| Nokia Considering Windows 8 Tablets? Posted: 28 Oct 2011 03:16 AM PDT Nokia released its first Windows Phone smartphones the other day, the Nokia Lumia 800 and the Nokia Lumia 710, and from what we have seen so far Nokia’s Windows Phone devices look promising. Now it would appear that Nokia could also be considering getting into the tablet market, with Microsoft’s Windows 8, As Nokia’s CEO Stephen Elop recently told the FT, that Windows 8 could present an interesting opportunity for Nokia.

| Samsung Sold More Smartphones Than Apple In The Last Quarter Posted: 28 Oct 2011 03:06 AM PDT Last week we heard that Samsung may have overtaken Apple in the last quarter for the number of smartphones shipped, and now Samsung has released the figures on its smartphones, and the company shipped a total of 27.8 million smartphones in the last quarter. Apple announced recently that they had sold a total of 17.1 million smartphones in the last quarter, this works out at 14.6 of the market, which compares to Samsung’s 23.8 percent of the market.

| Samsung Focus S To Come With 1GB of RAM, 32GB Storage? One of those is the new Samsung Focus S, and according to a recent report the Samsung Focus S will come with 1GB of RAM and will also available with two storage options, 16GB and 32GB.

| Windows Phone Apollo Launching Middle Of 2012? Posted: 28 Oct 2011 02:42 AM PDT Microsoft is just finishing up rolling out the latest version of its Windows Phone software, version 7.5 Mango, but what about the next major update, which is codenamed Apollo? According to the guys over at Engadget, we could see Windows Phone Apollo land in the middle of 2012, and the new came from a Nokia executive, Michael Halbherr, who said that Apollo will be a ‘very different game’ to Windows Phone Mango.

HP’s new CEO, Meg Whitman has confirmed that HP will be working on Windows 8 tablets, she also confirmed that HP wont bring the TouchPad with webOS on it back from the dead.

| Apple’s HDTV To Be Powered By Siri? Posted: 28 Oct 2011 02:21 AM PDT We have been hearing rumors for a while that Apple were working on their own HDTV, and it was all but confirmed by the late Steve Jobs, in the Steve Jobs biography by Walter Isaacson. Now according to a recent report by the New York Times, the Apple TV, not the set top box that is already available, but an actual TV made by Apple could posdibly launch in 2012 or at the start or 2013, and it will be powered by Apple’s Siri.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be available with a range of different mobile carriers here in the UK on contract and it will also be available SIM free, it will also go on sale in the US in November.

The BlackBerry Porsche Design P9981 smartphone also features a 5 megapixel camera which can record HD video in 720p, and it also comes with NFC, and the BlackBerry 7 OS features a custom Porsche Design font and icons.

| Motorola Only Shipped 100,000 Xoom Tablets Last Quarter Posted: 28 Oct 2011 12:58 AM PDT Motorola has released details of its quarter three earnings, and they also announced that they had shipped a total of 100,000 Xoom tablets in the same quarter, which is obviously more than they actually sold. As a comparison, Apple sold a total of 11 million iPads in the same quarter, that 100 times more tablets sold by Apple than Motorola actually shipped.

| Windows Phone Mango Lands On 100 Percent Of Eligible Devices Posted: 28 Oct 2011 12:34 AM PDT According to the latest information released by the Windows Phone team, Windows Phone 7.5 Mango is now available to 100 percent of eligible devices, although there seem to be just a few devices left which are waiting for the update. According to a recent blog post, the Samsung Omnia 7 on Telefonica is still in testing, as is the Dell Venue Pro on AT&T and the Samsung Focus 1.4 on AT&T, so we guess that just three devices left out of all the Windows Phone devices is pretty good.

In reality it’s more like a World of Warcraft and Starcraft-themed amusement park where thinly veiled characters from both games are given a Chinese makeover. The worst part is the whole venture is a Blizzard rip-off. By ‘rip-off’ is not meant mere product piracy and its attendant copyright infringement, but whole chunks of the WoW and Star Craft games used in a sprawling amusement park. We’re referring to rides, statues, and entire building constructed to resemble the stuff you see in the games. The only thing missing are tank-bred zerglings that you can pet.
