Mozilla is already aware of this and in recent version tried to tackle the issues with some effect. With huge steps being taken in the right direction with their current version 5. But with Firefox 7 Mozilla is hoping to crush the memory issues even further, users should see Firefox 7 using less memory than earlier versions, often 20% to 30% less, and sometimes as much as 50% less say Mozilla. Kinect “Monkey Business” Wireless Puppet (video) Posted: 11 Aug 2011 07:05 AM PDT Ralph Kistler and Jan Sieber have teamed up and used a Microsoft Kinect motion controller, a handful of servo’s and a cuddly teddy. To create and interactive installation where users can move in front of a teddy and see it mimic their movements, like a wireless puppet. First a wired frame skeleton was created and fitted with servo’s controller by the Kinect and a micro controller, the skeleton was then carefully inserted inside the cuddly teddy. Posted: 11 Aug 2011 06:00 AM PDT A unique bike called the Bonobo has been created by Polish designer Stanisław Płoski, and has been created using a moulded plywood frame rather than a traditional metal alloy one, that you would expect to see on a mountain bike. The plywood frame was created by laminating strips of veneer together to create a curved lines of the upper and lower bars of the frame. The flexibility of the plywood frame would definitely provide a very different ride sensation when compared to a rigid metal welded frame of a framed traditional bike. Currently in its Beta version only Team Fortress 2 items and Steam Gifts can currently be traded , but Valve are currently looking at adding more games in the near future. The Sifteo Cubes were showcased at CES earlier this year and consist of 1.5 inch wireless cubes fitted with 128 x 128 resolution LCD screens on one side. They have been designed to interact with each other and are an alternative game system for truly hands-on play. The USB Promoter Group has announced that the next generation of USB solutions could deliver up to as much as a 100 watts via a single USB cable. 100 watts of power could be used to power larger devices and would be enough to power a LCD monitor, printers or laptops without any trouble at all. Enabling Twitter users to be able to view the tweets which are popular within their circle of friends and also see when someone has favorited or retweeted you. OnLive Cloud Gaming Arriving In The UK Sept 22nd Posted: 11 Aug 2011 01:23 AM PDT OnLive has today announced that their OnLive Cloud gaming service will be arriving in the UK next month on September 22nd. The Cloud based gaming service enables uses to game on tablets and HDTV’s without the need for an expensive console. The gameplay and processing that is normal carried out locally by the console, is now processed within the cloud, and already allows users to enjoy more than 100 “top tier” game titles. The service has already been launched in the US for some time and OnLive has already partnered with a number of big game developers such as Ubisoft, THQ and Square Enix to bring block buster games to the service, such as Assassin’s Creed, Homefront and Batman: Arkham Asylum.
