| Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8 and 10 Inch Versions To Be Announced This Month Posted: 07 May 2013 06:42 AM PDT Samsung recently announced their new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 tablet, the device comes with a 7 inch display, and now it looks like we will also see an 8 inch and a 10 inch version of the Galaxy Tab 3 later this month. As yet we do not have any specifications on the 8 inch and 10 inch versions of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, although they are expected to be similar in terms of processor and more to the 7 inch version which was announced recently, you can see the specifications on this device below.

| LG Optimus G2 To Feature Snapdragon 800 Processor (Rumor) Posted: 07 May 2013 05:25 AM PDT LG recently confirmed that they are working on the LG Optimus G2, and now it looks like we have some details on the handset, as a new LG device has appeared on the Bluetooth SIG. The LG Optimus G2 comes with the codename LG LS980, the device was recently spotted on a Sprint webpage and it looks like the Optimus G2 will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, this could be one of the first devices to launch with the new Snapdragon 800 processor.

Amazon has dropped the price of the 16GB Kindle Fire HD tablet to $179 and the 32GB Kindle Fire HD tablet to $209, the tablets normally retail for $199 and $229 respectively.

The Samsung Galaxy Core comes with a 4.3 inch WVGA TFT LCD display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, processing is in the form of a dual core 1.2GHz processor and the device also comes with 1GB of RAM.

| EU Reulators Favor Apple Over Google In Patent Battle Posted: 07 May 2013 12:07 AM PDT European regulators have found in Apple’s favor in a patent battle between Apple and Google, Google and their smartphone company, Motorola, had filed a motion for an injunction against Apple over certain core smartphone function. The EU regulators have said that they have reach a ‘preliminary view’ in the case, and they have said that Motorola’s actions “amounts to an abuse of a dominant position prohibited by EU anti-trust rules.” They also said that “while recourse to injunctions is a possible remedy for patent infringements, such conduct may be abusive where standard-essential patents (SEPs) are concerned and the potential licensee is willing to enter into a licence on Fair, Reasonable and Non-Discriminatory terms.” This follows a ruling by the ITC in the US who threw out Motorola’s claims had Apple had infringed on their patents for smartphone technology, Motorola had tried to block sales of the iPhone in the US. We wonder if Google are still happy with their purchase of Motorola, Google had purchased the company to acquire Motorola’s large range of smartphone and mobile phone patents. | Microsoft Sells 100 Million Windows 8 Licenses Posted: 06 May 2013 11:57 PM PDT Microsoft has announced that they have sold more than 100 million Windows 8 licenses, the company’s Windows 8 and Windows RT fist launched in October 2012, and by January of 2013 Microsoft had sold a total of 60 million licenses. The 100 million figure includes Windows licenses that ship with a new PC and tablet, plus it also includes people who have upgraded from previous versions of Windows.
