SanDisk Announces Worlds Smallest 128-gigabit Flash Chip Posted: 22 Feb 2012 08:11 AM PST SanDisk is claiming to have created the world smallest 128-gigabit, 16GB memory chip. The tiny chip measuring just 170mm square or 0.26in square uses 19 nanometer, three-bit-per-cell storage. The SanDisk mini storage chip is also fairly fast provided users with 144Mbps around 18MB per second, and can be stacked or positioned next to others to increase the required storage capacity. The iPhone Boombox was created with some MDF, and a layer of acrylic which was sandwiched in between the MDF, and it was created using a ShopBot CNC router and a laser cutter.
