According to a recent report from the Telegraph, Apple will be ditching the iPhone 3GS after they launch the new iPhone 5, and their entry level model will become the iPhone 4.

| Apple Expected To Sell 10 Million iPhone 5s In First Week Posted: 06 Sep 2012 06:25 AM PDT Apple will officially announced the iPhone 5 at a special press conference on the 12th of September, and we told you earlier that Apple will put the iPhone 5 up for pre-order on the 14th of September, with an iPhone 5 release date of the 21st of September. Now according to a number of analysts, Apple is expected to sell between 4 million and 10 million iPhones in the first week, this is something which may not be too far fetched.

| Samsung To Be Investigated By Korean Regulators Due To Apple 3G Complaint Posted: 06 Sep 2012 05:50 AM PDT Samsung and Apple are currently engaged in various lawsuits around the world, Apple was recently awarded over $1 billion in damages from Samsung in their court case in the US. It looks like Apple doesn’t intend to stop there, as they have now apparently complained to the Korean regulators about Samsung and its licensing practices for its 3G patents.

| iPad Mini Back Casing Leaked (Rumor) Posted: 06 Sep 2012 05:39 AM PDT There have been quite a few rumors that Apple is going to release a smaller iPad, which has been given the name of the iPad Mini, and the device is rumored to feature a smaller 7 inch touchscreen display. Now some new photos have appeared online, which are reported to be of the back casing of the new iPad Mini, the photos were posted to a Chinese website, and spotted by the guys from Nowhereelse.fr. As you can see from the photos the back casing features a new smaller dock connector which we are expecting to be unveiled with the new iPhone 5 next week.

| FCC To Test Mobile Broadband Performance In The US Posted: 06 Sep 2012 05:07 AM PDT The FCC has announced that they will be testing out the performance of mobile broadband in the Unites States, the goal of the tests are to improve the overall performance of mobile broadband in the US and also hold the various mobile carriers to their advertised download speeds. The FCC has done this previously with normal broadband under their Measuring Broadband America Program, which has lead to ISPs actually starting to deliver the speeds they have advertised to consumers.

| New iPhone 5 Dock Connectors Will Only Be Available From Apple (Rumor) Posted: 06 Sep 2012 04:09 AM PDT Apple’s new iPhone 5 is expected to feature a new smaller dock connector, we have already seen a number of photos of the dock connector, this means that to use existing accessories with the new iPhone 5 you will need a special adapter. | Android 4.0 ICS Now On 20 Percent Of Devices Posted: 06 Sep 2012 03:29 AM PDT Google has announced its latest Android distribution figures, and the latest figures cover the two week period up until the 4th of September, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is now on 20.8 percent of all Android devices. This has increased from 15.9 percent back in August, next up is Android Honeycomb which is on 2.1 percent of devices, followed by Android Gingerbread which is on 57.2 percent of devices.

| Apple Says They Did Not Give FBI Any iOS UDIDs Posted: 06 Sep 2012 03:15 AM PDT Earlier in the week we heard that over 1 million Apple iOS UDIDs had been leaked by the hacker group AntiSec, the group claimed that the IDs came from a hacked FBI laptop. The FBI quickly denied that the information came from an FBI laptop, and now Apple has told All Things D, that they did not give any iOS device unique IDs to the FBI.

Now Google has release some up to date details, and their Android activations have had quite a jump since June as Google’s CEO Eric Schmidt has announced that they are activating over 1.3 million Android devices on a daily basis.
