If you’re a gamer on a budget looking for a new video card, you’ll want to check out the new card that AMD has unveiled today. The new card is called HD 7770 GHz edition and is the first video card in the world to ship with a 1 GHz clock speed on the reference design. There are other video cards out there running at 1 GHz, but those are overclocked cards from partners.

SanDisk X100 SSD Promises Speed and Storage Capacity

Earlier today, we talked about the new SanDisk Extreme SSD that debuted and briefly mentioned the X100. I am going to talk a little bit more about the X100 now. The new SSD will be offered in capacities from 32GB to 512GB and uses MLC technology inside. The drives plug in to various ports depending on the model.

LaCie has today started shipping their new LaCie 2big Thunderbolt storage solutions with the 4TB LaCie costing $650, and the larger 6TB costing a hefty $800. Originally announced during CES 2012 back in January, the LaCie 2big offer speeds up to 327MB/s, together with hot-swappable disks, RAID security, and of course the ability to daisy chain them together using the new Thunderbolt ports.

Reminiscent of a Tron styled watch, TokyoFlash the unique watch manufacturer has posted another concept watch design on their website which has been created by Hea'thër from Bluton & Sam from Germany. The watches display uses 'always on' LCD technology, The watch can be set to light up every 30 seconds to show the time and fade out again.

iPad 2 Removed From Amazon China

It looks like things could be heating up in the case between Proview and Apple, as it would appear that the iPad 2 has been removed from Amazon China, and the device is no longer on sale on Amazon in the country.

It isn’t clear as yet whether the removal of the iPad 2 from Amazon China is a result of a court ruling, or whether some other legal move has been used by Proview to have the device removed from Amazon in the country.

Researchers at PEGA have created a new material called Paper PP Alloy, that could one day replace the plastic that is used to create the cases of our laptops and computer devices.

Far Cry 3 Launching In September 2012 Leaks German Video

A German video has been leaked, revealing that Far Cry 3 might be arriving this year in September, conflicting with reports that the new game might be available to purchase as early as March 2012.

Unfortunately the video which leaked the news has now been removed, by Ubisoft on copyright grounds. But before its removal was watch and revealed that Far Cry 3 could be launching on September 6th in Europe and September 4th in North America.

Adobe has released another sneak peak at its new Photoshop CS6 software, with the launch of a video demonstrating the softwares new content-aware move feature. In addition to a new Patch Tool for selecting where you want to Content Aware Fill from, Photoshop CS6 will also come with a new feature called a Content Aware Move tool that lets you easily move portions of your photographs around and extend them intelligently. ZTE Tania Now Available In The UK

ZTE’s latest Windows Phone smartphone the ZTE Tania is now available in the UK from a number of online retailers, and the device is available for around £199.99 SIM free.

The ZTE Tania comes with the latest version of Microsoft’s mobile OS, Windows Phone 7.5 Mango and the device features a 4.3 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

LG X3 Tegra 3 Smartphone Benchmarks And Specifications Leaked

The LG X3 which is LG’s first quad core Android smartphone was recently leaked, and now the guys from MoDaCo have some more details on the device including some benchmarks.

According to the report the LG X 3 will feature a 4.7 inch HD multi-touch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, processing will be provided by a quad core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor.

Genius has announced the addition of a new headset to its range in the form of the Cavimanus, a virtual 7.1 professional gaming headset.The virtual 7.1 channel system is equipped with 40mm neodymium driver units, together with a unique vibration function.

Specifications include: microphone sensitivity of -39+/-3 dB, and speaker frequency response: 20Hz~20KHz, impedance: 32ohm and sensitivity: 96dB.

ZTE Light Tab 2 Launched In the UK

Last month we heard that the ZTE Light Tab II tablet would be available in the UK in February, and now ZTE has announced that the device has launched here in the UK and will be available shortly.

As a reminder the ZTE Light Tab 2 features a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen display and it will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is powered by a single core 1.4GHz processor.

More Awesome Skyrim Creation Kit Mods (video)

As you can expect over the new few months there is going to be a flood of new Skyrim mods appearing for the new Bethesda game now that they have launched the Creation Kit software on Steam.

If you don’t already know, the Creation Kit software enables you to make your own custom mod scripts which can be used within the Skyrim game, and has already produced a number of useful and not use useful but very funny modifications since its release.

Google’s Android Hits 50 Percent Of Smartphone Market Share

Google’s Android platform is continuing with its incredible growth, and according to a recent report from Gartner, for the fourth quarter of 2011, Android made up 50.9 percent of all smartphone sales worldwide.

In second place is Apple’s iOS with a share of 23.8 percent, in third place is Symbian with an 11.7 percent share and in fourth place is RIM and their BlackBerry OS which had an 8.8 percent share of the market.

Nokia Lumia 610 Budget Windows Phone In The Works?

We know that Nokia will be unveiling a number of Windows Phone devices at MWC 2012 later this month, and now details of a new budget Nokia Windows Phone handset have been rumored, the Nokia Lumia 710.

According to a recent report, the Nokia Lumia 710 will be priced lower than that of the Nokia Lumia 710, and it will come with Windows Phone Tango, which will support lower specifications that the existing version.

More Resident Evil 6 Game Details Unveiled By Capcom (video)

Today Capcom have released new detailed information about their new upcoming new Resident Evil 6 game to whet the appetite of fans around the world. A teaser video was unveiled last month but now Capcom has also revealed that the setting for the new Resident Evil 6 game maybe China is a functional coastal town of Lanshiang.

The new Resident Evil 6 game will also feature a newly designed control system allowing players to shoot whilst moving; slide; roll in any direction and to take cover along with the addition of an enhanced melee attack.

HTC Working On Music Streaming Service?

According to a recent report by GigaOM, HTC is working on a new music streaming service for its range of mobile devices and tablets, the service could possibly be similar to something like Spotify.

HTC purchased the controlling stake in Beat Audio last year, and since then we have seen a range of new smartphones and devices with integrated Beat Audio, so music is obviously high on the companies agenda.

Designer Jules Moretti has dreamed up a concept for a new Apple product called the MacPad Pro, which incorporates a touch screen keyboard and combines both the iPad and Macbook Pro.

The design combines two touch screens similar to the existing Apple iPad together with a hinge and sprinkles in a few thunderbolt, USB and a power connections for good measure, together with an SD card reader.

We recently heard that RIM was offering free PlayBook tablets to developers who were creating bringing their Android apps to the PlayBook and the new version of their OS, PlayBook OS 2.0.

RIM also announced that they were extending the offer until the beginning of March, and now it would appear that we may have a possible launch date for BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0.

Apple’s Mac Pro is certainly due an upgrade, Apple last launched a new Mac Pro back in 2010, and since then we have heard a number of rumors that Apple are working on a new model.

The fantastic free and open source package LibreOffice has this week rolled out a new update to its suite of software, that brings with it a number of new features and tweaks, improving the package even further.

LibreOffice developers Document Foundation have announced the launch of their latest version as “The best free office suite ever” and marks the third major release. New features in the update include a built-in Grammar checker for English and several other languages, together with improved typographical features, for professional looking documents.

SanDisk has added another solid state drive to their range with the launch of the SanDisk Extreme SSD, which is a 2.5 inch solid state drive that features a 6GB/s SATA connection.

The SanDisk Extreme SSD features read speeds up to 550MB/s and write speeds up to 520MB/s and it will be available in a choice of storage sizes which include a 120GB version, a 240GB version and a 480GB version.

Back in December 2009 Google launched its Google Public DNS a free, global Domain Name System (DNS) resolution service. But today Google’s DNS service is now longer an experimental service, and has become the worlds largest DNS service.

An Internet DNS service acts like a giant phone book allowing users to look up hundreds or thousands of entries everyday, and now Google’s DNS service is processing over 70 billion requests on a daily basis.

Over the last week we have been hearing about a couple of security flaws discovered in Google Wallet, on Monday Google announced that they would be removing the provisioning of pre-paid cards for Google Wallet.

Proview, the company who owns the trademark for the ‘iPad’ name in China is attempting to ban imports and exports of the device in China, and recently some iPads were seized from a retailer by Chinese authorities regarding the claim.

Proview, who are reported to be in financial trouble, sold Apple the rights for the iPad trademark for a number of countries a few years ago, Apple claims these rights include China, Proview claims that Apple didn’t purchase the rights for the trademark in China.

Apple launched its iCloud service at the same time as the launch of the iPhone 4S, we heard a couple of weeks ago that iCloud had reached 85 million users, and now Apple’s CEO Tim Cook has announced that iCloud now has over 100 million users around the world.

That is an increase of 15 million users in just 21 days, which is pretty impressive, and Tim Cook also revealed that iCloud is a long term strategy for Apple, which the company will be developing.

It’s never a good sign when the first time you think about an MMO in years is when you hear about its impending demise. No doubt the online spin-off of Hideo Kojima’s celebrated franchise has a vibrant and passionate community. I wouldn’t know, I haven’t played it. But surviving for a full four years in what has for a long time been the most one-sided genre in video games is to be commended, as is a graceful exit.

Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls series has always been popular as a sword and sorcery simulator of unsurpassed content and granularity. The last two additions to the series in particular are imbued with more scope than the average lifetime. But equally true is that this has not in the past been strong motivation at retail to people not already in love with this sort of thing. Skyrim, however, seems to have hit a collective cultural nerve that only games in traditionally close but radically different genres like MMOs have been able to so far.
