| Dungeon Siege Studio Betting Farm On Kickstarter For Wildman Posted: 14 Jan 2013 11:31 AM PST Gas Powered Games, known for huge, ambitious games like Dungeon Siege and Supreme Commander wants to make what sounds very much like a huge, ambitious game. GPG is launching a $1.1 million Kickstarter to fund Wildman, an action RPG/RTS/MOBA with at least one redundant acronym. How the game differs from previous GPG’s previous RTS/MOBA Demigod is not yet clear.

| PlayStation Store Getting Speed Boosting Patch Posted: 14 Jan 2013 10:45 AM PST After the touted launch of its new PlayStation Store layout, Sony is still plugging away at improvements designed to make the transition for players still pining after the old store a bit smoother. The 1.0.2 version of the Store app does reportedly increase browsing speeds from the current version, though whether it brings the experience back up to par is not clear.

| Diablo 3 Patch 1.0.7 Dueling Detailed By Blizzard Posted: 14 Jan 2013 10:28 AM PST The long-awaited Dueling feature is finally coming to Diablo 3, though possibly in a much more stripped down fashion than you’d expect. A new area, the truly Blizzardly named Scorched Chapel will serve as backdrop to the proceedings and an NPC named Nek the Brawler will need to be found by players to initiate duels.

Samsung showed off some new displays at this years CES, one which is scheduled to launch in quarter one of 2013 is a new 4.99 inch full HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 440 pixels per inch.

The 3D camera is small enough to be swallowed by the patient, and provides Doctors with a quicker way to check for signs of Barrett’s esophagus, where the esophagus accumulates abnormal changes thanks to acid reflux, putting patients at risk of esophageal cancer. | Electric Powered Car Ferry To Launch In Norway In 2015 Posted: 14 Jan 2013 03:55 AM PST We have featured a number of different electric powered cars here at Geeky Gadgets, but is think this may be the first electric powered car ferry, which has been developed by Seimens and Norwegian shipyard Fjellstrand. The electric powered car ferry will measure 80 meters long and will be capable of carrying up to 120 cars and 360 passengers, and will start carrying passengers in 2015.

| Samsung’s 84 Inch 4K TV Goes Up For Pre-order For $37,900 Posted: 14 Jan 2013 02:57 AM PST Samsung recently showed off their new 84 inch 4K TV at this years CES, and now the device has gone up for pre-order in Korea, although it looks like there are only a total of 77 units available to pre-order. The new Samsung 84 inch 4K TV is available to pre-order in Korea for a massive 40 million won, which works out at around $37,900, they also showed off two other models at CES a 95 inch model and a 110 inch model , we wonder how much those ones will cost.

| 15,000 Apps Submitted To BlackBerry 10 In Two Days Posted: 14 Jan 2013 02:49 AM PST RIM are getting ready for the launch of their BlackBerry 10 OS, which is scheduled to launch on the 30th of January, and it seems like app submissions for BlackBerry 10 are off to a good start, with over 15,000 application submitted in under two days. Developers have submitted a total of 15,000 applications for BlackBerry 10 in just 37.5 hours, although it would appear that they have some incentives to submit the applications.

| Nokia Lumia 505 Windows Phone 7.8 Handset Lands In Mexico Posted: 14 Jan 2013 01:21 AM PST Nokia has launched a new Windows Phone smartphone in Mexico, the Nokia Lumia 505, and the device is available exclusively through mobile carrier Telcel, the handset features similar specifications to the Lumia 510. The Nokia Lumia 505 comes with a 3.7-inch AMOLED display with a a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, and it comes with Windows Phone 7.8 instead of the latest Windows Phone 8.

| HTC M7 With HTC Sense 5.0 Leaked Posted: 14 Jan 2013 12:27 AM PST We heard about some leaked specifications on the new HTC M7 back in December, and now it would appear that we may have a photo of the handset along with a screenshot of HTC’s new Sense 5.0 UI. The following photos were posted to Weibo, and the device is rumored to feature a 4.7 inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and it will come with Android Jelly Bean.

| THQ To Be Sold In Pieces Only If Individual Bids Outweigh Whole Posted: 13 Jan 2013 11:32 AM PST Initially announcing it was to be sold whole to Clearlake Capital Group for $60 million, a judge gave other interested parties time to explore their options regarding THQ’s bankruptcy filing. A new ruling still leaves room for the possibility of individual studios and IP being sold to different bidders, but only if each bid exceeds the sum put forward so far.
