| Sony Honami Based Rom Ported To Xperia Z (Video) Posted: 07 Aug 2013 12:41 AM PDT The Sony Honami is expected to be announced at IFA next month, we have already seen some of the handsets features and apps, and now the guys over at the XDA developers have created a custom ROM for the Sony Xperia Z based on the Honami for the Xperia Z. UK retailer Expansys has the handset listed on their website for pre-order and they are showing a release date for the device of the 5th of September.

| Sony Confirms Xperia Tablet Z Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Update Posted: 07 Aug 2013 12:05 AM PDT On Monday we heard that Sony had started rolling out the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update to the Sony Xperia Tablet Z, the update had been released for the LTE version of the device. | New Kindle Fire HD On The Way (Rumor) Posted: 06 Aug 2013 11:56 PM PDT It looks like Amazon may have a new Kindle Fire HD on the way as they have dropped the price of the existing 7 inch model in the US from $199 to $159. This could mean that Amazon are clearing their inventory to make room for an updated Kindle Fire HD, and we previously heard that Amazon may be working on a new 7 inch device with a higher resolution display.

| Motorola Moto X Headed To Verizon 23rd August Posted: 06 Aug 2013 11:35 PM PDT We had previously heard a rumor that the new Motorola Moto X would be headed to Verizon on the 23rd of August, and now the guys from Android Central have received more information confirming this launch date. The Motorola Moto X comes with a 4.7 inch HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 pixels, plus a 1.7GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2GB of RAM.

We have already seen a number of photos of the handset and now we have some press shots ahead of today’s launch. The LG G2 will feature LG's new super thin 5.2 inch LCD display, the display with come with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the device will feature touch controls on the back of the handset.

| New Android Unlock Patent Will Launch Specific Apps Posted: 06 Aug 2013 10:16 PM PDT A new patent for Google’s Android OS has been discovered at the USPTO by the guys over at Engadget. The photo below shows how the patent will work on the lock screen of an android device. The new unlock screen will let you unlock your device using a pattern unlock, and when you use that pattern you will automatically go to a specific app.

| NVIDIA Tegra Note Premium Tablet Details Revealed Posted: 06 Aug 2013 10:05 PM PDT It looks like NVIDIA may be working on a new tablet that will use their NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor, the device recently turned up on GFXBench with the name NVIDIA Tegra Note Premium. The NVIDIA Tegra Note Premium will apparently feature a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels, the tablet is rumored to be around 7 inches in size and will come with a 1.8GHz Tegra 4 processor.
