HTC M4, G2 To Be Announced With M7 On February 19?

We have a strong suspicion that HTC will launch its flagship M7 Android smartphone on February 19, but now it looks like the M7 may not be the only device making its debut at the show. UnwiredView has learned that two new devices called the M4 and G2 could either be unveiled at the February 19 event or during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later in the month.

Samsung Galaxy Note Getting Android Jelly Bean As Early As March 1

We know that Samsung Galaxy Note users have been waiting for Android Jelly Bean. It was confirmed in December that the Galaxy Note would be receiving Jelly Bean, but the big question is when. Well, we may have some news. According to a leak on the Samsung Ukraine website, its Galaxy Note is expected to start getting Android Jelly Bean on March 1.

Antarctic research lab can crawl over the ice

Being a researcher trapped in the cold and desolate Arctic just got a little more bearable. The newly designed Halley VI Antarctic research station will open next week and it has some cool features. Since fixed structures typically struggle on the frigid continent due to moving ice and the threat of snow-burial, it can move.

Twitter hacked, user data for as many as 250,000 may have been accessed

It seems like hackers never rest. On Friday, Twitter announced on its blog that it detected unusual access patterns which led to identifying unauthorized access to user data. Twitter managed to stop one attack, but after deeper investigation they found that attackers might have gained access to the usernames, passwords and email addresses along with session data, for as many as 250,000 users.

Google Chromebooks now in 2,000 schools

There sure is a lot of fancy book-learning happening with Google Chromebooks these days. According to Google, its Chromebooks are now in use in 2,000 schools. That’s twice as many as there were three months ago. So Googles education initiative is chugging along nicely.

Minecraft Makes Mojang $237 Million In Revenue For 2012

Mojang, purveyors of some of the best voxel-based gaming money can buy have made almost a quarter of a million in revenue last year. Granted, only $91.96 million of that was profit and that’s before the tax man has had his say, but that still has to be a multiple of the sum profits of every other indie game made in the last five years.
