That isn’t the case anymore with OnStar offering a series of add-on mirrors that add the service to any vehicle you might own. Last year OnStar tracked Santa Claus and his movements on Christmas Eve for children. | BlackBerry 10 Headed To EE, Orange And T-Mobile Posted: 20 Dec 2012 03:09 AM PST Yesterday we heard from UK mobile carrier Vodafone that they will be offering the new BlackBerry 10 smartphones when the handsets launch early next year, and now UK mobile carrier EE has announced that they will also be offering the new BlackBerry 10 smartphones. As well as EE, the new BlackBerry 10 devices will also be available with other UK mobile carriers which include Orange and T-Mobile, EE is a partnership between these two companies.

| HTC One XL Gets Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update Posted: 20 Dec 2012 02:42 AM PST It looks like HTC has started rolling out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to another one of their handsets, the HTC One XL, and it would appear that the update is being rolled out to users in Asia initially. Owners of the HTC One XL in Singapore and Taiwan have reported receiving the update, there are no details as yet on when the Android 4.1; Jelly Bean update will be rolled out to other regions.

| Ofcom Announces UK 4G Auction Bidders Posted: 20 Dec 2012 02:31 AM PST At the moment we only have one 4G LTE provider in the UK, EE, although that is set to change next year and now Ofcom has released a list of companies that will be bidding in the 4G auctions in the UK. Ofcom has said that the auction of the 4G bands in the UK will increase the airwave’s available for mobiles in the UK by around 75 percent, you can see full details on the companies bidding for the 4G below.

| Google Sells Motorola Set Top Box Division For $2.35 Billion Posted: 20 Dec 2012 02:19 AM PST Google has announced that they have sold off Motorola’s set top box division in a deal worth $2.35 billion in cash and stock, and Motorola Home has been purchased by the Arris Group. Google will get about $2.05 billion in cash in the deal plus around $300 million in stock, which gives Google around a 15.7 share of the company.

The Acer V360 will come with a 4.5 inch qHD display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, processing will be provided by a dual core 1GHz processor and the device will also come with dual cameras.

| White Motorola RAZR i Headed To The UK This Week Posted: 20 Dec 2012 01:09 AM PST Motorola launched their Intel powered RAZR i in the UK back in October, and now it looks like they are also launching a white version of the device which will be available from UK retailer Phones 4U from the 22nd of December. The white Motorola RAZR i shares the same specifications as the existing model, which include a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display and it comes with an 8 megapixel camera which can record HD video, a BSI sensor, HDR and a 10 shot feature.

| “The War Z” Stripped From Steam Following Bad PR And Misleading Claims Posted: 19 Dec 2012 06:32 PM PST Zombie MMO “The War Z” has been taken down from Valve’s digital storefront less than a week after its release. The move comes in response to user backlash over questionable claims made by developers about game features. Promised features that never materialized are multiple maps extending over 100 – 400 sq. km (the game offers only one much smaller map), private servers and Hardcore Mode to name but a few.

| THQ Bought Out For $60 Million, Files For Bankruptcy Anyway Posted: 19 Dec 2012 06:16 PM PST THQ’s well documented troubles have finally caught up with the company, leading to today’s bankruptcy filing. The good news is this will apparently have no adverse effects on THQ’s studios, pending games currently in development or more importantly its headcount. Granted, this might have something to do with the fact that THQ’s assets are being sold to Clearlake Capital Group for a cool $60 million, but a shake-up with no redundancies is more than even most companies can manage.
