Android 4.1.2 Update For Samsung Galaxy Note II Leaked (Video)

The guys over at Sammobile have managed to get their hands on a leaked update for the Samsung Galaxy Note II, the update is Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for the device, which Samsung is currently testing at the moment.

Samsung are expected to release the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Note II some time either in December or early January, and it comes with a range of new features, have a look at the video below.

Samsung and Golf GameBook Team up for a Digital Scorecard

Samsung has teamed up with a company called Golf GameBook to develop the world’s first digital golf scorecard that is enabled with official signing. The app uses the functionality of the Galaxy Note II S pen for writing scores and for the digital signing. The Golf GameBook Apple selected as one of the small group of Samsung S Suggest applications.

Hacker convicted of stealing the personal data of 120,000 AT&T Apple iPad users

Here is the story of one hacker who got caught. On Tuesday, a Federal Court jury found 27 year old Andrew Auernheimer guilty of one count of conspiracy to access AT&T’s servers without permission, and one count of identity theft. Auernheimer and a co-defendant were accused of hacking into the carrier’s servers and stole email addresses and personal information belonging to 120,000 AT&T customers using the Apple iPad.

AT&T Rolling Out FaceTime Over Cellular To iOS Devices

AT&T previously did not support FaceTime over cellular on Apple’s iOS devices and now it would appear that AT&T has started rolling out the service to compatible devices running iOS 6.

According to a recent report by MacRumors, the service seems to now be available on a number of iOS devices which include the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 and the iPad 3 and 4.

HTC DROID DNA now available from Verizon

Mozilla Firefox OS Simulator Released, Enabling Mobile OS Testing On Your Desktop

Mozilla has released a new tool for developers this week, which has been designed to enable the ability to to install an .xpi extension inside of a desktop version of Firefox and check it out.

The new Mozilla Firefox OS Simulator has been named ”r2d2b2g”, or b2g for short and once its installed you will then see a dashboard allowing you to run the new browser simulator.

Portal 2 Update Adds Split Screen Co-op Support And More

Portal fans might be pleased to learn that Valve has this week rolled out a new update to its PC Portal 2 game which has brought with it a number of highly requested features.

Groove Android Smartphone For Cricket Wireless Announced

Cricket Wireless has added a new Android smartphone to their range with the launch of the Groove, which will be available on Cricket’s plans and will retail for $129.

The Cricket Groove is made by ZTE and features a 3.5 inch HVGA display and it comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, there is also a 3.2 megapixel rear camera and a front facing 0.3 megapixel camera for video chat.

Google Nexus 4 Owners Will get 50GB Of Free Box Storage

Razer Game Booster Launches Into Public Beta (video)

Nintendo Says There Are More Wii U Consoles On the Way

Yesterday we heard that Nintendo’s new Wii U console, which launched in the US on Sunday night had completely sold out in the US, and now it looks like Nintendo are working to deliver now consoles to stores.

A Nintendo executive has told Forbes that the company has more Wii U units on the way to stores, although there were no details given on exactly when the console will be available.

Asus Working On Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Update For Tablets

Asus has confirmed that they are working on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update for its range of tablets, although they have not revealed much information on which devices will get the update.

Nokia Lumia 920 Sold Out In The US

It looks like Nokia may have a hit on their hands with the new Nokia Lumia 920 smartphone, as according to a recent report by The Next Web, the Nokia Lumia 920 is sold out virtually everywhere in the US.

Jolla MeeGo-based Sailfish OS First Look Unveiled (video)

As promised earlier in the year Jolla have this week released a new video providing a first look at their new Sailfish mobile operating system, which is based on MeeGo.

MeeGo was originally adopted by Nokia to use on their N9 range of  smartphones, but was then quickly dropped by Nokia, who opted to use Windows Phone instead on the smartphone devices. The video after the jump demonstrates the new sailfish OS in action, and first impressions are good.

Apple’s Space Ship Campus To Open On 2016

We first heard about Apple’s new space ship campus when it was presented to the Cupertino City Council back in 2011, by the late Steve Jobs, Apple has originally planned to open their new campus in 2015.

Now it would appear that the project has been delayed slightly, and the new campus is now scheduled to open in 2016 , which would mean that Apple will probably start building the campus some time in 2014.

Apple’s iPhone 5 Gets Two New TV Adverts (Video)

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch Notebook Revealed

It looks like Lenovo is getting ready to launch a new version of their X1 notebook, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch which has now appeared on Lenovo’s website, although there were not many details about the devices specifications.

According to the guys over at Engadget, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch will feature a 14 inch touchscreen HD+ display, no resolution was listed but it is expected to be around 1,600 x 900 pixels.

Windows 8 Pirates Get a Free Activation Key From Microsoft

Before Windows 8 was officially released a final copy of the software was leaked online, and people were able to use the software bu activating it through a third party KMS server, this would allow users to use the software for 180 days.

After this period, the pirated copy of Windows 8 would need to be reactivated, but now it would appear that Microsoft has inadvertently given pirates the chance to turn their pirated software into a legitimate copy of Windows 8.

Planetside 2 MMO FPS Launches (video)

After being in its beta development stage for a number of months SOE has now launched their new Planetside 2 MMO FPS on schedule, allowing thousands of players to battle in an ongoing struggle for dominance.

Planetside 2 is the followup to Planetside which originally launched in 2003, and builds on the core features of the first game, enabling thousands of players in outfits and platoons to battle across three continents using, tanks, infantry, planes and tactics. Skype Version 3.0 For Android Launched (Video)

Skype has released a new version of their popular VoIP software for Android, Skype version 3.0and it adds in support for a number of Android tablets, which include the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, the Google Nexus 7, Acer Iconia, Asus Transformer Prime, Motorola Xoom and Sony S.

Google Working On Fix For December Bug In Android 4.2 Jelly Bean

The other day we heard about a bug that had been discovered in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, where you could not add a birthday or anniversary to the to the people/contacts apps in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean if the date you wanted to add was in December.

Google has now acknowledged the bug, and have said that they are working on fixing it and that an update will be ‘coming soon’ which will fix the problem, you can see the statement from Google below.

Archos Arnova FamilyPad 13.3 Inch Android 4.0 Tablet (video)

Amazon Appstore Update Brings New UI And More

Amazon has released a new version of their Appstore app, the latest version brings a number of bug fixes, improvements and an updated user interface to the Amazon Appstore.
