Apple’s iTunes Replay Service Delayed By Movie Studios? Posted: 08 Aug 2011 07:52 AM PDT The other day we heard that Apple intends to launch a new movie streaming service, which will be called iTunes Replay, and it looks like the service may be suffering from some of the earlier problems that Apple had getting their iTunes Match music service off the ground. Apple’s iTunes Match is scheduled to launch in September at the same time as Apple launches iOS 5, it took Apple quite some time to come to agreement with the record labels on the service and now it looks like the company is having similar problems with the movie studios. Apple Sued Over OS X Fast Booting Posted: 08 Aug 2011 07:15 AM PDT According to the guys over at Patently Apple, a Florida based company called Operating Systems Solutions, has filed a patent lawsuit against Apple, and the company is alleging that Apple’s fast boot feature is OS X is infringing their patent. It looks like the patent originally belong to LG back in 2002, and then another company called Promitus Technologies in 2008, there are no details on how OSS got their hands on the patent. 10 Year Old Hacker Finds iOS And Android Gaming Security Flaw Posted: 08 Aug 2011 06:52 AM PDT A 10 year old called CyFi has announced a flaw which she found in some Android and iOS games at this years DefCon hacker conference in las Vegas. CyFi discovered the bug whilst playing farming games, she was bored with the game taking so long and wanted to find a way to speed things up. Simply by advancing the clock on her tablet or smartphone, she was able to find a way to speed up these farming games, for example when the clock was changed CyFi was able to produce crops within the game more quickly than she normally would have been able to. According to Jalopink, one of Google’s self driving Toyota Prius was involved in an accident with another Toyota Prius, and a few other cars, close to Google’s headquarters, in Mountain View, California. Apple Releases iOS 5 Beta 5 To Developers Posted: 07 Aug 2011 11:08 PM PDT Apple has released the latest beta version of iOS 5 to developers, iOS 5 Beta 5, along with iTunes Beta 5, and it looks like iOS Beta 5 includes a number of bug fixes rather than any major new features. The update is available to iOS developers for their iOS devices as an OTA update, so we guess Apple is testing out the OTA update feature which will deliver our iOS updates to us in the future.
