After suffering a minor delay, the Enhanced Edition of Black Isle’s seminal classic Baldur’s Gate is finally hitting the App Store’s imaginary shelves. There is no dearth of RPGs playable on Apple’s devices, a significant amount of which look and play better than this very oldest of school one. But not many of them saved their genre back when they were released.

Sony’s PlayStation Store Now Live On Web

Sony is finally getting its very own xbox.com in the form of a web version of its until now PlayStation-bound Sony Entertainment Store. The service offers the same films, TV shows and more importantly full downloads of retail games on release day as the console store, but is still in testing and not officially announced  yet.

International HTC Butterfly Get Official

HTC announced their J Butterfly Android smartphone back in October, and now they have announced the international version of the device, which will be called the HTC Butterfly, the handset is also available in the US as the HTC Droid DNA.

The HTC Butterfly shares similar specifications to the Droid DNA and the J Butterfly, it comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and features a 5 inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

YouTube Guide Subscription Features Rolls Out To All Devices

This week YouTube has rolled out a new update to its YouTube Guide feature rolling it out on to all devices. The new update follows on from the updates Google made to their YouTube service last year to make it easier for users to subscribe to channels they were interested in.

The new YouTube Guide homepage now enables you to organise your YouTube channels to match your preferences and your viewing on you Tube, and includes a subscription field guide that flows across both the site and all devices.

LG E940 With 1080P Display And Snapdragon S4 Pro Headed To AT&T

It looks like AT&T are about to get another new Android smartphone, the LG E940 which has appeared in some benchmarks, that have revealed that the handset is headed to AT&T.

The LG E940 will come with a full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, there are no details on what size the display is as yet, although we would suspect around 5 inches.

HTC 8X, 8X And J Butterfly Headed To China This Month

HTC has announced that it will be launching its latest smartphones in China this month, one Android device and two Windows Phone 8 smartphones, which include the new HTC J Butterfly and the HTC Windows Phone 8X and HTC Windows Phone 8S.

All three devices will be available in China around the middle of December, with a number of different carriers which include China Unicom, China Telecom and China Mobile.

Google Launches Free Snapseed App On Android And iOS

The awesome Snapseed  application which was recently purchased by Google after it acquired Nik Software, has now been made available for free by Google on both Android and iOS.

Previously the price for the Snapseed photo editing application was $4.99 but Google in their generosity have now made the app free to download for iOS devices, and today launched the app on Android devices as well.

Samsung Galaxy S IV To Feature Unbreakable Display (Rumor)

The last thing we heard about the new Samsung Galaxy S IV is that the handset is expected to be unveiled around April of next year, and now according to a recent report the Galaxy S IV is rumored to come with an unbreakable display.

We already know that Samsung is working on flexible display, which we are expecting to here more about early next year, although we did not expect these new displays to actually be in a smartphone which is launching next year.

LG Says They Are Working To Meet Nexus 4 Demand

Google’s new Nexus 4 smartphone has become an extremely popular device, as soon as the handset is made available again on the Google Play Store, it sells out pretty quickly, although yesterday some handsets were available in the UK with a shipping time of 5 to 6 weeks.

Contact Lens Prototype Equipped With Embedded LCD Display Unveiled

A new prototype contact lens has been developed which is equipped with an embedded LCD display, and unlike current LED-based contact lens displays, which are limited to a few small pixels the new LCD contact lens creation allows the use of the entire display service.

The announcement of the new LCD contact lens was released this week by The Centre of Microsystems Technology (CMST), imec's associated laboratory at Ghent University (Belgium).

Mushkin Unveiled Worlds First 480GB mSATA Solid State Drive (SSD)

Mushkin has added a new solid state drive (SSD) to their range this week announcing the creation of the world’s first 480GB mSATA drive. Up until the launch of Mushkin’s 480GB SF-2281 based Atlas mSATA drive, the previous largest drives were 240GB/256GB.

The new Mushkin’s 480GB SF-2281 solid state drive is equipped with Trim, ECC, SATA 6Gbps, and upgradeable firmware, with max read speeds of 540MBps, write speeds 425MBps, with 78K random read IOS and 28K random write IOPS.

Amazon App Store Downloads Up 500 Percent In A Year

It looks like Amazon’s App Store is becoming more popular as the company has announced that the downloads from its mobile app store have increased by a massive 500 percent in the last year.

Amazon also said that apps which use its GameCircle platform have also doubled in the latest year, and in app purchasing is also becoming more popular, with 23 of the top 25 apps using the feature.

T-Mobile Signs Agreement To Sell Apple Devices In 2013

T-Mobile is the only major US carrier that has not sold Apple’s iPhone, that is about to change as T-Mobile has now confirmed that they have signed an agreement with Apple to sell their products next year.

T-Mobile have yet to reveal which Apple devices they will sell on their network in 203, but we presume it would at least be Apple’s new iPhone 5 as well as the iPhone 4S, you can see a statement that T-Mobile gave to The Verge below.

Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G Announced For MetroPCS

Samsung and US mobile carrier MetroPCS have announced their latest Android smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G, and the device comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

The Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G features a 3.65 inch HVGA TFT display, there is also a 1GHz processor, plus dual cameras with a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video chat and a rear facing 3 megapixel camera for photos and video.

Half of all app revenue on Android and iOS goes to just 25 developers

Research firm Canalys released a study of the App Store and Google Play that confirms the findings of a previous study. It shows that during the first twenty days of November, 25 developers got half of all app revenue. We are talking about $60 million distributed among them.

Spotify Now Has 1 Million Paid Subscribers In The US

Music Streaming service Spotify has announced that they now have more than one million paid subscribers in the US, and have a total of 5 million paid subscribers around the world.

At a recent press event, Spotify CEO, Daniel EK announced the new milestone for Spotify, and said that it took them around one year to reach the one million US paid subscriber mark.
