The big ticket items is his famous blood-stained sock, which he wore during the 2004 World Series, which should fetch more than $100 000.

| Codemasters Hit With Redundancies, Up To 80 May Be Affected Posted: 18 Jan 2013 05:57 AM PST Codemasters has confirmed it will be jettisoning a number of jobs. While the company maintains its F1 and GRID franchises will not be affected, most of the job cuts will seemingly be made at its Southam headquarters, where its GRID staff are housed, with the Online team hit hardest.

| Sony’s Latest CES Devices Being Made (Video) Posted: 18 Jan 2013 01:31 AM PST Sony announced a number of devices at this years CES, which include the new Sony Xperia Z smartphone and also the new Cybershot RX1, and now they have put together a video of the devices being put together. The video below shows three devices being put together in a sort of reverse teardown, and as well as the Sony Xperia Z and the Cybershot RX1 it also includes one of their new HD camcorders.

| Google Cancelling The Nexus Q (Rumor) Posted: 18 Jan 2013 01:20 AM PST Some of our readers will remember the Google Nexus Q that was announced at last years Google I/O, it looks like Google may be cancelling the device as it is now shown as ‘not for sale at this time’ on Google’s Play Store. Google launched the Nexus Q at last years Google I/O and then shortly after it was launched Google stopped selling the device, although people who pre-ordered it received the Nexus Q.

| MediaFire Launches Android App With 50GB Of Free Storage Posted: 18 Jan 2013 01:01 AM PST MediaFire has launched a new app for Google’s Android platform, and the cloud storage service is offering users of the app 50GB of free storage, the app is also available for Apple’s iOS platform. The MediaFire service is supported by adverts and there is a limit on file sizes of 200mb, and you can send your files stored on the service to other apps and view certain files types from within the app.

| LG Optimus G Smartphone Sells Over 1 Million Units Posted: 18 Jan 2013 12:50 AM PST LG has announced today that it has sold more than 1 million of its LG Optimus G smartphones, which rolled out in September to Korea and later to other countries during October 2012. Although the LG Optimus G smartphone has yet to arrive in China as yet and will probably significantly add to the already impressive figures. Korean news agency Yonhap also reports that LG sold 7 million smartphones in the third quarter of 2012, and is expected to sell in excess of 45 million smartphones in 2013. According to the guys over at Sammobile, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 will come with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and the device will feature a 8 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.

| Google To Build £1 Billion HQ In London Posted: 18 Jan 2013 12:19 AM PST Google is building a new headquarters here in the UK, the search giant has purchased a 2.4 acre site which is situated between Kings Cross and St Pancras Stations in London. Google will be building a seven and eleven story building on the site, and the total cost of the build plus the land is expected to be around £1 billion, and the project is expected to be finished by some time in 2016.

| Kim Dotcom’s Mega Will Offer 50GB Of Free Storage Posted: 18 Jan 2013 12:08 AM PST Kim Dotcom has announced on Twitter that his new Mega service will offer users 50GB of free storage, which is a massive amount compared to what is offered by companies like Dropbox, Google Drive and Microsoft;s SkyDrive. Dotcom also announced he is working to brings users files from Megaupload over to Mega, although how he will actually do this remains to be seen because of his current legal battle with the US Government.

| Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Official Rom For Motorola Atrix 2 Leaked Posted: 17 Jan 2013 11:53 PM PST Motorola had previously said that they would be updating the Atrix 2 to Android Jelly Bean, Motorola changed their minds on this last year and instead offered owners of the device a $100 credit towards the purchase of a new Motorola device. Motorola were obviously working on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the Atrix 2, but decided not to release it, however there is good news for owners of the device as the official Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM for the Atrix 2 has been leaked.
