ReadyCase iPhone 5, 4S and 4 Case Is A Cool Idea

Apple’s iPhone 5 went on sale last week, and we have already seen a few iPhone 5 cases, and expect to see quite a few more over the next few weeks, this one is called the ReadyCase and it is an indiegogo project where the designers are trying to raise the money to put it into production.

The ReadyCase is designed to have multiple functions, and it comes with a number of built in features which include a headphone clip, a kickstand, a USB drive, and a lens ring for add on iPhone lenses, have a look at the video of it in action below.

Sound Taxi makes music from London city sounds

That black London cab that you see here turns the hustle and bustle of London into music. In other words it turns the audio chaos of a city in beautiful sounds. The Sound Taxi toured London last week in fact. It collects ambient sound pollution with a roof-mounted mic, then recycles it through production software and pumps out real-time mixes on those speakers.

Companies will do some pretty crazy things to pull their feet out of the fire. Especially if they face a large fine. Microsoft’s desire to avoid a fine combined with a power company’s strict electricity use rules resulted in the software company deliberately wasting millions of watts of power, according to the New York Times.

Pantech Vega R3 S4 Powered Smartphone Introduced

Pantech has just introduced a new smartphone to its range in the form of the Pantech Vega R3 which is equipped with a 5.3 inch Natural IPS Pro LCD touchscreen, with a 1280 x 720 resolution.

The Vega R3 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, supported by 2GB RAM and has an impressive 13 megapixel rear facing camera installed, running Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system.

iPhone 5 Vs Galaxy S3 Drop Test (Video)

Earlier today we saw a video of the iPhone 5 vs the Galaxy S3, the video earlier compared the performance on the two devices, and now we have another video comparing the two handsets.

Black Ops Arrives On The Mac This Week

Even though the Call of Duty : Black Ops game has been out on every other platform for some considerable time. Its publishers are now looking to launch the Black Ops title on to Apple Mac systems later this week.

Black Ops for Mac systems will be made available through Valve’s Steam games network and digital download store, and will be priced at $50, which will provide the original Black Ops game and the First Strike Content pack.

Toshiba Canvio Slim Portable HDD Announced

Toshiba has announced the launch of their latest portable hard drive, the Toshiba Canvio, which is designed to be light, slim and ultra portable, and it comes with 500GB of built in storage.

The Toshiba Canvio measures just 9mm thick and and comes with USB 3.0 and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0, it will work with both PCs and Macs.

Google Nexus 5 To Based On HTC’s Droid Incredible (Rumor)

We have been hearing a number of different rumors about Google’s next Nexus smartphone, the device is expected to be announced before the end of the year, and now according to a recent report the next Nexus device will be called the Google Nexus 5.

Netflix For Android Updated With New UI (Video)

Onkyo DS-A5 Dock Adds Airplay Support To Existing Music Systems

HTC To Release Larger Display Windows Phone 8 Devices

Starbucks Headed To Apple’s iOS 6 Passbook App

LG Optimus L7 Headed To Boost Mobile As LG Venice

Denon “Urban Ravers” Headphones Unveiled

Denon has this week taken the wraps off a new pair of headphones, which the company says they have designed for “Urban Ravers”.

Earlier today we heard that a number of iPhone 5 owners were reporting that the back casing on the device was easily scratched, and now it would appear that some iPhone 5 owners are reporting another issue.

Apple Wants The Samsung Galaxy S III Permanently Banned In The US

Earlier today we heard that Apple wants $707 million more in damages from Samsung in their US patent case, this is on top of the $1.05 billion that Apple has already been awarded by the court.

Now more details have been revealed that as well as the extra $707 million in damages, Apple is also seeking a permanent sales ban on Samsung’ flagship Android smartphone in the US, the new Samsung Galaxy S III.

Fake iPad Mini Appears On Video

We have been hearing rumors that Apple are going to launch a new iPad Mini before the end of the year, the new smaller device is reported to feature a 7 inch display.

Now it would appear that there are fake dummy iPad Mini units being sold in China, and the guys over at GizChina got their hands on one and put together the video below.

Verizon’s iPhone 5 Is GSM Unlocked (Video)

It looks like the new iPhone 5 on Verizon Wireless in the US is GSM unlocked, the guys over at iDownload Blog managed to test this out with an AT&T microSIM card which was cut down to fit the iPhone 5.

Verizon has confirmed that the iPhone 5 on their network is GSM unlocked, which means that you will be able to use the handset with another SIM card even when you are still under contract with Verizon.

Medal of Honor Warfighter Beta Arriving Exclusively On Xbox 360

EA has this week announced that they will be releasing an exclusive Medal of Honor Warfighter Beta download for Xbox 360 consoles, next month.

Gamers who download the new Medal of Honor Warfighter Beta, will also receive one hour’s worth of double XP when the game launches on October 26th for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

Verizon Galaxy S III Developer Edition Now Available

Samsung announced that they would be releasing a ‘Developer Edition‘ of their Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone on US mobile carrier Verizon Wireless, back in July, and it looks like the handset is now available.

The Samsung Galaxy S III Developer Edition on Verizon comes with a user unlockable bootloader, and it now available in the 16GB pebble blue version of the Galaxy S III.

Motorola’s Latest Advert Takes A Jab At Apple’s Maps

Apple’s new Map App seems to be coming under a lot of criticism since it was released with iOS 6 last Wednesday, and now it looks like Google and Motorola are trying to capitalize on criticism of Apple Maps.

Motorola, which is now owned by Google, posted the following photo to their Google+ page, showing Apple Maps on an iPhone next to Google Maps running on the new Droid Razr M, the description under Apple’s iPhone came with the hashtag ‘iLost’.

Google Has Over 7,000 People Working On Google Maps

We have been hearing quite a lot about Google Maps over the last week, Google Maps has been available on Apple’s iPhone since the first handset was released back in 2007.

Lenovo ThinkPad 2 Arriving October 26th For $799

Lenovo first announced their new ThinkPad 2 Windows 8 tablet back at the beginning of August this year, and has now revealed that the new tablet will be available to purchase for $799 from October 26th.

For that price you will also receive a QWERTY keyboard and the full Microsoft Office 2013 suite, however there is currently no news on the optional dock that provides connections for Ethernet, USB and HDMI out.

It looks like some owners of Apple’s new iPhone 5 are reporting a problem with the new back casing on the device, the problem is apparently affecting the black version of the iPhone 5, with users reporting scratches appearing on their device.

Some owners of the new iPhone 5 are reporting that their device came with scratches to the back metal casing out of the box, whilst others are reporting that the handset can be scratched easily.

LG has taken the wraps off a new headset its added to its range in the form of the new LG TONE+ (HBS-730), which replaces the older LG TONE (HBS-700).

The new LG TONE+ (HBS-730) VoLTE Bluetooth headset is equipped with LG new Voice Over LTE (VoLTE) technology. Enabling the user to carry out voice calls using High Definition (HD) sound between VoLTE supported devices.

Google Maps App Ported To Apple’s iOS 6 (Video)

When Apple released iOS 6 last week one thing that was missing was Google Maps, the mapping app in iOS now runs Apple’s own maps, and a number of users of iOS 6 have been less than happy with the new mapping application.

Google is working on a new version of Google Maps for iOS 6, which will be available some time in the future from Apple’s App store, in the mean time, one developer has decided to port Google Maps from iOS 5.1 to iOS 6.

Apple Wants Another $707 Million In Damages From Samsung

Last week we heard a rumor that Apple were seeking to increase the damages that Samsung has to pay it for infringing on Apple patents, Samsung we originally ordered to ay Apple a total of over $1.05 billion.

We previously heard that Apple may be seeking up to $3 billion in damages, and now Apple has filed a request for an additional $707 million in damages, which would mean that Samsung would end up paying over $1.7 billion.
