When I go out it’s always nice to record the runs so I can compare them in the future to see if I am getting better or if any changes to the car made a difference in track times. I use a GoPro camera and have lamented the missing LCD on that tiny wearable camcorder on more than one occasion. | Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet Gets Official Posted: 07 Nov 2011 07:46 AM PST Barnes & Noble has officially announced their new tablet that we heard about last week, the Nook Tablet and it comes with a 7 inch touchscreen VividView IPS LCD display, processing is provided by a dual core TI OMAP4 1GHZ processor. The Nook Tablet comes with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of built in storage, there is also a microSD card slot for expansion which can take up to 32GB microSD cards and it will come with a range of pre-loaded apps, which include Netflix.

| Motorola Droid RAZR Gets Reviewed Posted: 07 Nov 2011 06:21 AM PST The Motorola Droid RAZR will be available on Verizon Wireless in the US from the 11th of November, and it comes with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread and a 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. Other specifications on the Motorola Droid Razr include a dual core 1.2GHz processor, an 8 megapixel camera which can record full HD video in 1080p and a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video chat.

| Project Xperience, Awesome Plexiglass PC Case Mod Posted: 07 Nov 2011 06:03 AM PST We have featured a number of different PC case mods here t Geeky Gadgets over the years, but I think the latest case mod is one of the coolest we have seen so far, the Project Xperience which was created by Florian from Hering Home Projects. The case was built from plexiglass and it features an aluminum core, and Florian planned out his design using a CAD program, and it is designed to be used as a HTPC in your living room, and according to Florian it is almost completely noiseless as it uses passive cooling.

Processing is provided by an Intel Core i5 processor and it also comes with 8GB of RAM and a 1.5TB hard drive, plus AMD Radeon HD 6550 graphics with 1GB of RAM.

| Retro Flip Watch Looks Awesome Posted: 07 Nov 2011 04:56 AM PST We loves geeky timepieces here at Geeky Gadgets, and have featured quite a few over the years, the latest one is just a design at the moment, and it was created by Gordon from the US and then sent in to the guys over at Tokyoflash. As you can see the Retro Flip Watch, as the name suggests, was inspired by those s70′s alarm clocks that flip the number over to show the current time, it looks pretty cool from the photos.

| Samsung Galaxy Nexus To Cost $289 On Verizon? Posted: 07 Nov 2011 03:41 AM PST The Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Google’s first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device will go on sale in the UK on the 17th of November, it is also expected to launch on Verizon Wireless in the US on or around that date, although Verizon has yet to confirm the exact launch date. Verizon also hasn’t revealed any details on how much the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus will cost when it lands on their network, but now it would appear that the Galaxy Nexus will retail for $289 when you sign up to a new two year contract.

| Prototype Air Conditioner Uses Salt To Be More Energy Efficient Posted: 07 Nov 2011 03:19 AM PST A prototype air conditioner has been developed which can cut cooling costs by 50 percent to 75 percent and heating costs by about 50 percent claim its creators. Unlike a traditional air conditioner 7AC have created a system that uses flat, multi-layered plastic plates covered with a proprietary membrane licensed from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Water is then flowed inside each plate, as a solution of salt water is being sprayed over the surface of the plate to create the cooling effect as the salt solution rolls down the surface of the plates, attracting water vapor from humid air. The slat water is then passed between heated plates to expel the hot moist air and then the salt minus a little water is recycled back through the system to start the process again. | Apple Considering Siri For The iPhone 4? Apple’s virtual voice activated assistant is currently only available on the iPhone 4S, but this could possibly change in the future. According to a recent report, Apple is considering releasing Siri for the iPhone 4, and it is apparently being tested inside apple with a special version of iOS 5 on the iPhone 4.

| Posted: 07 Nov 2011 02:51 AM PST Researchers at the Kobe University in Japan has developed a new mobility aid which is designed to be used the the elderly and infirm, and the device is capable of hovering above the floor and moving the person sitting on it around the room. The guys from Kobe University decided to call the device the Flying Cushion, and it is designed so that people can mover around easily, and it blows air from the underneath which makes it hover off the floor, sort of like a mini indoor hovercraft, have a look at the video of it in action below.

The Panasonic Lumix GX1 comes with an ISO range up to 12800 and it can record full HD video in 1080p in AVCHD format, and it also comes with an advanced AF system including practical full-time AF and tracking AF.

The Motorola Motokey Social comes with a 2.4 inch QVGA display plus a QWERTY keyboard and there is also a 3 megapixel camera and a 910 mAh battery, and it also comes with integration for other social networks as well as Facebook, including Twitter.

| Motorola Corvair Android TV Controller Tablet Leaked Posted: 07 Nov 2011 12:13 AM PST It looks like Motorola has some sort of other Android based tablet in the works, called the Motorola Corvair it is reported to be a TV controlled based tablet designed to be used with cable TV boxes. There really aren’t many details on how the Corvair is supposed to work, although we do have some of the specifications which include a six inch touchscreen display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, WiFi and a 4,000 mAh battery.
