Apple’s Siri Network Data Usage Tested Posted: 02 Nov 2011 06:42 AM PDT Apple’s new Siri personal assistant always requires an Internet connection to be able to answer your questions, but does this cause a problem with data usage? A little over two weeks after the launch of the new iPhone 4S a few tests have now been carried out on the device and its voice assistant feature to check just how much data Siri will use over time. The Ars Technica team have done a little investigating and have discovered that on average Siri uses around 63kb of data on each request. With data usage ranging from just 23kb up to 187kb. Not much you think but if you are on a low data tariff with your mobile network provider the requests could start to mount up. K Computer : The Worlds Fastest Supercomputer Increases Its Lead Passing 10 Petaflops Posted: 02 Nov 2011 04:03 AM PDT RIKEN and Fujitsu have today announced that their Japanese supercomputer named “K Computer” which took the number one slot for being the worlds fastest computer back in June has now increased its lead even more by passing the 10 petaflop milestone. The K Computer broke its own record by improving its processing speed to 10.51 petaflop with its 88,128 processors executing over 10.5 quadrillion calculations per second. Which it managed to run for 29 hours straight without failure.

The new modes demonstrated within the video includes a new “Kill Confirmed” game in which you have to capture the other teams dog tags after a kill to obtain points for your team. Android Smartphones Outselling The iPhone By Two To One In The UK? The report says that 49.9 of smartphones sold for that period in the UK were Android devices, this compares to 18.5 percent for Apple’s iPhone and 22.5 percent for BlackBerry devices.
