Final Fantasy 8 Mini Game Ported to Android

Netflix Brings Back Postal DVD Only Rental Plan

Recently Netflix has been trying to distance itself from its postal DVD rental service, and even created a new service called Qwikster, to separate the two sides of the business, splitting the streaming and DVD rentals into two separate services, but only caused uproar and confusion amongst its customers.

Sony Announces Cross-Play Options For PS3 And PS Vita

Today Sony has announced details of its new cross-play offers that will enable gamers to play their games on both their PS3 and PS Vita gaming console for no additional cost.

The new Sony cross-play features will work with the new PS Vita launch games such as MotorStorm RC, Hustle Kings, Top Darts and WipEout 2048. Enabling you to play it on your new PS Vita console and PS3 without having to pay extra.

Motorola Atrix 3 Leaked?

It looks like we may have some specifications and a photo of the new Motorola Atrix 3, the device is reported to come with Android 4.0 Ice cream Sandwich and will apparently be powered by a quad core processor.

The processor in the Motorola Atrix 3 is reported to be an NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, and other specifications include a 4.3 inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

HTC One V Android Smartphone Coming At MWC 2012?

We have already heard that HTC will be launching the HTC One X and HTC One S at MWC 2012 later this month, and now according to the guys over at Pocket Lint, they will also be launching another new Android smartphone called the HTC One V.

According to the report, the HTC One V will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and will feature a 3.7 inch touchscreen display, unfortunately no details on the resolution as yet.

It has been designed to enable you to cleanse and microbiologically purify water using UV light technology in around 60 seconds.

Kindle Fire 2 Coming In May?

Amazon launched their first Android tablet near the end of last year in the US, the Amazon Kindle Fire, the device is still only available in the US, and now it would appear that the Kindle Fire 2 could launch as early as may.

The Kindle Fire has been an extremely popular device for Amazon, mainly due to its $199 price point, and now according to a recent report by the China Times, the device will start shipping in May.

Spark Linux Tablet Goes Up For Pre-order

Some of our readers will remember the Spark Linux tablet that was announced recently, the device is expected to retail for $265, and it is now available to pre-order.

Raspberry Pi To Run New BBC Micro 2 Software

This week the BBC has confirmed that it is in fact developing a new software currently referred to as BBC Micro 2 which which will be supported by the new $35 Raspberry Pi computer launching later this month.

Older computer users might well remember the first incarnation of BBC Micro computers that were created to help bring computing to UK schools back in the 1980′s. Now the BBC is looking to do a similar think in 2012 but without having to go down the route of creating its own hardware as before.

Acer Iconia Tab A510 Passes Through The FCC

The Acer Iconia Tab A510 will go on sale in Europe next month, and it looks like the tablet is getting closer to its US release as the device has just passed through the FCC.

As a reminder the Acer Iconia Tab A510 features a 10.1 inch multi-touch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, and the device is powered by a quad core 1.3GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor.

Grace Digital Mondo WiFi Media Player Finally Arrives

iOS 5.1 Pre-GM Screenshots Show Camera From Lockscreen And More

Some screenshots have been revealed which are reported to be for a pre-GM (Gold Master) build of Apple’s iOS 5.1, and the screenshots reveal some new features coming to Apple’s iOS devices in iOS 5.1.

The photo below shows the the camera on the iPhone is now accessible from the lock screen on your iPhone, and it also confirms support for new languages in iOS 5.1 for Apple’s Siri, which include Japanese.

Skype For Android Update Released

Skype has released a new version of Skype for Android, the latest version is Skype 2.7.0.907 for Android and it comes with a range of new features and add in video calling support for the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic Touch 4G.

Max Payne 3 Second Official Trailer Arrives (video)

Rockstar Games has released the second in its line of official trailers for their new Max Payne 3 game. Which is expected to launch in May 2012 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC gamers, but no specific date and price have yet been announced.

Mass Effect Razer DLC Gaming Pheripherals (video)

Swype Update Adds Support For Android 4.0

Swype announced earlier this month that they would be rolling out an update to Swype Beta for Android that would offer support for the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

More HTC One X Android Smartphone Details Leaked

Yesterday we heard that the rumored HTC Endeavor will be called the HTC One X and now it looks like we have some more information on the device including a range of specifications.

The HTC One X will apparently come with a quad core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and will feature on screen software buttons for navigation instead of hardware buttons.

LG Miracle Windows Phone Device Appears On Video

One of the new Windows Phone devices we are expecting to see at this year MWC later this month is the LG Miracle or LG Fantasy, and now we have another photo of the device along with a video of it in action.

The LG Miracle will come with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, and it will feature a 4 inch multi-touch touchscreen display, and is rumored to come with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor.

Nokia Lumia 800 Now Available In The US

The Nokia Lumia 800, which launched in Europe at the end of last year is now available in the US, although it is only available as a bundle deal and can only per purchased from Microsoft stores in the US.

There are only around 16 Microsoft stores in the US, which could mean it would be hard to get your hands on the device, unless you live near one of the stores.

Google Drive Screenshot Leaked?

It looks like Google could be getting closer to the release of their new cloud service, Google Drive, as some screenshots of the service have been leaked including one of a Google Drive logo which we have not seen before.

The images were sent into GeekWire by one of their readers, who found the service enabled in his Google account, which you can see in the photos below.

Apple Wins ‘Slide To Unlock’ Patent Case Against Motorola In Germany

Apple has won its first patent case against the now Google owned Motorola, the ruling by a German court could have a number of implications not just for Motorola but also for Google’s Android OS, and a number of Android device manufacturers.

Motorola has said they will appeal the decision, although in the interim they will have to change existing devices which infringe on the Apple patent in Germany.

Mass Effect 3 Copies Launched Into Space

Launching their very own SETI program is probably the one thing Bioware wasn’t doing these days with an MMO, RTS and now 3rd person shooter in the oven, but that oversight is now being addressed. Copies of Mass Effect 3 will reportedly be sent into space using weather balloons. Just to make this clear, Bioware is using the devices most commonly mistaken for alien spacecraft to launch a game about aliens destroying and/or having sex with humans towards the place where aliens would be if there were any. I’m pretty sure Bioware just broke irony.
