Adobe Ends Window XP Support for Photoshop

We can blame some of the continuing Windows XP use on the fact that many netbooks, which were very popular until a few years ago, ran XP. If you’re user of Photoshop, the Photoshop team has announced that Photoshop CS6 will be the last major version of the application to support Windows XP.

Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition Launch Delayed Until November 30th, 2012

Overhaul Games the developers of the upcoming Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition, has recently announced that the new games launch will be delayed until November 30th 2012.

The revamp of the Bioware’s classic Dungeons & Dragons-themed RPG for the PC was expected to launch tomorrow, however due to enhancements to the game which still need to be implemented the launch date has now been pushed back until November 30th 2012. Read the full announcement after the break.

UK retailer Game gives you free in-store WiFi

The UK’s largest games retailer has decided to offer free Wi-Fi in all 341 of its stores before Christmas. The service will be part of BT WiFi’s network of hotspots and will give gamers access to “all the information they need to buy there and then.”

SIM Free Sony Xperia T Delayed Until January (Rumor)

Borderlands 2 Launch Trailer (video)

Amazon Launches New Maps API For Developers

Apple will be removing Google Maps from its tablets and smartphones when it releases iOS 6, and now it would appear that Amazon has similar ambitions for its Kindle Fire tablets.

Fujifilm XF1 Compact Camera Unveiled

Fujifilm has this week launched a new compact camera in the form of the Fujifilm XF1, which comes equipped with a 12 megapixel EXR sensor, EXR processor and an integrated 25-100mm lens.

Other features of the Fujifilm XF1 include a smaller lighter design than its predecessors, with the Fujifilm XF1 measuring just 107.9 x 61.5 x 32.95mm in size and weighing 225g.

Samsung Galaxy Note II Confirmed For T-Mobile

The original Samsung Galaxy Note was supposed to be headed to T-Mobile, but the device ended up being cancelled for the network, and now details have been revealed that confirm T-Mobile will be stocking the new Samsung Galaxy Note II in the US.

The guys over at Sammobile have discovered that T-Mobile will be getting the new Galaxy Note II and the device will come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and will feature the model number SGH-T889.

New iPod Touch Appears On Amazon

Last week along with announcing the new iPhone 5 Apple also announced their fifth generation iPod Touch which is expected to launch next month, and now it has appeared on Amazon’s website.

Amazon are apparently showing an estimated shipping date of between to five weeks for Apple’s new iPod Touch, Apple’s website shows a shipping date of October.

Battery Powered Wi-Fi Kinect Sensor Created (video)

A team of researchers from the University of Bristol in the UK have created a portable battery powered, Wi-Fi equipped Kinect sensor, which has been constructed using a Linux computer, and a WiFi adapter.

The portable Kinect sensor is capable of automatically mapping it surroundings without the need for any other devices to be attached such as a laptop or games console. Watch the video after the jump to learn more about the battery powered Kinect project and see it in action.

People Start Queuing For iPhone 5 Ahead Of Fridays Launch

It looks like US mobile carrier AT&T may have two new high end smartphones next month, according to a recent report by the BGR both the new Samsung Galaxy Note II and Nokia’s new Windows Phone 8 smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 920 are headed to AT&T in October.

HP Bender Smartphone Running Android 4.0 ICS Appears In Benchmarks

It looks like Microsoft has finished Windows Phone 8, and their new OS has reached the RTM or Release to Manufacturing stage, which means that the various handset makers will now have the final version of Windows Phone 8.

Apple’s iCloud Now Features iOS Style Notifications

Microsoft Surface Price To Be Similar To That Of Apple’s iPad

T-Mobile To Offer iPhone 5 Nano SIM Cards In October

The iPhone 5 will be available with a number of carriers in the US, which include AT&T, Verizon and Sprint, as well as some of the smaller regional carriers, one network it won;t be available on is T-Mobile.

You will however be able to buy an unlocked iPhone from Apple and use it on T-Mobile in the US from October this year as T-Mobile has announced that they will be offering the new Nano SIM cards for the iPhone 5.

Apple’s new iPhone 5 will go on sale in the US and Europe this Friday, earlier we found out some details about the new A6 processor in the new iPhone 5, and now we have some more details as well as some benchmarks on Apple’s new iPhone 5.

The iPhone 5 with the name iPhone 5,2 has appeared on Geekbench, and we get to find out some more information about Apple’s new A6 processor, which is apparently a dual core processor clocked at 1GHz.

Samsung To Launch Galaxy IV (S4) In March 2013 (Rumor)

Samsung launched its latest Android smartphone the Samsung Galaxy S III back in May of this year, the handset went on sale in Europe at launch and then in the US.

It looks like Samsung could be launching the successor to the Galaxy S III in March of next year, the Samsung Galaxy S IV or Galaxy S4, the news comes from the Korea Times who have apparently received the information from a Samsung company official.

iPhone 5 Features Custom Apple A6 Processor, Not A15 or A9 Based Core

When Apple announced their new iPhone 5 last week, the also announced that the handset came with a new A6 processor, which was believed to be based on ARM’s Cortex A15 processor.

According to the guys over at AnandTech, the Apple A6 processor in the new iPhone 5 is actually a new processor which Apple has created themselves, and it is not based on a vanilla A9 or A15 design from ARM, but an Apple developed ARMv7 processor.

iPhone 5 Orders Start Shipping

Apple’s iPhone 5 went up for pre-order last Friday the 14th of September, and will go on sale this Friday the 21st of September, and now it would appear that some of the first iPhone 5 orders have started shipping.

According to the guys over at MacRumors, a number of their readers have started shipping from China, although this does not mean they will get their iPhone 5 before Friday, as Apple usually makes the delivery companies hold them until release day.
