| Samsung Galaxy S4 Sales To Hit 100 Million Units According To Analyst Posted: 14 Feb 2013 11:07 AM PST Samsung has had great success with its Galaxy S3 smartphone the company is estimated to have sold over 60 million Galaxy S3 devices and now according to a recent report, Samsung has even bigger plans for the Galaxy S4. According to Jeffries & Company Analyst Peter Misek, Samsung has plans to sell over 100 million units of their Samsung Galaxy S4, which we are expecting to be unveiled at a Samsung Unpacked event on the 15th of March.

| NVIDIA Tegra 4 To Ship In July Posted: 14 Feb 2013 08:26 AM PST It looks like we may have some details on when NVIDIA will release their new Tegra 4 processor, according to a recent report NVIDIA will start shipping the Tegra 4 to manufacturers in July. The news comes from NVIDIA’s CEO Jen-Hsun Huang who announced the news in a recent financial conference call and it would appear that NVIDIA’s Project Shield may launch around September of this year.

| Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Leaked At Samsung Event Posted: 14 Feb 2013 08:13 AM PST Samsung are expected to show off their new Galaxy Note 8.0 at Mobile World Congress later this month, we have already seen a leaked photo of the device, and now it would appear that Samsung may have actually leaked this new tablet at a recent press event. Yesterday Samsung launched their new Garnet Red Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, the first photo below was taken at the event, and shows a Galaxy Note device in the background, the second picture below is the leaked photo of the Galaxy Note 8.0.

| LG Sells 15 Million L Series Android Smartphones Posted: 14 Feb 2013 07:59 AM PST Yesterday LG announced its new range of L Series Android smartphones, which include the LG L3 II, the LG L5 II and the LG L7 II, and now LG has announced that they have sold over 15 million handsets in the original L series range. LG first launched their L Series range of smartphones at Mobile World Congress in February of 2012 and they will now be showing off their new L Series II at this years Mobile World Congress later this month.

| Valve Lays Off Unknown Number Of People Including Hardware Engineer Posted: 14 Feb 2013 07:45 AM PST Valve hardware engineer Jeri Ellsworth has been laid off from Valve along with around 25 other staffers. Following the announcement of Steam’s Big Picture Mode, Ellsworth was reportedly brought on to work on Valve’s hardware ambitions, starting with the company’s take on a controller for what eventually became the Steam Box. Not much is known about the motivation behind the lay-offs, but former employees cite a ”great cleansing” and “large decisions” behind the scenes. In an unusual turn for Valve, the firings don’t seem to be performance-related, but the result of shifting direction. | iOS 6 Now On 80 Percent Of Devices According To Report Posted: 14 Feb 2013 06:21 AM PST Apple announced last month that there were now more than 300 million iOS devices running iOS 6, and now according to a recent report iOS 6 and above is running on a total of 83 percent of all iOS devices. According to the report iOS 6.1 is on 42.4 percent of devices, iOS 6.0 on 30 percent of devices and iOS 6.1.1 on 2.2 percent of devices, the remainder is split up between iOS 5 and below.

| Nokia Denies Leaked Windows 8 Tablet Posted: 14 Feb 2013 05:58 AM PST Yesterday we saw a photo of what was believed to be a Nokia Windows 8 tablet, the photo can be seen below and it was taken at a Nokia event in Pakistan, Nokia has now announced that the tablet pictured is not a Nokia device. You can see the statement from Nokia below, who claim that the photo of the device is actually of a generic Windows 8 tablet alongside a Nokia Windows Phone and not a Nokia device.

Prior to that Apple released its new iPhone’s around June or July, this was the case with the original iPhone which was released in June of 207, the iPhone 3G in July of 2008, the iPhone 3GS on June of 2009 and the iPhone 4 in June of 2010.

Samsung ended up in first place at the end of 2013 and Apple ended up in second place in 2012, Samsung was top overall for both mobile phone and also smartphone sales.

| iOS 6.1 Bug Lets iPhone Lockscreen Be Bypassed (Video) Posted: 14 Feb 2013 04:17 AM PST Apple recently released their new iOS 6.1 software update, we have already reported on a number of bugs with iOS 6 and now it would appear that another bug has been found that will let you bypass the lockscreen on the iPhone running iOS 6. The video below shows how this can be done, and it seems pretty simple, basically you have to first pretend to turn your iPhone off, then make an aborted emergency call and a few more steps and you have full access to the device, have a look at the video below.

| Google Files A Patent Lawsuit Against BT In The UK Posted: 14 Feb 2013 03:55 AM PST Google and Motorola Mobility, which is now owned by Google has filed a patent lawsuit against UK telecom provider BT (British Telecom), the move comes more than a year after BT filed a lawsuit against Google. BT sued Google over 6 separate patents last year related to mobile technology, and now Google is suing BT for 4 patents also related to mobile technology, you can see a statement from Google’s Niki Fenwick below.

| HTC G2 Screenshot Shows Simpler HTC Sense 5 Posted: 14 Feb 2013 03:35 AM PST We have already seen a number of photos of HTC’s new custom user interface, HTC Sense 5 which is expected to launch with the HTC M7 at HTC’s press event on the 19th of this month. What we have seen so far is that HTC Sense 5 will feature a cleaner and simpler design than the previous version, and now a screenshot of the user interface has been leaked which is reportedly from the new HTC G2.

Now Brazilian regulators have made a decision on the trademark for the iPhone name in the country, and it is not good news for Apple as they have ruled in favor of Gradiente Electronica SA.
