Samsung has announced a special package for its 840 Pro SSD. The drive promises to increase the performance of your computer notebook and comes in 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB models. This SSD will work in notebook or desktop computers.

You might remember back in May when we first talked about some of the networks not being happy with satellite provider Dish Network’s new AutoHop and PrimeTime Anytime features. These features allow users to automatically record prime time programming from all four major networks and automatically remove the commercials.

More OUYA Development Kits Now Available To Pre-order For $800

If you missed out on the first wave of development kits for the unique and popular open source gaming console the OUYA, that recently raised more than $8.5 million on Kickstarter. You will be pleased to know that OUYA is now taking pre-orders for more development kits priced at $800 each.

OUYS’s open source Android gaming console is still set to make the jump from concept to retail in March 2013, with the latest development kits expected to ship in January 2013.

RIM’s BlackBerry 10 Gets US Security Clearance

RIM will launch their new BlackBerry 10 OS some time in early 2013, we have already had a look at RIM’s new mobile OS, and have seen some leaked pictures of some of the BlackBerry 10 devices that will be available at launch.

It appears that RIM has obtained security clearance for their BlackBerry 10 OS from the US government, and they have received security certifications for the FIPS 140-2 certification signals for the US and Canadian governments.

sprint recently put the new LG Optimus G smartphone up for pre-order, and the device will be available from Sprint on the 11th of November, and now it would appear that the handset will receive a software update at launch.

According to Android Police, the LG Optimus G on Sprint will receive a software update to fix some issues, and the update will be available on the same day as the handset goes on sale, you can see what the update will include below.

Raspberry Pi Used To Create One Button Audiobook Player (video)

Developer Michael Clemens has used a $35 Raspberry Pi to create a one button, audiobook player for his wife’s visually impaired 90-year-old grandmother, enabling here to listen to audio book with ease.

The compact device uses the Raspberry Pi to read audio books from a USB flash drive that is connected to the device. Watch the video after the jump to learn more about the Audiobook player project and see it in action.

Diablo 3 Expansion In Development Reveals Blizzard

After announcing their Diablo 3 game has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide, with 3.5 of those being sold in the first 24 hours after launch.

Blizzard has also announced during its investor call that a new expansion for their Diablo 3 game is currently in development, however no timeline or release date has yet bee agreed as yet.

We have been hearing rumors for a while that Microsoft are getting ready to launch their Microsoft Office app for Apple’s iOS devices and Google’s Android devices, and now it would appear that the apps will launch some time in early 2013 as we mentioned earlier,

According to the guys over at The Verge, Office Mobile will be available as free apps on both Android and iOS, and they will let you view Microsoft Office documents on your iOS and Android device.

There have been several attempts to get people excited about “ultrawidescreen” 21:9 aspect ratio HDTVs, but they haven’t really taken off. LG is hoping to change this by bringing the formfactor to the desktop. That’s where the new EA93 UltraWide LCD monitor comes into play.

Photos have appeared online of another new 5 inch Sony Smartphone, the Sony Yuga which is rumored to feature a full HD 1080p display, the device is also expected to come with a quad core processor clocked at 1.5GHz.

Other specifications on the Sony Yuga include a 12 megapixel camera and 2GB of RAM, the handset is also said to feature a unibody design, and the photo below was posted to Android Schweiz.

Bethesda has today Tweeted news that new Skyrim content is close to release for PS3 consoles and PC system stating “we're also close on new Skyrim content for PS3 and PC.”

Sprint Buys Midwest Holdings In A Deal Worth $480 Million From US Cellular

US mobile carrier Sprint has purchased customers and a spectrum from mobile carrier US Cellular in the United States Midwest, the deal is worth a reported $480 million.

The deal is expected to be finalized some time next year, and the spectrum that has been purchased covers areas like llinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio, and this will allow Sprint to expand its network into these areas.

As well as announcing their high end HTC Windows Phone 8X, HTC also announced a budget Windows Phone 8 smartphone a while back, and now it would appear that the new HTC Windows Phone 8S is getting ready to launch in the US, as the device has appeared at the FCC.

The HTC Windows Phone 8S has turned up at the FCC with support for both AT&T and T-Mobile HSPA bands, so it looks like the device will be headed to the US shortly.

Lenovo has this week launched its new IdeaTab A2107 Android tablet in the US for $150, which comes supplied running Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system.

The Lenovo IdeaTab A2107 is powered by a 1 GHz MTK 6575 ARM Cortex-A9 single core processor, supported by 512MB of RAM and includes 8GB of internal storage.

Starbucks announced back in August that they were investing a total of $25 million in mobile payment system Square, and they also announced that they would be offering Square as a payment option in their stores from November.

Starbucks has now started accepting Square mobile payments in 7,000 of their stores in the US, and you will be able to use your Square Wallet to purchase anything in participating stores.

Sony has announced a new software update for a couple of its Xperia smartphones, the Sony Xperia T and Sony Xperia TX, and both devices will now get the Android 4.0.4 ice Cream Sandwich update.

Sony has said that the software updates for both devices will start this week, and will be rolled out globally, although they have said that the availability for the updates will vary my market and carrier.

Apple has sent out emails to people who previously used their MobileMe service, and is offering them a new iCloud email address, when Apple launched iCloud, anyone who signed up to the service was automatically given an iCloud.com email address.

MobileMe users who previously had a me.com email address used this address for iCloud, and now you can choose to either continue to use your me.com email or have a new iCloud.com email from Apple.

AT&T To Invest $14 Billion On Improving Thier Network

US mobile carrier AT&T is going to invest a massive $14 billion to improve their network, the carrier will invest the money over the next three years, and out of the total $14 billion, $8 billion will be spent in its wireless networks.

AT&T has branded this new investment, project Velocity IP (VIP), and they will also be investing in getting consumers and businesses on 4G connections when Broadband is not practical.

Diablo 3 Sales Pass 10 Million Copies

When Diablo 3 launched back in May it launched without a few of its more highly anticipated features missing, and encountered a few problems with errors disrupting the games launch and players enjoyment, with Diablo servers feeling the strain on launch day.

However 6 months later results revealed at todays earnings call by Activision CEO Bobby Kotick revealed that Blizzard’s Diablo has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide so far.

Windows Phone 8 SkyDrive 3.0 App Launches

Following on from the recent launch of Windows 8 on October 26th 2012, Microsoft has now released a new SkyDrive application for smartphones running its Windows Phone 8 mobile operating system.

Although it has been possible to access files stored in the SkyDrive cloud storage facility via other Microsoft applications, the new SkyDrive WP 8 app allows you to now access everything from one place.

Microsoft Office For iOS And Android Launching In Early 2013

Last month it was rumoured that Microsoft was gearing up to release it MS Office Suite of software for Android and iOS in March 2013. Although nothing had been confirmed by Microsoft.

Today however the Verge technology website is reporting that several sources close to the development of the MS Office software have revealed that Microsoft is planning to release MS Office for both Android and iOS in early 2013, presumably earlier than March 2013.
