| Astrid Task Management Application Shutting Down on 5th August Posted: 06 Jul 2013 11:27 AM PDT We all have a pretty good idea that when a service is acquired by a giant corporation, the chances are that it will close down one day or another. Few months back, Posterous was acquired by Twitter and was later shutdown. Another example is Wavii that was acquired by Google and was later taken down. The same fate was expected for Astrid when it was acquired by Yahoo in May. It really happened; the company announced that the popular task management application, Astrid will shut down on August 5, 2013. The news emerged from M.I.C gadget blog—that has a solid history in this field— who posted some hands-on pictures that allegedly show the much awaited budget iPhone. The leak suggests that the budget iPhone is set to launch with iPhone 5S later this year. | Samsung ATIV Q and ATIV Ultrabooks Available for Pre-Order in UK Posted: 06 Jul 2013 07:04 AM PDT Samsung unveiled their impressive Ativ lineup last month in London at Samsung Premiere 2013 press conference. The list of devices features Ativ Q hybrid dual boot laptop that runs Windows 8 and Android, and Ativ Book 9 laptops. Earlier this week, the pre-orders started for Samsung Ativ Q Hybrid laptop for €1,599 in Germany. From today, the lineup is also available for pre-orders in the UK as well, with Ativ Q being priced at £1,399 while Ativ Book 9 Lite is available for £499 for the non-touch version and £599 for the touch screen version. Lastly, the Ativ Book 9 Plus is priced slightly higher than its counterparts and is available for £1,299. According to LightreadingIndia, a Windows Phone 8 device is under development in their R&D center, however, there is no guarantee that LG will release it globally.
