Oculus Rift Full Body Awareness Hand/Arm Gesture Demo Released Posted: 30 Apr 2013 07:07 AM PDT Another awesome demo has been released this week showing what the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset is capable of and some of the features that might be available in the future within games and applications. Developer Kelly Weaver has published a YouTube video showing the Oculus Rift developer kit combined with full body awareness, that allows you to see a pair of virtual arms and carry out virtual gestures whilst viewing the world through the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset. Apple And Samsung Return To Court In November Posted: 30 Apr 2013 06:44 AM PDT Judge Lucky Koh has set a new date for the trial between Apple and Samsung, the two companies will return to court in November, between the 14th and 18th, the trial will deal with the damages that were awarded to Apple in the previous trial. Samsung were originally ordered to pay Apple $1 billion US dollars in damages, this was reduced down by $450 million to $650 million back in March, the $450 million that was removed from the original damages was related to 14 Samsung devices. Sony’s Big Indie Push For PS4 & PS Vita Is Paying Off Posted: 29 Apr 2013 03:59 PM PDT Steam and the App Store as well as XBLA before them might have put indie games on the map, but it’s now the tiny studios and independent developers who are making platforms, not the other way around. Nintendo seems to have realized this by dropping the vast majority of its requirements for indies to get onto Wii U, but it’s Sony who is receiving most praise from indies for its forthright submission process and communication with developers.
