Nintendo TVii Wii U Television And Movies Service Unveiled

At the currently ongoing Wii U press event Nintendo has revealed Wii U Release date and prices and the launch of a new TV service that will be arriving on their new Wii U games console in the form of TVii.

IonMonkey Javascript Arrives In Firefox 18 Bringing Extra Speed

Wii U Release Date And Prices Announced

As expected Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils Aime, announced in the press event scheduled for today in New York. that the new Nintendo Wii U will be arriving in the US on November Sunday 18th 2012, and Europe on November 30th 2012.

Earlier today Nintendo announced that the Wii U would be arriving in Japan on December the 8th for ¥26,250 around $337.

iPhone 5 FaceTime Over 3G On Vodafone UK Will Require A Custom Data Plan (Updated)

Details have been revealed on what some of the UK networks will be doing about FaceTime over 3G on Apple’s iPhone in the UK, according to a recent report from Wired, UK mobile carrier Vodafone will require that you have a VoIP add on to use the service on their network.

AT&T in the US is doing a similar thing, and has come under quite a nit of criticism for it, and no it looks like Vodafone in the UK is doing the same.

Nvidia Launches Two New Kepler Based GPUs, GeForce GTX 660 and GTX 650

Nvidia has today announced the launch of two new GPU cards to its range of products with the arrival of the GeForce 660 and 650 Kepler architecture based cards.

Apple Wins Rubber-Banding Patent Injunction Against Motorola In Germany

Apple recently won a lawsuit in the US where they were awarded more than $1 billion in damages against Samsung, and just a day after the announcement of Apple’s new iPhone 5, they have won another patent injunction, this time against Google’s Motorola in Germany.

Florian Mueller from Foss Patents has been following the trial in Germany, and he explains what this new ruling means for both Motorola and Apple.

Co-op Shooter Fuse Coming in 2013 from EA and Insomniac

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Ported To Intel Atom Devices

Intel has started testing out the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on smartphones that use Intel’s Atom processor, the new came from Intel’s vice president and general manager, Mike Bell.

Mike Bell announced at a recent developer conference that he is running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on his own Intel Atom based smartphone, and other employees at Intel are also testing it out on their Atom based devices.

iPhone 5 Headed To Cricket Wireless September 28th

US mobile carrier Cricket Wireless has announced that it will offering Apple’s new iPhone 5 on its network from Friday the 28th of September, Cricket Wireless is a pre-paid mobile carrier.

PS3 Cloud Game Save Storage Increased To 1GB With 4.25 PS3 Update

Sony has this week announced via their PlayStation Blog that PlayStation Plus members, will be receiving an increase in the amount of storage they have available to store saved games within the online cloud.

Apple’s new iPhone 5 is a 4G LTE capable device, and this will be one of the first 4G LTE capable smartphones available here in the UK, we heard earlier in the week that EE, which is a partnership between T-Mobile and Orange are launching the UK’s first 4G LTE capable mobile network.

Apple Files EarPods Trademark In Europe

Yesterday along with the launch of the new iPhone 5, Apple also announced its new headphones, which are called EarPods, and now according to a recent report from Patently Apple, the company has now filed a trademark in Europe for the EarPods name.

The Application was file overnight by Apple under the application number 01182532, and it was filed under the international trademark classes 9, 35, 38 and 41, which covers all hardware, phones, telecommunication services, digital audio and more.

Nikon D600 DSLR Officially Announced

Nikon has officially taken the wraps off its new D600 DSLR camera this week, announcing that their new D600 will come equipped with a 24.3 megapixel sensor, and remote control support via smartphones and tablets.

Samsung, HTC Attempt To Ban Apple’s iPhone 5 Using LTE Patents

Yesterday Apple announced their new iPhone, the iPhone 5 which is Apple’s first smartphone to come with 4G LTE, we had previously heard that Samsung may take legal action against Apple if the new iPhone 5 comes with LTE.

Now according to a recent report, both Samsung and HTC are already taking legal action against Apple and the iPhone 5, with an attempt to have sales of the iPhone 5 banned in Europe and the US.

iPhone 5 Nano SIM Card Gets Detailed

Apple’s new iPhone 5 uses a new smaller SIM card, the Nano SIM, which was recently accepted as an industry standard, we have already seen some photos of the new iPhone 5 Nano SIM card, and now we have a few more along with some more details.

The Nano SIM card measures just 12.3mm x 8.8mm, which is actually 40 percent smaller that the already small microSIM card, in the photo below the microSIM card is on the left and the new Nano SIM card is on the right.

iPhone 5 Poses For The Camera

We have seen lots of press shots of Apple’s new iPhone 5, and now John Bradley from Wired has posted some new photos of the iPhone 5, which shows the handset next to the iPhone 4S.

As you can see in the photo below the new iPhone 5 features a larger 4 inch touchscreen display with 1136 x 640 pixel resolution, the handset is also lighter than the iPhone 4S and thinner.

Apple iTunes App Store Offers 700k+ Apps, 250k iPad Apps

During yesterdays Apple Keynote event, that announced the arrival of Apple’s new iPhone 5 together with a newly designed, iPod Touch and Lightning connector.

Apple CEO Tim Cook also revealed that their iTunes App store now offers over 700,000 applications to iOS users with a staggering 250,000 of these also being available as dedicated iPad applications.

Chrome For Android Update Makes It Safer To Surf (video)

Google has this week rolled out a new update for its Chrome browser app for Android, adding a number of security features to help keep you safer as you surf.

New features within the Google Chrome browser update, have now strengthened the apps sandbox technology, stoping malicious mobile websites by restricting them so they cannot effect the entire Chrome browser.

Apple Announces Lightning To MicroUSB Adapter For iPhone 5 In Europe

Apple released a microUSB adapter for the iPhone 4S last year after European Commission decided that Apple had to offer a microUSB adapter for their smartphones and devices.

Now Apple has announced a new microUSB adapter, this will work with the new Lightning port on the new iPhone 5, iPod Touch and iPod Nano, and it is now available from Apple’s website.

Nintendo Wii U Lands In Japan December 8th For $355

Nintendo has finally released some details on a launch date and pricing for their new Wii U Console, at least for Japan, the Nintendo Wii U will go on sale in Japan on the 8th of December.

The Nintendo Wii U will retail for 26,250 Yen which works out at $335, and it comes with 2GB of memory, 1GB used for games and 1GB for System memory, it will also use 25GB games discs.

iOS 6 Golden Master Released To Developers

Yesterday along with the launch of the new iPhone 5 Apple also announced that they would shortly be releasing the next major build of their mobile OS, iOS 6.

iOS 6 will be released two days before the release of the iPhone 5 on the 19th of September, and Apple has now released the final build of iOS 6 to developers, iOS 6 Golden Master.

Apple announced the new iPhone 5 yesterday, at the launch event we had the US pricing for the handset and now we have some information on the iPhone 5 UK price.

Apple has increased the price of the iPhone 5 over last years iPhone 4S handset, last year prices of the iPhone 4S started at £499, the 16GB iPhone 5 will now retail for £529 here in the UK.

iPhone 5 Full Specifications

Yesterday Apple announced their sixth generation iPhone, the iPhone 5 and Apple has now revealed the iPhone 5′s full specifications on their website, along with a new design the iPhone 5 also has had a lot of hardware changes over the iPhone 4S.

The iPhone 5 features a 4 inch Retina display with a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels and 326ppi, it is taller than the previous model at 4.87 inches and 2.31 inches wide, it is also thinner than the iPhone 4S at just 0.3 inches thick, it weighs in at 112 grams.
