Spotify has today announced that it will be closing their Open account service and replacing it with a six month unlimited trial. After your 6 months are up, your trial will be limited to 10 hours of streaming per month and a 5-play limit will be applied to individual tracks. If you already have a Open account with Spotify, the company have explained what will happen in a statement after the jump. If you are already a paying subscriber to Spotify there are no changes to your account. | Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 Appears At The FCC Posted: 27 Sep 2011 08:13 AM PDT Samsung announced its latest Android tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, when it was announced we weren’t sure if it would be heading to the US, but now it looks like it is as it has appeared at the FCC. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 will come with Android 3.2 Honeycomb and it features a 7.7 inch Super AMOLED Plus display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, processing is provided by a dual core 1.4GHz processor and it also come with 1GB of Ram and a choice of either 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of built in storage, there is also HSPA+ connectivity.

| ZTE Shows Off 7 Inch NVIDIA Kal-El Quad Core Tablet Posted: 27 Sep 2011 07:10 AM PDT We have already seen NVIDIA’s new Kal-El processor in action, but now it would appear that we have the first actual consumer tablet which features the new quad core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, the ZTE T98. The ZTE T98 was recently shown off at an exhibition in China, and it features a quad core 1.5GHz processor, plus a 7 inch 1280 x 800 resolution display, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.

| Brushless Artist Creates Amazing Paintings In Time Lapse Video Posted: 27 Sep 2011 04:16 AM PDT Amy Shackleton is an artist who creates amazing painting without using any brushes, instead she uses squeeze bottles, and the video below shows here creating two paintings in time lapse. Amazingly out of the 4,800 bottles launch into the ocean he has received replies from 3,100 of them. Hackett prefers to use Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice or Orange Juice bottles with bright fluorescent messages to attract people attention and launched his first back in May 1996. All of the bottles and messages are dated and he asks for the finder to send a response back with some taking more than 13 years to gain a reply. The Fusion Garage Grid 4 features a 4 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, processing is provided by a Qualcomm MSM8255 processor and 512MB of RAM.

The survey was conducted in August and it revealed that on average around 43 percent of smartphone owners have an Android device, and it also looked at people who has purchased a new smartphone over the last 3 months.

Now some more photos of the HTC Vigor have been leaked, and these ones show the Verizon branding, and we are expecting some sort of announcement from Verizon shortly on this new Android smartphone from HTC.

| Coffee Powered Car Sets New Speed World Record (video) Posted: 27 Sep 2011 01:19 AM PDT An industrious team of volunteers from Teesdale Conservation in Durham, UK have transformed a V6 car to run on just coffee grinds. Which has now just broken the existing Guinness World Record “for vehicles run on gas from organic waste” setting a new speed record. The car has been equipped with a gasifier which burns organic material at high temperatures around 1292 F, creating combustible gases which, after being cleaning and cooled, are then used as fuel to power the adapted combustion engine within the modified Rover SD1. The HTC Amaze 4G features a dual core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and will come with Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 plus HTC’s custom user interface, HTC Sense 3.0.

| Amazon Kindle Fire Tablet Launching On Wednesday Posted: 26 Sep 2011 11:39 PM PDT Amazon is holding a special event tomorrow, Wednesday the 28th of September, where the company is expected to unveil their new Android tablet, and now according to TechCrunch, the Amazon tablet will be called the Amazon Kindle Fire. The new comes from MG Siegler over at TechCrunch, who reported a while back that he had actually seen the new Amazon tablet, and it is reported to be a 7 inch tablet with a back-lit display which looks similar to the BlackBerry PlayBook.
