Grand Theft Auto: Rise Short Makes Us Want a Full-Length Film

The track record for video game movies isn’t that great. In fact, for while it seemed like Doom might have killed any chance of a successful video game movie. However, Hollywood does have a couple films in the works based on video games. A live-action version of Grand Theft Auto isn’t one of the video game movies in the works sadly.

Inside Out concept has a keyboard and touchpad in one device

Some people like to take a minimalist to their desktop. But full sized keyboards and mice take up valuable desk space and if you're looking for a way to minimize that, this keyboard/touchpad concept might be a good way to go. It was designed by Min Koo Yeo and is called "Inside Out".

Minecraft Reality iOS App Launches (video)

Following on from their announcement that Mincrafts developers Mojang, are releasing a version of their mInecraft game for the Raspberry Pi mini computer.

Leatherman Raptor Unveiled For Medics

Leatherman the manufacture of multi-tool knifes and gadgets, has this month unveiled a new model they have created specifically for medics, in the form of the Leatherman Raptor.

The multi-tool is equipped with 420HC stainless steel shears, a strap cutter, a carbide glass breaker, a ring cutter, a ruler, and an oxygen tank wrench.

Windows Phone 7.8 Update Coming 28th November (Rumor)

We heard earlier today that Windows Phone 7.8 for existing devices will be headed to China in the ‘coming weeks’ and now according to a recent report by a number of sites, Microsoft may actually release the Windows Phone 7.8 update this Wednesday the 28th of November.

The guys over at WMPoweruser have received a tip that Microsoft will be releasing the Windows Phone 7.8 update on the 28th of November, and the udpate will apparently bring a new start screen and much more

Microsoft To Launch Retail Stores In Europe (Rumor)

It looks like Microsoft is considering launching some of their retail stores in Europe, according toa  recent report by the FT, Microsoft have been in talks with UK landlords about plans to open Microsoft Retail Stores in the UK.

Microsoft are reported to be following a similar strategy to Apple by expanding their retail stores, although they will have quite a bit of work to do to catch up with Apple’s retail stores.

Microsoft Will Support Surface Tablet For At Least 4 Years

Microsoft recently released their first tablet, the Microsoft Surface which comes with Windows RT and now Microsoft has released some information on how long the will support the device for.

Microsoft has said that they will offer support for the Surface for a total for four years, Microsoft have yet to announce how long Windows RT will be supported for, although we presume it would be a least four years.

Google Preparing To Launch Google Branded Touchscreen Chromebooks

It’s been reported this week that Google could be preparing to launch its own brand of Chromebooks, following on from the success of their recently launched Nexus range of products.

According to the China Times not only will Google be launching a new self branded Chromebook, but the new Chromebook’s will also be equipped with touchscreens, manufactured by Compal, a Taiwan-based ODM.

ZTE N880E Gets Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Update

Some of our readers will remember the ZTE N880E Android smartphone which launched in China back in July, and now ZTE has announced that they are updating the device to the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

The ZTE N880E features a 4 inch WVGA touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, and the device is powered by a single core Qualcomm 1GHz processor.

Apple Acquired Lightning Connector Trademark From Harley-Davidson Motorcycles

Dropbox For iOS Gets Updated

Dropbox have released a new version of the cloud storage application for Apple’s iOS device, and the new version comes with a range of bug fixes, plus some new features, and it is compatible with iOS devices running iOS 4.3 and above.

The new Dropbox iOS app adds improved video streaming as well as supports for Italian and Iberian Spanish languages, there is also suppory fpr password protected Office documents with iOS 6.

Nexus 7 3G Available Again In The UK

It looks like Google now has the 3G version of the Nexus 7 tablet back in stock in their UK Google Play Store, as Google are now listing the device as shipping within 3 to 5 days.

The Nexus 7 with 3G comes with 32GB of built in storage and retails for £239, there are also the WiFi versions of the Nexus 7 in both 16GB and 32GB of storage available in the Play Store.

Nokia Asha 205 Dual SIM Mobile Phone Announced (Video)

Nokia has added another new mobile phone to their Asha range with the launch of the Nokia Asha 205, which comes with a QWERTY keyboard and a dedicated Facebook button.

The Nokia Asha 205 features a 2.4 inch display, there is also a VGA camera and a microSD card slot which can take up to 32GB microSD cards, plus Bluetooth 2.1, and a choice of two versions one with a standard SIM card slot and one with a dual SIM card slot.

Huawei Ascend G330 Headed To The UK In December

Huawei has announced a new version of their Ascend smartphone, the Huawei Ascend G330 and it will launch in the UK next month with mobile carrier Talk Talk and it comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and Huawei’s HAP 5.1 UI.

The Huawei Ascend G330 comes with a 4 inch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, processing is provided by Qualcomm MSN82225 Snapdragon processor and there is also 512MB of RAM.

It looks like Microsoft may be getting ready to release their Windows Phone 7.8 update for existing Windows Phone devices, we had previously heard that it would land some time early next year.

Now it would appear that Microsoft may be ready to launch the Windows Phone 7.8 update in China, as Microsoft’s greater China Vice President has told a Chinese publication that the update will be launched in China in the ‘coming weeks’.

Apple Wants To Add More Devices To Samsung Lawsuit

Last week we heard that Samsung had decided to add more devices to their lawsuit against Apple, which included Apple’s new iPad Mini, and now Apple has filed a motion with the court to add six more Samsung devices to their lawsuit.

AT&T Offering Refurbished iPhone 5

Apple’s iPpone 5 normally retails for $199.99 when you take out a new two year contract with US mobile carrier AT&T, and now the company has started offering refurbished iPhone 5s on their website.

It seems that AT&T are only offering around $50 of each model of the refurbished iPhone 5, with prices starting at $149.99, although they did offer some last week for $99.99.

Nexus 4 Tweak Allows The Handset To Run On Some LTE Networks (Video)

Samsung Galaxy Note II Passes 5 Million Sales Worldwide (video)

Google Nexus 4 Headed To Three UK December 13th

UK mobile carrier Three has announced that they will be offering the new Google Nexus 4 on their network in the UK from the 13th of December, the device will be available on their monthly contracts and also on pay as you go.

Three will be offering the Google Nexus 4 for £29 up front on their £35 per month One Plan, and they will also off the handset on their pay as you go contracts for £399.99, which is more expensive than you can buy the device direct from Google on their Google Play Store.
