paid mapping service for businesses and has clients like Louis Vuitton, Airbus and more.

| Nokia Lumia 900 Goes Up For Pre-order At Microsoft Stores Posted: 02 Feb 2012 05:41 AM PST Nokia recently announced their first 4G LTE smartphone for the US, the Nokia Lumia 900, which is expected to go on sale in March, and now it would appear that Microsoft Stores have started taking pre-orders on the handset. We still don’t have an official launch date for the device, although the last thing we heard was the 18th of March, and the device can now be pre-orderd at Microsoft Stores for a $25 deposit, you will also have to sign a new two year contract with AT&T.

| Pentax K-01 Mirrorless Camera Officially Launched (video) Posted: 02 Feb 2012 05:29 AM PST Today Pentax has officially announced the new highly anticipated Pentax K-01 mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera. Which is equipped with the same K-mount lens mount used by Pentax’s DSLR lenses. The design for the new Pentax K-01 has been created by Australian industrial designer Marc Newson, featuring a rubberised, ribbed grip covering on an aluminium frame. The Pentax K-01 has been built around a 16-megapixel APS-C sensor, providing roughly 13 times the size of the 1/2.3-inch-type sensor found in the Pentax Q. ISO settings range from ISO 100 to ISO 25,600, and burst mode provides 6 frames per second capture at full resolution, and the camera will capture 1080p video at 24 fps, 25 fps, and 30 fps, as well as 720p video at 60 fps. | Samsung Ships 700,000 Galaxy Notes In South Korea Posted: 02 Feb 2012 05:27 AM PST Samsung will be making a big push on the new Galaxy Note in the US this weekend, as the company is showing off a special Galaxy Note advert during this Sunday’s Super Bowl. Samsung recently announced that they had sold over 1 million Galaxy Note devices around the world, and now the company has announced that they have sold over 1 million Galaxy Note smartphones in their home country of South Korea.

| Three UK Launches Web Cube 3G HSPA+ Broadband Alternative Posted: 02 Feb 2012 04:50 AM PST UK mobile carrier Three has just announced the Three Web Cube, which is basically a mobile alternative to broadband for your home, and the device is HSPA+ enabled. According to Three the Web Cube will offer typical download speeds of between 2Mbps to 5Mbps with a maximum speed in excess of 10 Mbps, and you can also connect up to five different devices to the web cube at once.

| HTC Confirms Some Of Its Android Handsets Are Leaking WiFi Passwords Posted: 02 Feb 2012 04:46 AM PST HTC has confirmed that a number of its mobile Android handsets may leak security credentials on Wi-Fi networks, and has now issued a fix to help correct the problem. The fix should automatically roll out to patch the issue, but HTC does states that some of its Android smartphones will require the user to manually load the fix on to their devices. HTC suggests that users should check its site for more details on how to perform the update. | HTC Sensation With Android 4.0 Launching In Europe March 1st Posted: 02 Feb 2012 04:34 AM PST The HTC Sensation has been available for some time, we reviewed the handset last year, and now HTC has announced that they will launch an ‘Ice White’ version of the HTC Sensation on the 1st of March in Europe. | Huawei Honor Appears At FCC, Headed To AT&T? Posted: 02 Feb 2012 03:40 AM PST The Huawei Honor was first announced on September of last year, we also got a look at the device in a hands on video, and now it appears that it could be headed to US mobile carrier AT&T. The Huawei Honor was recently spotted in an FCC filing, and the device was listed with AT&T’sn 3G and HSPA+ bands, so it is possible that the handset could be headed to AT&T.

The Vizio 21:9 CinemaWide LED HDTV will retail for $3,500 when it launches in March, and the device will let you watch widescreen movies without the need for the black bars that you get on standard HDTV’s.

| ADzero Bamboo Android Smartphone Announced Posted: 02 Feb 2012 02:07 AM PST A company called ADzero has developed a Bamboo Android smartphone, and the device is expected to launch later this year, the handset was developed by the company and a UK student at Middlesex University, Keiron Scott Woodhouse. The design started out as a concept, and it was then picked up by ADzero, who have developed it into an Android smartphone, and the device features a casing which is made from bamboo.

| Apple Releases OS X Lion 10.7.3 Update Posted: 02 Feb 2012 01:45 AM PST Apple has released a new update for its Mac OS X software, the latest version is OS X Lion 10.7.3 and the update comes with a range of improvements and bug fixes. The OS C Lion 10.7.3 update adds in support for a range of new languages, which include Catalan, Croatian, Greek, Hebrew, Romanian, Slovak, Thai, and Ukrainian, as well as a range of bug fixes.

| Motorola Droid 4 Coming To Verizon February 9th For $199? Posted: 02 Feb 2012 12:50 AM PST Verizon and Motorola announced the Droid 4 last month, and now it looks like we may have a possible launch date for the device, the 9th of February, which is next Thursday. According to a recent report the Motorola Droid 4 will be available on Verizon Wireless from February the 9th for $199 when you sign up to a new two year contract with the carrier, although this has yet to be officially confirmed by Verizon.

| iPad 3 To Feature Quad Core A6 Processor? Posted: 01 Feb 2012 11:14 PM PST We have been hearing rumors about the iPad 3 for the last few months, the device is reported to come with a new Apple A6 processor, and now it would appear we may actually have some information about the A6 processor. According to a recent report by the Boy Genius Report, Apple’s iPad 3 will feature a quad core A6 processor, as they have apparently obtained some information on the hardware in an iPad 3 prototype.
