| iPhone 4S, Apple’s Fifth Generation iPhone Gets Official Posted: 04 Oct 2011 11:40 AM PDT Apple has officially announced its latest iPhone, the iPhone 4S, which shares the same design as last years model, the iPhone 4, although the new model has a range of new specifications over the existing iPhone 4. The iPhone 4S will come with the latest version of Apple’s mobile OS, iOS 5 which has a wide range of new features that we have heard about previously, and it gets the same A5 processor that can be found in the iPad 2, and according to Apple it is two times faster than the iPhone 4, with dual core graphics which are reported to be seven times faster than the iPhone 4.

| Apple’s iCloud And iTunes Match Coming October 12th Posted: 04 Oct 2011 10:56 AM PDT As well as announcing the launch date of iOS 5, Apple has also announced that its new iCloud service which replaces its MobileMe service will be available from the 12th of October. Apple’s iCloud service will sync your photos and videos from the camera roll as well as app data and your iOS device settings, plus documents from iWork apps and other apps, and when you change a document on one iOS device it will be synced with iCloud and your other iOS devices automatically.

We have already seen many of the new features in iOS 5 over the last few months, which include the new lock screen that will display notifications, Twitter integration, the new camera home screen shortcut, iCloud, iMessage and much more.

Terms of the deal have not been officially published by either side but its thought it will be completed around the 30th November. Back in 2008 Best Buy purchased Napster for $121 million which included Napsters 700,000 subscribers at the time. However times have been a little hard lately with added competition from the likes of Slacker, MOG, Spotify and Pandora to name a few. | Students Break Electric Car Land Speed Record (video) Posted: 04 Oct 2011 08:34 AM PDT Its taken a team of over 130 BYU engineering students and more than seven years to complete the task but now their Electric Blue Electric streamliner has finally broken the electric car land speed record. The Electric Blue streamliner raced down the Bonneville Salt Flats setting an average speed of 155.8 mph and hitting a maximum speed of 175 mph. The Blue Electric streamliner is powered by lithium iron phosphate batteries and now holds the record for electric cars under 1,100 pounds. | Google Nexus Prime Photo Leaked Posted: 04 Oct 2011 07:02 AM PDT We have been hearing more and more about Google’s latest smartphone, the Google Nexus Prime, which is being made for Google by Samsung, and now the guys over at GSM Arena have got their hands of a photo of what is reported to be the new Google Nexus Prime. Unfortunately we don’t get to look at the full device, but what we can tell from the photo, if this is actually of the new Nexus Prime, is that it will feature a HD display with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, this is something we heard previously, and the display is reported to measure 4.6 inch and be a Super AMOLED display.

| Apple Rejects Samsung Deal In Galaxy Tab 10.1 Patent Suit Posted: 04 Oct 2011 02:43 AM PDT Last week we heard that Samsung had offered Apple some sort of deal on the patent lawsuit between Apple and Samsung in Australia, which is to do with Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet. It looks like Apple has decided not to take Samsung’s proposed deal, and an Apple lawyer told the federal court in Sydney that Samaung’s latest offer wasn’t enough for Apple to reach a settlement on.

| iPhone 5 To Be Exclusive To Sprint In $20 Billion Deal? Posted: 04 Oct 2011 12:34 AM PDT According to a recent report by the Wall Street Journal, Sprint has signed a deal with Apple which is reported to be worth $20 billion, and Sprint will carry the iPhone 5 exclusively. The deal is reported to last until 2014, and this would see Sprint buying around 30 million iPhones from Apple until 2014, and the device will apparently be a 4G WiMax device exclusive to Sprint.
