| LinkedIn Now Has More Than 200 Million Members Posted: 09 Jan 2013 06:51 AM PST LinkedIn has announced their latest milestone, they now have more than 200 million members around the world in a total of 200 different countries and 19 languages, and they are adding around two new members to the site every second. LinkedIn also released some details on the top five countries by the amount of members, with the US at number one with 74 million members, 2nd is India with 18 million members, and in joint 3rd is Brazil and the UK with 11 million members each, finally in Canada with a total of 7 million members.

| Verizon Sold 9.8 Million Smartphones In Quarter 4 Of 2012 Posted: 09 Jan 2013 06:15 AM PST Yesterday AT&T announced that they had sold a total of 10 million smartphones in the fourth quarter of 2012, and now Verizon has announced their smartphone sales for the same quarter. Verizon has announced that they sold a total of 9.8 million smartphones in the last quarter of 2012, with a ‘higher mix of Apple smartphones’ although no specific details were given on just how many iPhones they sold.

| LG Announces The World’s First Curved OLED TV Posted: 09 Jan 2013 06:04 AM PST LG has shown off a new OLED TV at this years CES, although this one is a little different than your standard HDTC as it features a curved OLED screen, and offers supports for Cinema 3D. The LG EA9800 features a 55 inch curved OLED display, and it uses proprietary WGRB technology, with a four color pixel system which includes a white pixel as well as the standard red, green and blue pixels.

| Samsung Expecting Record Fourth Quarter Profits Of $8.3 Billion Posted: 09 Jan 2013 03:34 AM PST Samsung had a great year in 2012, with their Galaxy range of smartphones and tablets becoming incredibly popular, and now the company has announced that they are expecting to post record profits for the fourth quarter of 2012. Samsung have revised their projected profits for the fourth quarter of 2012, and have said that they are estimating record profits of 8.8 trillion Korean won, which works out at around $8.3 billion US dollars.

| Microsoft To Replace Messenger With Skype On March 15th Posted: 09 Jan 2013 01:16 AM PST Microsoft has announced that they will be retiring their Messenger service on the 15th of March 2013, users of the service will have to move over to Skype, which Microsoft acquired back in May of 2011 in a deal worth $8.5 billion. Microsoft’s Messenger has a total of 100 million users around the world, and Microsoft has now sent out emails to their users asking them to update Messenger to Skype.
