Sony Xperia V Gets Jelly Bean Update

The Sony Xperia V, aka the LT25i, has finally received an operating system update which takes the version number to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. So what does the latest Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update bring to this handset? Well, your firmware version will be upgraded to version 9.1.A.0.490, which (Just so you are ware) is slightly different from firmware number 9.1.A.0.489 which began to arrive on the Sony Xperia T last week.

Dead Space 3 Demo Nears 2 Million Downloads, Pre-orders Beating Dead Space 2

Electronic Arts has revealed that their new Dead Space 3 game is beating expected targets in the run up to the games launch tomorrow in the US and Friday in Europe, with pre-orders already beating that of the previous Dead Space 2 game.

The Dead Space 3 demo is also nearing the 2 million figure for downloads, which EA is hoping will entice gamers to help the series break 5 million copies sold. Watch the game trailer after the jump to see it in action.

Asus announced their new MeMo Pad 7 Android tablet at CES last month, today we heard about the new Asus MeMo Pad 10 and now Asus have released a promo video, which you can see below for the 7 inch tablet.

The Asus MeMo Pad will come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and it features a 1GHZ VIA WM8950 processor and a Mali-400 GPU, plus a 7 inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.

Samsung Sends Out MWC 2013 Invites

Samsung are expected to announce a number of new devices at this years Mobile World Congress, and now they have sent out invites although not for a press conference, instead to come and visit Samsung at the show.

You can see the invite from Samsung below, and the company is expected to hold a special Samsung Unpacked event in March where they are rumored to be announcing their new Galaxy S4 smartphone.

Smartphone Force Feedback Technology Unveiled By Researchers (video)

Researchers at Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam, Germany have unveiled a new technology which could revolutionise the way we play games and interact with our smartphones.

The development team has this month unveiled a new Smartphone Force Feedback Technology that uses electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to mimic signals that the central nervous system sends to activate muscle groups, rather than using motors to power the vibrating “rumblers” used in game-console controllers.

Three UK’s 4G LTE To Be Launched Without Price Premium

At the moment here in the UK there is only one option for 4G LTE, EE which is a collaboration between Orange and T-Mobile, this will change this summer when the other mobile carriers launch their own 4G LTE services.

So far 4G LTE has been more expensive than standard data contracts, although this may change when UK mobile carrier Three launches their 4G LTE service in the UK as they have premised that the service will be available ‘as standard with no price premium’.

Skyrim PS3 DLCs Arriving Next Week, Launch Dates Confirmed

Last month Bethesda announced that the PC version of  Skyrim Dragonborn would be arriving on Steam February 5th 2013, and also confirmed that their PS3 DLCs would also be launching sometime in February.

Now Bethesda has confirmed specific dates for the arrival of the highly anticipated Skyrim PS3 DLCs and announced that Skyrim Dragonborn for PS3 will be out on 12th Feb, Skyrim Hearthfire for PS3 on 19th Feb and Skyrim Dawnguard for PS3 on 26th Feb.

Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie Appears In Leaked Documents

We have been hearing some rumors for a while that the next major release of Google’s mobile OS will be Android 5.0 and it will be called Key Lime Pie, and now references to Key Lime Pie have appeared in some leaked documents from Qualcomm.

The leaked documents were originally posted online by Android Police, who have now removed them at the request of Qualcomm, and they showed a release date for Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie of the Spring.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 GT-P3200 will come with Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, this is the 7 or 8 inch model of the new Galaxy Tab 3, which is rumored to come with a HD display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.

HTC M7 Confirmed By HTC CEO (Video)

HTC’s new flagship Android smartphone which we have seen leaked over the last few weeks is rumored to be called the HTC M7, and now we have confirmation that this will be the devices name from HTC’s CEO Peter Chou.

The video below shows the HTC CEO at the HTC year end party chanting the words ‘HTC M7′, so we guess that is pretty good confirmation that the HTC M7 actually exists.

Super Meat Boy Devs Explain Origins Of New Game Mew-Genics
