Sony PS Vita Price Drop Announced Posted: 18 Feb 2013 12:58 AM PST Sony has today announced that they are reducing the price of their new Sony Vita handheld gaming console down to 19,980 yen for both the 3G and Wi-Fi versions of the Vita. Previously the Sony PS Vita was priced at 30,000 yen for the 3G version and 25,000 yen for the Wi-Fi handheld, as well as the price cut the PS Vita is also now sold with a 7-day free trial of PS Plus, and Sony’s Torne TV service until the end of March. LG Optimus G Pro With 5.5 Inch Display Headed To The US Posted: 18 Feb 2013 12:56 AM PST Last week LG unveiled a new version of their LG Optimus G Pro which comes with a larger 5.5 inch display than the one unveiled in Japan a while back, and now it would appear that the device is headed to the US. LG has now confirmed that the LG Optimus G Pro with a 5.5 inch full HD display with be launch in the US some time in quarter 2, so we guess from April onwards, there are no details on an exact date as yet. Bungie’s Destiny To Require Always On Internet Posted: 17 Feb 2013 01:58 PM PST Bungie’s official reveal of its monolithic project also comes with a few technical caveats. The game is hitting all current consoles (PC is unconfirmed) and has a planned life cycle of 10 years, so will presumably be transitioning to the next generation of consoles while maintaining cross platform play. But considering Activision’s history, it’s not that surprising to learn the game can only be played with a permanent connection to the Internet. Destiny: Halo Creator Bungie’s New Project Revealed Posted: 17 Feb 2013 01:38 PM PST Bungie has finally revealed the project it left Microsoft and shacked up with Activision to build back in 2007. And having left a franchise it created and nurtured into an iconic industry presence over the course of a decade to make it, this should be something truly special. The only problem is they haven’t actually shown anything. Details are light, as although Bungie has been working on the game for years only concept art was actually shown, with the high concept of the game explained by executives.
