| Nokia Lumia 800 Goes Up For Pre-Order In The UK Posted: 26 Oct 2011 05:36 AM PDT Nokia’s new flagship Windows Phone smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 800, which was announced earlier today has now gone up for pre-order in the UK, and is available from the Nokia website, with a couple of mobile carriers here in the UK which include Three and Vodafone. It looks like the versions of the Nokia Lumia 800 available to pre-order from their website at the moment are ones with a contract, there are no details of the SIM free version as yet.

Apple has this morning sent out an email requesting that all customers that have already purchased and downloaded the iBook should delete their copies and re-download a new copy at no extra cost from the iBook store. A few customers had reported that the pictures were not loading correctly and that the formatting within the pages was out of line, within the iBook edition that was released earlier this week. The Nokia Lumia 800 comes with a single core 1.4GHz processor, a 3.7 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, plus an 8 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, have a look at the official Nokia videos below.

The Nokia Lumia 710 will come with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, and it features a 3.7 inch WVGA touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, processing is provided by a single core 1.4GHz processor and it also comes with 512MB of RAM and 8GB of built in storage.

| Siri Ported To The iPod Touch (Video) Posted: 26 Oct 2011 03:10 AM PDT Apple’s virtual voice activated assistant Siri is only available on Apple’s new iPhone 4S smartphone, but we have already seen it ported to the iPhone 4, the original iPad and now it has been ported to the iPod Touch. Although it would seem that the latest port has the same problems as the previous ports as Siri on the iPod Touch is unable to connect to Apple’s servers, have a look at the video below.

| HTC Release OTA Update To Close Security Hole Posted: 25 Oct 2011 11:50 PM PDT Earlier this month we heard that a security hole had been found in HTC’s Android devices, where certain devices could grant third party applications to access personal data, HTC acknowledged the security flaw an promised to release a fix. HTC has now released an OTA update for certain devices to close the security hole, and rather than rolling out the update by individual handsets it would appear that HTC is rolling out the update by mobile carriers, as all devices which have had the problem on the Sprint network are receiving the update.

Solar Ship Joins The Airship Craze Posted: 25 Oct 2011 01:56 PM PDT Since every industry is preoccupied with trends, it comes as no surprise that airships have come into vogue among the aviation-inclined once more. The Solar Ship from Canada’s Solar Ship (what?) is a solar-powered energy-efficient flying machine that doesn’t register high in the sexy scale (a place reserved for the F22 Raptor) but is actually quite feasible. It’s also rugged and slow enough for the passenger to take nice photos (see below).
