Microsoft explains the reason for dropping the Flash plugin is because its “not a good match with Metro style browsing and the modern HTML5 web.”. The Sony S Tablet will be available from PC World and Currys from tomorrow, from the Tottenham Court Road PC World store in London and the Black Store in Birmingham, and the first 100 customers will also receive a free Sony Bravia TV worth £400, will this be enough to get people interested in Sony’s new Android Tablet?

| HTC Rhyme (Bliss) Photos Leaked Posted: 15 Sep 2011 02:53 AM PDT We have been hearing rumors about another new Android device from HTC, the HTC Bliss, which we are expecting HTC to announce at their press event next week on the 20th of September. Now it would appear that the HTC Bliss will be called the HTC Rhyme, and it will come with the latest version of HTC’s custom user interface, HTC Sense 3.5.

The tablets are currently prototypes which can be purchased by companies with custom specifications to then be sold on to consumers. The Jaguar3 will be priced at around $100 to companies and will probably end up under $200 once they hit stores. Its powered by a a dual-core ZMS-20 1.5GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor and 48 of Zii's StemCell Processors and sports a 10 inch 1280×800 touchscreen with dual cameras. | Orange CEO Says iPhone 5 Coming To France 15th Of October Posted: 15 Sep 2011 02:46 AM PDT According to the CEO of mobile operator Orange, Stéphane Richard, the iPhone 5 will launch in France on the 15th of October, and a recent interview with a TV channel in France, the Orange CEO let slip the 15th of October for the launch date of the iPhone 5 on the Orange network in France. This isn’t the first time that the Orange CEO has let things slip about new Apple products, as he gave out some information about the original iPad before it launched, although some of the specifications he mentioned back then were incorrect.

The video below shows Windows 8 running on an NVIDIA Kal-El tablet, which features NVIDIA’s new quad core Kal-El processor, and as you can see from the video below, Windows 8 looks pretty good on the NVIDIA tablet.

| Windows 8 Developer Preview Reaches 500,000 Downloads Posted: 15 Sep 2011 02:01 AM PDT Microsoft released the developer preview of their new operating system late on Tuesday, Windows 8, and Yesterday Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer announced that Windows 8 had already been download over 500,000 times. We have already seen a video of Windows 8 running on a netbook and have also had a look at Windows 8 running on a tablet, and Microsoft are looking to unify Windows 8 across a number of devices which includes, notebooks, PCs and tablets.

The Asus Eee Pad Slider will come with Android Honeycomb 3.2, and it features a 10.1 inch LED backlit display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, it also comes with a slide out QWERTY keyboard and processing is provided by a dual core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor.

| HTC Desire HD Gets Beats Audio ROM Posted: 15 Sep 2011 01:38 AM PDT Yesterday the first Beats Audio enabled device from HTC was announced, the HTC Sensation XE, but its looks like it wont be the first HTC device to get Beats Audio, thanks to the guys over at the XDA Developer Forum. The XDA guys have put together a Beats Audio ROM, which is based on the leaked HTC Runnymede ROM, and it is designed to bring HTC’s Beats Audio to the Desire HD.

| Google Nexus Prime To Be Taller Than Nexus S? Posted: 15 Sep 2011 01:22 AM PDT We know that Samsung is making the Nexus Prime for Google, and now according to the guys over at The Droid Guy, who have reportedly seen the device it will be taller and slightly thicker than the Google Nexus S. According to the report, the Google Nexus Prime will come with a dual core TI OMAP processor, possibly the OMAP 4460 and it will feature an 8 megapixel on the back plus a front facing 2 megapixel camera.

| Apple’s iMessage Being Built Into OS X Lion’s iChat? Posted: 15 Sep 2011 12:05 AM PDT One of the new features that Apple will launch with iOS 5, which is expected to launch shortly, is iMessage, it is basically a unified chat messaging service for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Now according to a recent report from the guys over at Mac Rumors, Apple is also building iMessage into OS X Lion’s iChat service, which would mean that he iMessage service would also be available on Mac OS X Lion devices as well as iOS devices.

| Google Launches Google Goggles 1.6 Posted: 14 Sep 2011 11:57 PM PDT Google has launched a new version of Google Goggles, the latest version is Google Goggles 1.6 and it is designed to enhance the camera on your Android smartphone, and it comes with a new opt-in feature that will let you take a photo with your Android device’s camera and the Google Goggles will work in the background to analyze your photo. The Google Goggles application will then notify you if it can recognize items that are contained within the photo, Google explains how it works below.

The Subscribe Button will let you choose exactly what you see from other people in your news feed, you will now also be able to subscribe to content from other people who are not in your friends list, and also share your content with other people who are not in your friends list.

| Google Buys Another 1,000 Patents From IBM Posted: 14 Sep 2011 11:30 PM PDT Back in August we reported that Google had purchased over 1,000 patents from IBM, then we heard that Google was buying Motorola Mobility, which would give the search giant a large patent portfolio that could be used to defend Google’s Android OS from the like of Apple and Microsoft. Now it would appear that Google has purchased another 1,022 patents from IBM, and it looks like the purchase to place back in August, with a final transaction date of the 13th of September.
