| Posted: 01 Sep 2011 04:59 AM PDT We have featured quite a few different iPad cases here at Geeky Gadgets, the latest one is made from Bamboo and it is currently a Kickstarter project, although the makers behind the case already make some Bamboo cases for Apple’s MacBook range. The guys behind the Bamboo iPad 2 cases are looking to raise $25,000 via Kickstarter in order to make more of the cases, as they are unable to keep up with demand for the cases without expanding.

The Samsung WB570 features a 12.5 megapixel BSI (Back Side Illuminated) CMOS sensor, it is capable of recording Full HD video in 1080p and it also comes with a dual capture system that lets you record HD video whilst snapping 10 megapixel photos.

| Android Now Makes Up 40 Percent Of US Smartphone Market Posted: 01 Sep 2011 04:34 AM PDT Nielsen have published their smartphone data, and according to the most recent figures for the month of July 2011, Google’s Android OS now makes up 40 percent of the US smartphone market, making it the most popular mobile platform in the US today. Apple’s iOS platform has stayed the same with around a 28 percent share and RIM Blackberry has decreased to around 19 percent, Windows Mobile is now sitting at 7 percent and other operating systems at 5 percent.

| Samsung NX200 20 Megapixel Compact System Camera Announced Posted: 01 Sep 2011 04:23 AM PDT We have already seen a bunch of new products from Samsung this morning which included the new Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 and the Samsung Galaxy WiFi 3.6, now we have a new compact system camera, the Samsung NX200. The Samsung NX200 features a 20.3 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor with an ISO range of 100-2800, and the ability to record to record HD video, it will come with a range of different lenses.

The Samsung Galaxy WiFi 3.6 features a 3.65 inch HVGA TFT LCD touchscreen display and Android 2.3 Gingerbread, it also comes with a 2 megapixel camera on the back with an LED flash and a front facing VGA camera for video chat.

| Haier Unveils The Worlds First Wire Free 3D HDTV Posted: 01 Sep 2011 01:48 AM PDT There is just one problem with gadgets and technology, the majority of them all come with some sort of wire either needed to power them or charge them, now a company called Haier is showing off the worlds first wire free 3D HDTV at this years IFA in Berlin. The Haier HDTV are powered by exchanging energy between the power source and the TV remotely without the need for any wires connected to the TV, and all you home AV components can also communicate with the TV without the need for wires as well.

| Amazon’s Quad Core Hollywood Tablet Coming In 2012? Posted: 01 Sep 2011 12:30 AM PDT We know Amazon is working on some new Android tablets, which we are expecting to see before the end of the year, one of those is rumored to the called the Amazon Hollywood and it will apparently feature a quad core NVIDIA Kal-El processor and a 10 inch display. According to a recent report by DigitTimes, the Amazon Hollywood tablet won’t start shipping until the early part of 2012, the reports says that Foxconn, who are rumored to be manufacturing the tablet for Amazon, wont start making it until quarter one of 2012.

One South Carolina woman did, and she paid with real money, feeling that the transaction was in the up and up. She handed $180 for an iPad that turned out to be a wooden plank with an Apple logo. It’s called the Rio Hamza after ½ of the scientific duo who ‘discovered’ the enormous water source using calculations. No Indiana Jones adventure here (i.e. Indiana Jones and The Lost River of Death) but it certainly proves that the Amazon has more than a few secrets.
