| Apple’s App Store Hits A Massive 40 Billion Downloads Posted: 07 Jan 2013 06:08 AM PST Apple has announced the latest milestone for its App Store, the Apple App Store has now reached a massive 40 billion downloads since it was originally introduced, and what is even more interesting is that almost half of these downloads were on the last year alone. Apple has said that there nearly 20 billion app downloads in 2012, they also shared some other information about the app store which include that there are now more than 500 million active accounts using the app store.

| Windows Phone 8 Devices ‘Coming Soon’ To Sprint Posted: 07 Jan 2013 06:01 AM PST Microsoft’s new Windows Phone 8 devices are available with the majority of the major mobile carriers in the US, which include AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, and now US carrier Sprint has announced that Windows Phone 8 smartphones are headed to their network shortly. Sprint have not given any specific details on when the first Windows Phone 8 smartphones will be available in their network, although we suspect we wont have to wait too much longer to find out.

The HP Pavilion Sleekbook comes with Microsoft’s Windows 8 and retails for $479, it will be available some time next month, there is also a more powerful model with a touchscreen display.

| HTC Announces Its Quarter Four Profits Posted: 07 Jan 2013 02:31 AM PST Smartphone maker HTC has been having a tough time over the last year, and now the company has announced its latest financial figures for their last quarter of 2012. HTC posted a profit of just $34.5 million for the final quarter of 2012, this is their lowest quarterly profit since back in 2004, and their third quarter of 2012 was $99 million higher than the latest quarter.

| HTC One SV Headed To Cricket Wireless Posted: 07 Jan 2013 02:18 AM PST US mobile carrier Cricket Wireless has announced that they will be offering the new HTC One SV smartphone in the US, the HTC One SV is powered by a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, there is also a 4.3 inch inch Super LCD 2 touchscreen display and dual cameras. Up front there is a 1.6 megapixel camera for video chat, plus a rear facing 5 megapixel f/2.0 backside illuminated camera with 1080p HD video and Panorama.

| Samsung Galaxy S4 To Launch In May (Rumor) Posted: 07 Jan 2013 02:11 AM PST Last week we heard a rumor that Samsung may show off their new Galaxy S4 smartphone at this week CES, although it would appear that we may have to wait a little longer according to the latest information. Samsung’s official Facebook page for Lebanon has apparently announced that Samsung will launch the new Galaxy S4 in May of this year, although it would appear that the post has now been removed from Facebook.
