Earlier this month we talked a bit about the new Samsung Conquer 4G smartphone that was coming to Sprint. The phone was initially pegged to sell for about $100. That seemed like a good price for a 4G smartphone. As it turns out if you pre-order the Conquer 4G right now at Radio Shack you can get a much better deal.

Thrustmaster Debuts Racing Wheel Officially Licensed by Ferrari and Microsoft for Xbox 360

I love racing games on the game consoles I have. I really enjoy Forza, but I don’t like playing racing games nearly as much when I don't have a decent racing wheel. The cheap racing wheels that I have seen on the market for the Xbox haven’t been good enough to woo me to purchase. Thrustmaster has a new racing wheel that is going official today that I do want.

MSN And Hulu Caught Tracking Online Visitors With Supercookies

It has been discovered that both Hulu.com and MSN.com have been using powerful supercookies to track online visitors user data. The supercookies are almost impossible to detect and can recreate user profiles even after a normal cookie has been deleted and are capable of stealing a users complete browser history in some cases.The data can then be used to see a visitors financial and health status and provide advertisers with considerably more detailed information than a standard cookie would divulge.

OpenDNS Now Supports 30 Million Customers Worldwide

Santa Monica Glass-Roofed Apple Store Receives The Green Light

Yesterday we featured the application for a new glass-roofed store in Santa Monica, which even though was applied for by a "Howard Robinson" and the property owner as ASB/Blatteis Promenade Holdings, LLC. The Architect drawings gave the store away as an Apple establishment.

Well last night the new store was approved and given the green light to progress by the Santa Monica’s Planning Commission. The new building will now replace the existing three storey building that used to be a Borders Bookstore.

A  gaming-grade 2500-DPI optical sensor within the new G300 mouse tracks slow or fast movements on a wide variety of surfaces and has buttons positioned on both sides of the mouse for easy access.

The new Logitech G300 also allows you to store up to three peoples player profiles and macros in the mouse’s onboard memory, enabling yo to move it between computers without the need to re-configure it.

Mute Unwanted Phrases On TV With The Arduino Enough Already Box (video)

If you enjoy watching TV but are fed up listening to certain celebrity names or phrases being over used. A new Arduino device called the Enough Already, developed by Matt Richardson might be able to help you recover control of your TVs audio.

His new creation is Arduino based and allows you to mute a TVs audio based on certain keywords or phrases. The little device uses a Video Experimenter Shield which is placed on top of the Arduino board enabling it to then decode the closed-captioning text of the programme currently showing on your TV. Google Sets A Deadline To Complete The $12.5 Billion Motorola Deal

Earlier this week Google announced they had made an offer to purchase Motorola for 12.5 Billion with a guarantee that if the deal didn’t go through Google would pay Motorola a massive $2.5 Billion break up fee. Well today Google has now drawn a line in the sand and set a date for the deals completion of February 15th 2013.

HP Introduces 64GB TouchPad

HP has today introduced a new 64GB version of its TouchPad tablet via its French website. The image below has been added to the front page of the HP France website and introduces the arrival of the 64GB TouchPad, which is now available to purchase from the site for €599.

It also indicates that the new TouchPad with increased storage will also be available in “White lacquered finish”, i.e. a white case with a black glass front. Together with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 1.5 GHz dual-core APQ8060.

The new trailer released by Ubisoft focuses on the agility and hand to hand combat players of the games have become to relish, which have been developed even further in the new release. Three Unveils Huawei E586 MiFi Offering 21 Mbps Downloads

Three UK has this week announced that they will soon be offering a new Huawei E586 MiFi that will be able to provide customers with HSPA+ support and  21.1Mbps downloads and 5.76Mbps uploads.

The new Huawei E586 MiFi device is equipped with a OLED screen that displays data such as battery life, data consumption, connection speed and browsing time and comes complete with its own charging cradle.

Samsung 700G7A Gaming Laptop Unveiled (video)

In the past Samsung’s laptops have never really featured as an option for gamers, but with the unveiling of Samsung’s new Series 7 700G7A high specified monster, Samsung might be rethinking and changing its direction more towards gamers.

The Samsung 700G7A is equipped with a 17.3-inch screen sporting a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution. Its powered by a Quad-Core Core i7 2Ghz processor which can be supported by up to 16 GB of RAM, while graphics are handled by a 2GB Radeon HD 6970m card. Recycled Bike Fork Bottle Openers

In this day an age its great to see unwanted and older items reused and modified to create useful gadgets and bring them back into use. Just like these recycled bike fork bottle openers that have been created by Etsy maker EH48.

Everyone of the bottle openers is unique and made from the bottom part of one side of a pair of bike forks. With the section that would normally grip the wheel hub, modified to create the working end of the bottle opener.

You might have already heard that the creator of Minecraft Markus "Notch" Persson is currently being pursued by a lawsuit from Bethesda, (creator of the Elder Scrolls series of games) for using the word ” Scrolls” within a new game title he has developed.

The new Scrolls game developed by Persson is a fantasy strategy game, developing the trading card game style of play. However Bethesda haven’t taken kindly to the use of “Scrolls” and say its a trademark infringement on the Elder Scrolls trademark. But rather than firing back with lawyers, Persson has challenged Bethesda to a duel in Quake 3 to sort out the disagreement.

Acer Iconia Smart Arriving In September

Acer first introduced their new Acer Iconia Smart smartphone back in the middle of February of this year. But until now very little has been announced about its arrival date. But thanks to post published to the Acer Germany Facebook page it now looks like the Acer Iconia Smart will be arriving next month for around $730.

The Acer Iconia Smart is equipped with a massive 4.8 inch display sporting a 1024 x 480 pixel resolution and  a 21:9 widescreen ratio. Powered by a 1GHz Scorpion processor, Qualcomm MSM8255-1 Snapdragon supported by 512 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM and 8 GB of storage.

Windows 8 Will Feature An App Store Reveals Microsoft

Microsoft has today revealed that their new Windows 8 OS will indeed have its own “App Store”. Confirming the rumours that have been circulating since a number of Windows 8 development documents were leaked in the middle of 2010. Together with a few leaked Windows 8 screenshots earlier this year that idicated a navigation tab for an “App Store”.

IBM Unveils New Chips That Mimic Brain-Like Functionality

IBM have announced the creation of two experimental chips by it researchers that are structured more like a human brain than a computer chip as we know it today. IBM are calling the new chips an “unprecedented” step forward in creating intelligent computers and is hoping the new experimental chips will become the building blocks for it to develop cognitive computing.

In developing these new chips IBM is hoping to create technology that more closely emulates human behaviours in the way they learn and take action. Providing the chips with the ability to be able to make decisions by processing immense amounts of data. “We aren't there yet, but before long these chips will be able to rewire themselves on the fly," says Dharmendra Modha, an I.B.M. researcher.

Stunning Guild Wars 2 Gamescom 2011 Trailer (video)

Gamescom 2011 has already provided some great game trailers this week in Germany, and the latest to be released is a stunning 5 minute Guild Wars 2 trailer, that won’t disappoint.

Last year at Gamescom AreanaNet won the Online Game of the Year award and has come back this year looking to defend its title with the launch of a new playable build of the anticipated MMO. Watch the trailer build into a crescendo of battles after the jump, showing how the five great races competed and warred against each other, struggling to tip the balance of power in their favour.

Google Adds Honeycomb Support To Its Android Reader App

As well as their update to their iOS Search application Google has also today rolled out a new updated for its Android Reader app. Bring Honeycomb support to the application together with a number of visual improvements.

The new Honeycomb support within Google Android Reader app provides a similar look to its desktop version within two viewing panes. Together with a streamlined interface and easy to use navigation and sharing controls positioned in the top right of the screen.

Tiny Origami Figures Strain Your Eyes

Imagine having to look at one of these creations as they sit on your fingertip. That’s right, fingertip. The picture below isn’t depicting a giant person with an origami sculpture on their giant fingertip. It’s an almost beyond minuscule work of art the eye would strain to see. Google Search iOS App Receives Instant Pages Update

Following on from the addition of the new Instant Pages in Google’s Chrome browser earlier this month. Google has now rolled out a new update for its iOS Search application which also now includes the new Instant Pages feature.

Instant Pages has been designed by Google to bring extra speed to your search by preloading your first search results, when Google is confident they have matched your search request accurately. Brain Eating Amoeba Fears Grow In The U.S. After Deaths

And the flames are being fanned by news of a second victim this month. The ‘outbreak’ of the amoeba, which grows in stagnant water passages, is so far confined to Virginia. The parasite is believed to have killed three dozen people in the past ten years and affects its victims by causing meningitis. So far only children are most vulnerable and the spread of the amoeba may be a seasonal thing.

Sony Panel: Single Player Games Extinct In Three Years

We just hope video game consultant Mark Cerny provided more than the one example Eurogamer wrote about, although it’s not like anyone actually takes starry-eyed industry futurists to task unless they’re named Peter Molyneux.

New Wii Loses GameCube Support, Not Coming To US

New information is trickling out about Nintendo’s non-update to its formerly barely next-gen, soon to be stone age-gen console. Sure, it’s reportedly slightly slimmer and it has a newfound fondness for the horizontal plane, but apparently it’s losing something fairly important in the process: GameCube compatibility.
