Amazon has launched the store to circumvent Apple’s fees for purchases within their apps, which are around 30 percent, and you can purchase a track from the MP3 web app store on your iPhone or iPod Touch, and then play it immediately with Amazon’s Cloud Player app.

| EE To Close 78 Retail Stores In The UK Posted: 17 Jan 2013 05:59 AM PST UK mobile carrier EE, which is a collaboration between UK mobile operators T-Mobile and Orange has announced that it will be closing a total of 78 stores in the UK, which should come as no surprise. EE is closing the stores due to the fact that there are a number of stores close to each other, we presume one would have been a T-Mobile store and the other a Orange store which would have been situated near each other prior to the two companies joining forces.

| Sony Xperia Tablet Z Coming 22nd January (Rumor) Posted: 17 Jan 2013 05:09 AM PST Yesterday we saw some leaked specifications for the new Sony Xperia Tablet Z, and now it would appear that the device will launch on the 22nd of January, according to details that were posted to NTT DoCoMo’s website, the details have now been removed from their site. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is expected to feature a 10.1 inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, processing will apparently be provided by a quad core Snapdragon S4 processor and it will come with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

| Dutch Court Says Samsung Galaxy Tab Does Not Infringe On iPad Posted: 17 Jan 2013 03:45 AM PST Samsung and Apple are in the middle of a number of lawsuits around the world, and now a Dutch court has ruled in Samsung’s favor, a court in The Hague has decided that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab tablet does not infringe on the design of Apple’s iPad. The Dutch court ruled that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, Galaxy Tab 8.9 and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 do not infringe on Apple’s design for the iPad, the court also looked at recent rulings from the British court which also ruled in Samsung’s favor.

The guys over at Tech Radar have managed to get their hands on some more slides like the ones we saw yesterday which are part of RIM’s internal training documents and we get to find out some more information about the Z10.

| Samsung To Start Pusing Out Exynos Bug Fix In US Posted: 17 Jan 2013 03:09 AM PST Samsung recently started pushing out a software update for some of their Galaxy devices in the UK and Europe, relating to the exploit found on their Exynos processor and now it would appear that the update is also going to be pushed out to device in the US shortly. According to the guys over at Android Central, devices running the Exynos processor should be getting the update soon with Sprint announcing the update will be available in the next 30 days.

| T-Mobile Rolls Out Nexus 4 To All Of Its Retail Stores Posted: 17 Jan 2013 01:53 AM PST Google’s Nexus 4 smartphone is an incredibly popular device, the handset is still sold out at the Google Play store, and Google has had a hard time of keeping up with the demand for the device. US mobile carrier T-Mobile has been offering the Google Nexus 4 at some of its stores, and now the company has announced that they are making the Nexus 4 available in all of their retail stores in the US.

According to a recent report by the WSJ, Asus are thinking about releasing devices that will run Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8, and they are even thinking about releasing a Windows Phone powered Padfone.

| 1,600 Businesses Sign Up To RIM’s BlackBerry 10 Training Program Posted: 17 Jan 2013 01:38 AM PST RIM will launch its next generation mobile OS, BlackBerry 10 on the 30th of January, and it would appear that BlackBerry 10 is already receiving a good response from the business community. RIM has told the LA Times that more that 1,600 businesses in the US have signed up to their BlackBerry 10 training program, the training sessions will take place before the launch of BlackBerry 10.
