Mad Catz has announced that it is now shipping a new Tritton Pro+ 5.1 Surround Headset for Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers. The new headset utilizes Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound technology and has four individual drivers in each ear cup. The large over the ear headset is designed for long wearing comfort.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 4G LTE tablet coming to Sprint on November 11

Sprint has announced that it will be getting its first 4G LTE tablet on November 11. The tablet is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and it will sell for $549.99. The tablet can be activated on Sprint’s new month-to-month tablet rate plans for LTE tablets.

iPad Mini vs Nexus 7 Drop Test (Video)

Apple launched their new iPad Mini earlier today, and the guys over at Android Authority, thought it would be a good idea to test out how the new iPad mini does in some drop tests.

It isn’t exactly scientific, but both the iPad Mini and Google’s Nexus 7 were both dropped from the same height, have a look at the video below to see what happened.

Sony Xperia Odin Smartphone Render Appears Online

We have already seen some photos of Sony’s new Xperia Odin Android smartphone, and now we have what appears to be an official render of the handset, which you can see below.

The Sony Xperia Odin C650X is rumored to come with a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, and will also come with 2GB of RAM, plus the Odin is also expected to feature a 5 inch display.

iPad Mini Launch Drawing Smaller Crowds

Apple launched their new iPad Mini today, and according to a recent report by Reuters, the launch of the iPad Mini seems to have drawn smaller crowds than previous launch events.

Apple’s iPhone launch event is normally the one that draws the largest crowds, with some people queuing for days to get their hands on the new iPhone, for the iPad Mini launch there were around 50 people queuing at the Apple Store in Sydney, Australia, there are normally hundreds when a new iPhone is launched.

Android Jelly Bean Now On 2.7 Percent Of Devices

Google has released its latest Android distribution figures, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is now on 2.7 percent of Android devices, this is up from 1.8 percent when the figures were last published.

Android $.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is now on a total of 25.8 percent of devices, this has increased from 23.7 percent last month, Honeycomb is on just 1.8 percent of all Android devices.

Apple’s new iPad Mini has launched today, and the smaller iPad features a 7.9 inch multi-touch display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, the device also features a dual core Apple A5x processor.

It looks like Apple’s new iPad Mini comes with a smaller 5-watt adapter that is bundled with the iPhone 5, rather than the 12-watt adapter which comes with Apple’s full sized iPad.

HTC One X+ Gets Unboxed (Video)

HTC’s new HTC One X+ smartphone recently launched in the UK, the handset comes with a 4.7 inch HD multi-touch display, processing is provided bu a quad core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, and it features Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The guys over at Clove have put together an unboxing video of the new HTC One X+ which you can see below, and it gives us a look at some of the features on the HTC One X+.

Google To Launch Physical Google Wallet Cards

It looks like Google has plans to expand it Google Wallet payment system beyond mobile phones, according to some leaked details Google is getting ready to launch a physical Google Wallet card.

The Google Wallet card will work in a similar way to a credit or debit card, and will allow you to make payments in a similar way, although it isn’t clear as yet on how funds will be loaded onto the cards.

According to a recent report by IDC, Google’s Android platform has claimed 75 percent of the smartphone market for the third quarter of 2012, this is for worldwide sales of smartphones.

IDC says that a total of 136 million smartphones running Google’s Android OS were shipped in the third quarter of 2012, this compares to a total of 26.9 million iOS smartphones shipped by Apple, giving them a 14.9 percent share for the same period.

Yesterday we heard that the Judge who had originally ordered Apple to publish an apology to Samsung on Apple’s website and also the UK press, was less than impressed with the apology that Apple has published on their website.

Apple were then ordered by the Judge to publish a new apology to Samsung, and now Apple has published its apology in the UK press, you can see a photo below of the apology that appeared in one newspaper below.

Motorola and US Cellular have announced a new Android smartphone, the Motorola Electrify M, and it comes with a 4.3 inch display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels.

The Motorola Electrify M features a dual core 1.5GHz processor and it will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, although Motorola has said that it will get an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update in the future.

T-Mobile announced recently that they would start selling the new LG Optimus L9 on their network in the US, the handset is now available for $79.99 up front when you sign up to a new two year contract with T-mobile.

This price includes a $50 mail in rebate, and the LG Optimus L9 comes with android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and featires a 4.7 inch qHD multi-touch display.

We first heard about the new Samsung Stratosphere II back in August, the handset is headed to Verizon Wireless, and now a new press shot of the handset has been leaked an posted on Twitter by @evleaks.

The Samsung Stratosphere II is rumored to come with a 4 inch Super AMOLED display, it will feature a slide out QWERTY keyboard and is also rumored to come with a dual core Snapdragon S4 processor.

Apple has released a new software update for their iOS devices, the latest version is iOS 6.0.1 and it comes with a number of bug fixes for iOS devices including specific ones for the iPhone 5 and new iPod Touch.

You can see full details of what is included in the iOS 6.0.1 update below, if you are using an iPhone 5 you will need to first install an updater application to fix a bug with OTA updates.

Samsung has announced that they have managed to sell over three million of their new Samsung Galaxy Note II smartphone, and it took Samsung just over a month to reach the three million milestone.

It looks like Samsung’s new Galaxy Note II smartphone is going to be even more successful than their original Galaxy Note device, and it certainly has become a hit amongst Android fans.

Apple has released the first new version of its mobile operating system to developers since the release of iOS 6.0, the new version is iOS 6.1 beta and it comes with a build number of 10B5095f.

iOS 6.1 Beta comes with a number of bug fixes and new features, which include improvements on how developers can use Apple’s new Maps service within their apps, as well as improvement to things like Passbook and also some updates to Safari.

Yesterday we saw a teardown of Apple’s new iPad Mini, and now the guys from iFixit have decided to take thier screwdrivers to Apple’s new iPad 4, and we have some photos of what is inside the fourth generation iPad.

The iFixit team have given the iPad a repair score of 2 out of 10, which means that this is one of the most difficult devices to repair, have a look at the photos below.

As well as launching their new iPad Mini, Apple has also started selling their new fourth generation iPad, which comes updated components from the iPad 3 that was launched earlier in the year.

The iPad 4 features the same Retina Display as the iPad 3, but it now comes with a faster A6X processor and also Apple’s new lightning dock connector, it is available from today in Apple’ stores in the UK, US and other countries.

Apple has started selling their new iPad Mini, the iPad Mini is now available at Apple stores here in the UK, and will go on sale in the US later today as well as other countries.

The iPad Mini comes with a 7.9 inch multi-touch display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, and a dual core Apple A5x processor, it measures 7.87 inches tall by 5.3 inches wide and 0.28 inches deep and weighs in at just 0.68 pounds.
