We’ve seen countless cars blown up on the big screen. Many filmmakers use computer effects to make things look good without actually having to blow up cars. Especially if those cars are expensive. The special effects crew who worked on the latest James Bond movie, Skyfall used a 3D printed model.

Popular Science names Google Now the Innovation of the Year

Korea opens world’s first toilet theme park

While many of us prefer to keep toilet talk under wraps and avoid having a potty mouth, in South Korea they take their toilets very seriously. To celebrate these miracles of flushing waste, the Korean city of Suwon has just opened the Restroom Cultural Park, the world’s first toilet-based theme park.

Everyone’s fingerprints are unique which is why they are used so often in crime investigations. Another use for your fingerprints would be biometric payment systems, and a similar technology is now being used at a hotel so that it will update your Facebook profile automatically.
